Only if you legally reside in the country via: Work permit Study permit Diplomatic visa Residence permit, etc. If you just travel there for the purpose of applying for visa, or you are on a temporary visitor’s visa, you will most likely be denied. Med38: 2 Likes |

Go ahead. Your old passport number will be on the new one. Besides they won’t check appointment confirmation letter (my experience when I submitted for a colleague with error in passport number on the appointment confirmation letter). However, ensure that you don’t submit your application form -yet so you can change the passport number to the new one once you get it. Malevonent: 1 Like |

I wanted to share an update on this case so others in similar situation can learn from the experience: 1. I made the IW submissions on behalf of the 3 of us at the DHL Office in Abuja. 2. The appointment confirmation letter/email (that contained the error) was not requested, just the DS-160, the Passports and Passport Photograph. 3. The visas were issued except mine that returned a 221g (long story) but that has also been issued. 4. Timeline of submission -took exactly one month for the issued visas and an additional one week for my 221g. Very special thanks to everyone that offered suggestions when I first brought the matter here. While I advise that applicants should ensure that they check their submissions for errors, a typo in the appointment data would not affect your submission. Goodluck to everyone applying. fcisca: 4 Likes |

Coo1mana:I’m not sure you can still edit your submission once the processing has commenced but you may wish to try. Also for tourism visas, they may still issue after your date has passed knowing that you can always reschedule your trip. I’m my own case, I’m going for a conference starting on Monday. |

Newboy1102: Thank you for your response @Newboy1102. I have not paid for flight, but the accommodation booking would automatically debit my card by tomorrow. The organisers in Brazil emailed them yesterday and they replied that the application is still in process. Will my visiting the consulate in-person to nudge them change anything? Thanks |

Dear Nairalanders. My travel date is in 2 days time and I'm yet to hear from the embassy. I have sent them emails but did not get a response. Anyone experience this? Coo1mana: |

Good day Nairalanders and US visa gurus. My elderly colleague made a mistake in his passport number on the appointment portal, but not on the application form. Will he be allowed to submit to dropox? The Passport number space is locked for editing and the appointment is next week. KIndly advise PS: The names and passport number are also correct on the bank payment receipt. |

Thanks. I submitted my application on November 3. I didn't need to give biometrics at this time since the last one is still valid. Jossy43: |

Good morning Dear Nairalanders. I submitted my application on 3rd November and woke up to the mail for the original passport request this morning. I have a couple of questions please: 1. Can I submit my passport by proxy? Like to send someone to submit my passport for me. 2. Which is faster for Passport Return between Abuja and Lagos? Thank you all and all the best to those still waiting for their good news. 4 Likes |

Thank you @NotsonewMary and @Earthrealm. After six hours at the DHL Abuja, I collected my passport with the visa issued. If you wish to spend less time, get there before 6AM and you may be lucky to be among the first 20, then you are certain to be done by 9AM. Goodluck to everyone in the application pool. 2 Likes 1 Share |

My apologies for responding late to this. Speaking from personal experiences, your work permit is a legal status. Your home ties give a double advantage. Samxx: |

Good day nairalanders. Happy Eid to everyone celebrating. Please does anyone know what it looks like or care to share experiences with picking up their passports from DHL Abuja? The IW submission was hellish and I need to know what to expect at pickup. TY. |

If you have a legal status in the country where you’ll be for the 6months period, you can apply and do your biometrics there. Samxx: |

You can call the airline’s Nigeria office and have them book the flight for you over the phone, they’ll give you the naira quote and payment instructions. Alternatively, use Wakanow, you get charged in naira and their prices are almost the same -even cheaper sometimes. But for Wakanow, your travel dates must be firm, hardly any room for change. paradisewoods: 1 Like |

Get tretinoin cream or gel. It’ll get worse before it gets better because the tret will purge your skin. Shagbatshagba: |

This is fungal acne, that is why it has refused to go even after all the treatment. Retin-A would work but get the Tretinoin Gel variant. Be sure to apply only to the affected part, also note that it may get worse before it gets better because retinoids will usually purge the skin by breaking out all the acnes under the skin before clearing it. You have to be patient, acne treatments could take up to 6 weeks before a noticeable improvement in the skin condition SaAyomikun: 1 Like |
