The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has urged Nigerians against voting for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Osinbajo said PDP stole Nigeria’s money during its 16 years in power, hence must not be allowed to return in 2019.

He spoke at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Door-To-Door-Campaign and flag off of the Professor Yemi Osinbajo, PYO, Support Group over the weekend in Lagos.

Osinbajo also stated that President Muhammadu Buhari will not allow people in power steal the country’s money.


He stressed that the difference between Buhari and other presidential candidates seeking office in 2019 was that he won’t steal money, while others are pushing for a return to power so as to steal money.



The Vice President stated that there are leaders who want to steal and those who want to use Nigeria’s money for the common good of citizens.

According to Osinbajo, Buhari belongs to those who want to use the country’s money for the common good.

He said: “We should not allow those who have stolen our money in the past to come back. They stole all the money and they want to come. People are saying, enough is enough.

“In four years, PDP spent 383 US dollars. And they want to come back. Sixteen years is enough.

“After 16 years of ensuring that the country did not make progress, they want to come back. They will never come back.”

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to claim by the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole that he will lose the 2019 presidential election.

Oshiomhole had yesterday said God will punish both former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Abubakar which will translate in President Muhammadu Buhari defeating them in 2019.

He had spoken to newsmen after receiving APC women leaders from Edo State in his office in Aso drive, Abuja.

The former Edo State governor reminded Obasanjo that he swore that God should punish him if he ever supports Atiku to become the president.

Reacting to Oshiomhole’s remark, Abubakar, through his Media Aide, Paul Ibe said Buhari would be retired to his Daura home town after 2019 elections.

Ibe warned that the APC National Chairman should prepare for the fate that awaits him, President Buhari and his party in 2019.


Speaking with Vanguard, Ibe said, “It is not political soothsayers like Oshiomhole that will determine the outcome of the elections but let it be known to him that President Buhari will not only be defeated, he will be retired to his beloved Daura in 2019.

“Does Oshiomhole think that Nigerians are fools? What will determine the direction of votes are the insecurity challenges, job losses, pain, anguish, and economic strangulation that this incompetent government has subjected Nigerians.

“For Atiku, it is about jobs; for Buhari, it is hopelessness. For Atiku, it is about opportunities; for Buhari, it is insensitivity. For Atiku, it is about inclusiveness; for Buhari, it is clannishness. Atiku is all about Getting Nigeria Working Again.

“So, we urge Oshiomhole to keep his peace and allow Nigerians, who have passed through hell in the hands of his principal, to cast their votes in a transparent, free and fair election.”

Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), have formally adopted a former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its presidential candidate in the 2019 election.

Chairman of the coalition and a former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, said this on Wednesday in Abuja at the opening of a meeting of the national chairmen of the parties involved.

He recalled that the coalition at the inauguration of its steering committee was saddled with the responsibility of selecting a joint presidential candidate for the coalition.

“In furtherance of this objective, therefore, the steering committee invited all political parties in the coalition to forward to us memoranda detailing their suggested ideas on how the candidate of the coalition should emerge and the criteria to use.

“The response was very impressive and rich. The steering committee, which as you all know, has every coalition party represented in it, distilled the suggestions, the aggregate of which was used to arrive at the result,” he said.

He listed the criteria used in the selection process as national acceptability of candidate and party, strength of the structure of candidate and party across the country; competitiveness of the candidate’s party as against the APC candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari and financial strength of candidate and party.
CUPP comprises the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and 45 other opposition parties.

National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has launched a fierce attack on former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his support to his erstwhile estranged deputy, Atiku Abubakar who is the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the next general elections.

APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole According to him, both Obasanjo and Atiku would be divinely punished at the polls in February, saying Atiku’s political infidelity would be his main albatross at the polls. Oshiomhole spoke yesterday when he received women leaders of the APC from across the local governments of his home state, Edo who were at his private office on a solidarity visit.

The APC chairman also lambasted Messrs Atiku and Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the PDP, faulting their calls for the resignation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris and Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

He said while Atiku wants to replace the IGP, Secondus is bent on becoming the INEC Chairman with the sole aim of subverting the electoral process. Obasanjo, Jonathan, Sambo, others, grace Atiku’s turbaning Oshiomhole also described as prodigal sons, some aggrieved governors of the party who have been threatening to work against its governorship candidates in their states, adding that the party would not immediately sanction them for anti-party activities as their main punishment would come from the electorate.

1. The US Congress investigated Atiku and they conclusively determined with facts and bank documents that Atiku took bribe from Siemens and deposited that funds into his wife's bank account. Siemens plead guilty and paid fines and restitution to the US government.


Another pending case against Atiku in the US.

This particular case is the main reason why Atiku is on the US Visa ban list, this is the main reason why he's subject to FBI arrest on sight.


Siemens, his accomplice has confessed and so Atiku cannot escape this allegation especially with bank records showing how he deposited the bribe money. They have the bank records, account numbers and so on.

POLITICS – As the campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, kicks off in Sokoto State on Monday, the former vice president of Nigeria has appointed three men and a woman as aides.

The new appointments are contained in a press statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, in Abuja on Sunday.

The new appointees include;

1. Ahmed Adamu, Special Assistant (Youth and Strategy)

2. Aliyu Bin Abbas; Special Assistant (Youth Support Groups)

3. 3. Phrank Shuaibu, Special Assistant (Public Communications)

4. Funmi Lamuye, Special Assistant (South-West).

Mr Adamu, 33, academician, petroleum economist and leadership and development expert, who hails from Katsina State is the pioneer Global President of Commonwealth Youth Council.

He was an international expert at the United Nation’s Global Forum on Youth. He was also ranked among the top 100 most influential young Nigerians by Advance Media Africa.

Mr Abbas, 34, an indigene of Borno State, is Director General of the Atiku Cares Foundation. ACF, a philanthropic platform of the former Vice President for humanitarian interventions to vulnerable persons and communities has under the leadership of Abbas, made a great impact in bringing succour to the most vulnerable around the country especially in the Northeast zone.

Mr Shuaibu, 43, a publicist and public communications consultant, hails from Kogi State. He is known to have acted as a publicist for several Nigerian politicians in the past.

He was the Producer of Mind Your Grammar and a former Special adviser to Kogi State governor on Public Communication and Strategy. He was also Consultant to Delta Governor on Public Communication and Strategy.

Mrs Lamuye, a lawyer and philanthropist from Iwo, Osun state, is the founder of Prince Alade Lamuye Foundation (PALF), a vehicle she has used to impact on the lives of the widows in her state of Osun.

She was until recently a member of the National Assembly Service Commission.
