Thank you for this reply. No 1. Is noted 7yrs experience in the bank will be utilised. No 2. Age is abt 28+, education is OND and HND, IELTS not yet written No 3. I will revisit page one From 2 above is the age still okay? What if it reaches 29 or 30 MrPein: Hi. 1. Your friend can use the 7yrs experience in the financial industry to apply even though she has resigned. The job title isn't specific, so one can't advise on NOC category.
2. It isn't too late to enter the pool. Her CRS will be dependent on her age, level of education, IELTS score etc.
3. Read page one. |

Thank you Boss @JustMellow for this write up. Intended 3rd party is jot a family member, no much of a strong relationship unless few pix which was recently. No educational, financial or economic support... Intended sponsor lives in UK but visits 9ja at least once or twice a year. So no old picture of any kind. Tuition fee and living expense can ve arranged to come from Sponsor and PA can also show some level of economic establishment as PA currently owns a registered business as a food vendor with 7yrs experience in the financial industry (resigned). Do you think there are chances this will fly? Just a little more advice or boost. Sent u a PM please check More suggestion is needed @everybody. Thank you JustMellow: Hello Favouriteguy,
Using a third-party sponsorship is not a total red flag if a strong relationship, history of educational, financial, or economic support, and adequate financial commitment can be demonstrated.
Drawing a family tree, sponsor's marriage & birth certificate, related parent's marriage & birth certificate, old photos of your sponsor together with you and/or your family, etc. are good proof of relationship.
Tuition payment and LE transfer to PA is also a good financial commitment demonstration. In all this, PA's parents should play a role. If PA is a matured applicant, PA must demonstrate an adequate level of economic establishment likewise including personal financial statement and employment information.
Best of Luck |

Don't kind me sis @Iamgrac Okay I will hold on to this advice as I am advocating for a friend who wants to use a 3rd party sponsor to achieve this purpose. No Picture No relationship Na to think of convincing story now o Iamgrac: I'm a sis lol A third party sponsor must not necessarily be your blood relative, you just need to prove to the visa officer that a strong relationship exists between you and the sponsor and also explain y he or she wants to sponsor you. Peace ✌️ |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Favouriteguy: 4:47am On May 19, 2022 |
Thank you very much bro. What if this 3rd party haven't supported ever before and he or she is not blood related? Iamgrac: From the little information I've gotten from nairaland over time Third party sponsorship is allowed You just need to explain to the vo why such person is willing to sponsor you And also is he or she can still sponsor you even after catering for his family needs. And as for what's required, you'll need your sponsor statement of account |

This story is sweet. Congratulations ayandee: I put to bed via CS on 26th february. Recovery was smooth. My mum and mother-in-law really helped. CRS simulation was 430 even with a master's degree as i was 37 at the time. I started searching for ways to improve my score and stumbled on another nairaland thread on TEF/TCF. On 1st April, I started french classes. After 7 months of intensive lessons and exam préparation, I sat for TEF on 26th October. Results were releases 14th November. My TEF story was shared here. I had the following: TEF: Compréhension orale C1, Compréhension écrite C1, Expression orale B2, Expression écrite C1. It was one of my happiest moments.
I had evaluated my masters and with that, i had been in the pool since August. After 2 consecutive draws between November and December, i finally got ITA on 19th December and that was the last draw of the year 2019. My crs was 470 and draw was 469.
POF for family of 5 was challenging as we had committed our funds to real estate since we had no travel plans. Thank God for family and friends. They came through for us. I submitted application on 6th february 2020. Then covid happened and everything came to a stop. I called IRCC, i emailed, i cried, I prayed, i fasted. No response. I got tired of webforms and gcms notes..
PPR came like a thief in the night on 7th february 2022 exactly 2 years after. I practically screamed. I was overjoyed.
We sent passports to Cairo on 9th february 2022. Passports were returned with COPR on 3rd March. We started packing our bags. We did a lot of shopping as we had 10 luggage spaces and i wanted to use up the luggage allowance. We booked Ethiopian airlines for 11th April. Family and friends were with us at departure. There were tears of joy.
Food and in-flight entertainment was ok, not superb. It was a long flight. We stopped over at Addis Ababa and Dublin. We finally arrived Toronto 2pm of 12th April. The immigration queue was terribly long. Inspite of a 4hour layover time in Toronto, we missed our flight to Winnipeg but were lucky to get another flight. (Please if your final destination is not Toronto, ensure you book a flight with a longer layover in Toronto. A 4 hour lay over may not be enough).
We landed in Winnipeg at 7pm just before an awaited snowstorm and headed straight to an airbnb which we had booked earlier.
I am gradually settling in. I am still trying to come to terms with the time difference. It's a whopping 7hours between Nigeria and Canada.
I am glad to be here. It's home to me and it's worth every bit of my push, sacrifice and effort. I love the elementary and middle schools. The facilites are top-notch. I had an overwhelming sense of fulfilment the first day i accompanied my kids to school. I love the people of Canada, especially Manitoba. They are very kind and welcoming. I love the sérénity and the calm. Will i do this again if i have to? Yes! |

It all started in 2014, I wanted to go for study then, I sent my transcript to WES for processing but when l calculated the money for study I discovered we don't have enough to pull me Tru so I opted to do my Msc in Nigeria. 2018, I wanted to consider EE, I wrote IELTS but scored 7665.5 so I couldn't enter the pool with the result but luckily I was able to enter MPNP, few months after I received LAA, a month later I declined due to some circumstances beyond my control. I wrote another IELTS and re entered the pool in 2019. The thought for study came back when MPNP refused to draw till this year June when they started again. So during the waiting, I began to search for sch. I applied to a sch and l got their LOA and to submit study permit application became problem. I wanted to use agent but my husband said No, try it urself. We fought but later succumbed. Someone introduced me to her friend who got rejected but later approved thru the help of Nairaland. I talked to him and he said l should come here. Well I'm a ggc, I didn't know how to operate Nairaland but was able to send mail to two people and luckily both of them responded. @ahyotomiwa took my matter for head as if l know him before, he taught me how to operate Nairaland and sent me the link to follow for my documents. I wrote 6pages SOP, he corrected it and reduce it to 3pages without collecting Kobo. I pray the Lord will perfect everything that concerns you bro. He told me some tricks to avoid lump sum cos l had them and everything worked together for my good with the help of God. I'm giving glory to God alone cos l have received my identity. I am in my new. When l submitted my application, God gave me a song by Judikah
You do not lie, you do not fail what is hard for u to do it doesn't exist ooo, it can never exist ooo. I pray everyday using Isaiah 41: 18 and God answered. I joined NSPPD prayer every morning and many others and he didn't fail me. I fasted tooo every Tuesday since I submitted huuummmm My application was not perfect cos I saw some mistakes but God perfected it. Thank you God, thank you Nairaland. My story is not complete without u. I have recommended many people to join Nairaland cos u people are superb.

CalcreteJB: tracking with VFS or DHL??
If its VFS, they should send you a tracking #, then you can enter it in
https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-GPTWave1/Track/Index?q=shSA0YnE4pLF9Xzwon/x/CQ1P0LBKn66dLdNUfueK+yzShCR5+RPxbigEFl/W14/B2caAAJ+pjEGG2r7ohd6rA==
If its DHL, just visit dhl site and go under tracking, then enter the code issued to you at DHLs office Hello guys, I am back again. The online tracking and all those failed and kept me on anoda long waiting queue. I sent my passport 15th Sept and started waiting. I mailed VFS global after 3weeks and I was sent a tracking number. Everyday I check VFS and DHL site but nothing changed. Me that has gotten passport request, why is it taking too long to give it back to me? On Friday morning in the office while working on a serious task, I checked again and nothing changed only to get a call "Hello Sir" the DHL man called. I rushed out to receive my package, still nothing changed on both sites but the man told me my passport had arrived on Thursday. It was after I had opened my package that I refreshed and the site updated. The tracking is good but the package can be ahead of what the tracking currently says. NB: Mine is a permanent residence visa submitted 15th Sept and returned 29th Oct. |

sirenoel: LONG POST ALERT
This Canada waka started in 2014 after my NYSC, I told my people I didn't want UK anymore, I wanted Canada. That time I used an agency, but after admission was secured, family issues meant we had to pull the plug.
Fast forward to 2020, I started the process again, secured admission with Centennial College, Ontario. Went on YouTube and read some articles online and that was how my SP application was put together. I had submitted my application before I found this platform. Needless to say that my heart cut when I saw that half the documents listed here I did not submit (lmaoo). My only assurance now was God and my confidence in my SOP, because trust me, that was it... Had paid a semester fee and submitted receipts. No sworn affidavits, no document was notarized, 8 year study gap, I was also making a change in careers.
Had my father as sponsor. Lost my mom the same day I submitted my application. Had to do Biometrics in tears.
So from 31st December, 2020 the wait started. Lol, you don't want to know. I sent them mails ayer 2 months initially, then I had focus on some other things for my mental health. I stopped checking my GCKey and went on with my life.
Would you believe it took these guys a mail to send me a medical request? It also took a mail for it to be passed? You guessed it, a mail to get BVL... lmaoo and a mail to get this PPR you guys are seeing on my page like this.
So what's the lesson here. Don't let these people sleep since they won't let us sleep in peace.
Thank you to this platform for keeping me going at times. Reading that you're not alone has a way to soothe your mind just that much to keep you going. Thank you to the gurus on this platform, you guys are doing a lot. Well done.
FINI! Congratulations It was indeed God all through. |
