They need to install some DAMN air conditions in that airport, I was in MIA and it felt like 1000 degrees there, cos the air conditions were broken and not working, now they want to install body scanners?!!! Seriously , Misplaced priority, story of my country. What a freaking shame. The heat in that airport alone will drive terrorist away, lol,

Litmus:

Those Nigerian players don't eat Nigerian food, they feed on oyibo fad rubbish, such as pasta. They need to eat eba and yam and plantain, and such for maximum energy. African food did not fail African players of the past who burst onto the intentional  stage and startled the international community with their athleticism and strengths.  Those old teams failed on strategy  and technical planing.  We will always fail as Africans when we abandon what appeared to work for us as Africans in favor of what we think will be better for us in adopting foreign things.

I live in England and none of us here  are slimmer, stronger, healthier or better looking than those of us back in Nigeria that live on Nigerian food.

I completely agree with you, i live in Atlanta and the nigerians here are overweight and unhealthy compared to the ones back home. I visited Nigeria last month and notice that they are much much more healthier than us here in America. I have since changed my diet to organic and nigerian foods. I brought some food from my trip to nigeria. I plan to shop only Nigerian and organic stores. American diet is a slow killer, wonder why they have all these disease here in America, It is absolutely pathetic.
thanks for bringing it up.

Moi Moi can be Calorie dense if you go overboard with the condiments (corned beef, eggs, eggs, oil E.t.c). I dont think it can be "unhealthy" it can however pack up a lot of unnecessary calories.
Visit http://littlemissgastronome..com/ for picture, recipes and ideas.

Simple Moi-Moi with Hard Boiled Eggs

I know it can be calorie dense but i don't think it can have any kind of unnecessary calories. I will be adding salmon, eggs and crayfish. Those are all pure protein. Beans has good protein and good carbs. Oil, maggi, salt and water all contains very little or no calories at all. I guess it all depends on the ingredients.

I can supply honey to u in large quantities, depending on the amount you need.

Contact me on kjkd@tmo.blackberry.com lets discuss more about this venture.
Siena:

I would first check with US customs, make sure honey's not on the prohibited list.

I just checked and it says they prohibits food made from Animal materials. But i just came from Nigeria last month and brought in beans, egusi, crayfish and dry fish and i cleared customs at the airport, the only thing they took away from is the couple of yams i brought, it was on the prohibited list. Im surprised because there are Nigerian stores that sell yams here in Atlanta. I wonder how they brought it in.

tpiah:

to market something as organic, it has to be certified organic by the relevant board.

so find out if moinmoin falls within those parameters.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_food

of course this doesnt mean you cant label moinmoin as organic food if you so wish.

if you mean health food:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_food

Thanks. I am currently looking into the organic categorisation of moi-moi. To be certified organic, they have to contain all organic ingredients which is what i plan on using.
ugo_2u:

moi moi when well made is da bomb, there is nothing better!
Yep, which why i want to go into the business.
dominique:

@poster
it's a great idea and your nigerian clients will welcome it. you can also spice it up and make it healthier by grinding garlics and ginger along with the beans wink
Thank you. never thought about ginger and garlic, will definitely give it a try.

nat138:

Moi-moi I guess is one of the healthies meals we have in Nigeria, but if you are starting a food outlet and want to introduce moi moi on you menu, pls and pls do not use beans flour for the moi moi, do it the natural way as in wash the beans and grind and use, this is because beans flour does not come out tasting like the real moi moi at all, and watch out that you donot use so much oil and donot kill over the ingredients, cos when all these are too much in moi moi, it just does settle well in the stomach.
Well this is just my opinion.
Cheers!

Thanks for the advice. I plan to use beans to make the moi moi and use all natural ingredients also. No preservatives or nothing of that nature. I dont plan on introducing this at any restaurant, i dont have a restaurant, i plan to make this and deliver to people at their house and offices.

Missy B:

I can't figure what can possibly make moi-moi unhealthy.

Beans = Protein - builds up, maintains, and replaces the tissues in your body. No?
Thanks for the input. Im just gathering inputs from my fellow Nigerians before i move forward with my venture
