The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign following the scenario that played out during the 2019 budget presentation to a joint session of the National Assembly on Wednesday. Atiku said in saner climes, the expected outcome of the event, would have been immediate resignation. The former Vice President said this in a statement signed and made available to DAILY POST by the Special Adviser on Youth of Atiku Abubakar’s Support Groups, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas. The statement reads, “President Muhammadu Buhari’s emphasis that the world is watching while the Legislative Arm disagreed and indirectly passed a vote of no confidence on him is a clear indication of his failure and incompetence. “That majority of the country’s lawmakers disagreed with Mr. Buhari should have told him that there is loss of confidence in his administration. “What he ought to have done was the needful, instead of attempting to whip up unnecessary sentiments by repeatedly saying, ‘The world is watching’. “Was the world not watching, when this present executive arm of government led by Buhari blatantly refused to respect other arms through arm twisting and intimidation? “The same Buhari with impunity refused to respect the Judicial Arm when they granted bail to Dasuki. “The same government failed to realise that the world is watching when they blatantly looked the other way as Nigerians are dying daily of hunger and deprivation as a result of the government’s insensitivity and incompetence. “The world will actually be expecting Mr. Buhari to see the hand writing on the wall that Nigerians from all demographics are completely tired of him and are gearing up to oust him through the polls. “Buhari should also remember that as we go to the polls, the world will be watching, hence there should be no attempts of subverting the will of the people as the world will back Nigerians to vehemently reject and attempts to illegally prolong his stay in power. “Just as we wait for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar whom we are optimistic as a result of his popularity will trounce Buhari at the polls to be sworn-in in 2019, we call on Nigerians to be patient and do the needful during the polls.” Source : http://dailypost.ng/2018/12/20/2019-budget-buhari-done-booed-lawmakers-atiku/

Suddenly he seem to be commissioning projects that were meant to have been completed long before now. The APC quest for continuous hold to power is really worrisome. May we be cured of this plague come February 2019. |
Ignorance has even confused you. Listen to yourself. seanfer: |
So you think it's only GEJ's admin that was corrupt? You are so ignorant. seanfer: |
Is America heaven? yarimo: |
Please, it's the executive thieve of Lagos state amaniro: |
Why are you confused and being a hypocrite? This was his 75th birthday oga, stop lying. You all in this administration are just liars. Gennygolden: |
You all always have your way around to counter your critics by trying to deviate from the facts that stare you in the face. It's really pathetic that you all have been brainwashed by this lifeless man. deomelllo: |
You should be domesticated because you're a wild ignorant fool. He has come out with facts but your stupidity and selfishness won't allow you to be reasonably sane, instead you just go all wild out with insults to a man who has achieved the best form of credible governance in Nigeria, that no one in your generation will ever perceive due to your reckless wild ignorance. deomelllo: |
Oga wee you keep qwayet. When GEJ was in power, he experienced the most criticism ever in the history of Nigeria, so many protests yet there was nothing like a bill against hate speech. But today Buhari has limited our freedom and you are in sole condemnation of criticism against him? You must think we are all blind to the works of this tyrant. Save your breath because in France, their president is being condemned, in USA, many musicians sang against Trump calling him names and you come out here ignorantly with your fanatics shouting hate speech, you must be a fool without equal. Almost every activists that has spoken against this government has been or is still in prison, even politicians on the opposing side have been intimidated or threatened. So WTF are you trying to preach against? 1972xy: |
Couldn't wed his wife? Ayam not understanding please. If he couldn't wed her, how come you called her his wife? Or do you want to come out with lies like your minister Lai? Or are you just confused like your lifeless Buhari? But then, y'all submit your brains the moment you become tools for APC. ashacot:
|
All this Buhari supporters are either fanatics, bigots or paid. It's really pathetic. deomelllo: |
Buhari has learnt so much from his lying Lai. He was given everything he needed. He even got new armored cars after the attack on him. But in return he has been harassing and intimidating his opponents consistently. So what sort of hypocritical leveled playing ground is he talking about? |
Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has debunked claims that some former presidential aspirants in the last national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, are now working against Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who emerged the party’s flag bearer for the 2019 election. The Governor also disproved reports that some governors in the South South and South East were against Atiku and his Vice presidential candidate, Dr. Peter Obi. Okowa said that all the aspirants that contested for the ticket of the PDP and all the party’s governors have come together to push the campaign of Atiku. The Governor spoke on the ‘Morning Show’ programme of Arise News, insisting that contrary to reports, the party has gone beyond the issues relating to the party’s primaries. According to Okowa, “There is no truth in the words that former presidential aspirants are not supporting Atiku. All of them are supporting him. I’m not aware of any aspirant that is not supporting Atiku. “Even though I cannot mention all their names, we have people like Governor Aminu Tambuwal playing a significant role in the campaigns; you have Senator Kwankwaso also playing a prominent role in the campaign. The Governor of Gombe is playing prominent role in the campaign. These are all former aspirants playing prominent role. Even Aminu Turaki is playing a prominent role; a whole lot of them. “For those you are not seeing visibly, they also have assignments they are undertaking in the background for the party because it is not possible to engage all of them in directorates, but because they are presidential aspirants does not mean that they are not party men. “Each and every one of them is on board and each and every one of them has a special role to play. The fact is that you will begin to see Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, more because he is the arrow figure as the Director-General of the campaign. But all others are fully involved in the campaigns; there are no problems at all.” Speaking further on the claims that the governors of the South-east and the South-south are not fully part of the Atiku project, he added, “That is not the reality on the ground. “People are over hyping it. The South-south and the South-east caucus met on Friday in Port Harcourt. In that meeting, we took decisions on what next to do. We are indeed planning a South-south zonal rally. Committees are being put in place ahead of the elections under the leadership of Governor Nyesom Wike. A date is likely going to be taken for the rally in the early part of January. “There are actually no problems within the South-south; I can confirm that to you. In the South-east, yes, there were some initial hiccups; there is no doubt about that because there were certain party procedures that was supposed to have been followed that were not followed. Some of us believe that we were not taken along before the announcement of the vice presidential candidate. “We also understand that the candidate has the right of choice of who would be the vice presidential candidate. We have moved beyond that. We have had meetings where we have been able to talk over all the issues. “The fact is: some leaders of the party including all the governors ought to have known before the announcement of the candidate; not because they want to change the choice but they just wanted to be briefed formally before the information was given to the press. But that has been pushed behind us and we are moving forward. “The South-east is also meeting. It is a strong PDP zone. In politics, there are always issues and the issues have to be discussed. The South-east is fully on board; from the last meeting we had in Rivers State, so is the South-south. So, I don’t see any challenge in any of the zones at all, not right now.” By John Owen Nwachukwu Source : http://dailypost.ng/2018/12/18/2019-gov-okowa-speaks-pdp-presidential-aspirants-governors-working-atiku/

Unfortunately, we already have a president who doesn't respect the rule of law nor the constitution. We are more unfortunate under this lifeless man than any other administration ever. olajide8: |
Akbar Al Baker, the chief executive officer of Qatar Airways, says his company was not looking to be a core investor in the national carrier project, Nigeria Air. Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the ongoing 18th Doha Forum in Doha, Qatar, Al Baker said the Nigerian government only approached them for help on how to go about floating a national carrier. While refuting rumours that the national carrier project was suspended for lack of investors, Hadi Sirika, minister of state for aviation had listed Qatar Airways and Ethiopian Airways as some of the potential investors of the national carrier. “We never applied to serve as core investor in the proposed Nigerian national carrier. The government of Nigeria only approached us on how to go about setting up the carrier. And we advised that Nigeria needs massive investments to float a national carrier,” Vanguard quoted Al Baker to have said on Sunday. “Nigeria, being the largest country in Africa, cannot afford not to have a national carrier that competes, first in Africa, and then the global stage. Again, Nigeria must also have the airport that can accommodate modern aircraft that can drive competition.” He said his company also advised Nigeria on the type of aircraft to acquire for profitability and that Qatar Airways would rather encourage the Nigerian government to designate some airlines to Doha rather than pay royalties; pending the floating of the new national carrier. Al Baker also said Qatar Airways will not fly into Abuja or other routes in Nigeria so as not to kill the domestic airlines in the country. Let God be the judge Sunmolar: |
We tried chang but it din't work, in short, it failed woefully. Sunmolar: |
My point is that, Buhari made vague promises without proper intel on the current state of the economy only to later come out with his blame game. Hence, illiteracy is really bad. olajide8: |
Yet Buhari has been staying in Nigeria, promised change but instead brought the worse form of poverty to this nation. olajide8: |
If PDP dined with people's future, then APC has imprisoned Nigeria's future. It's really pathetic that APC made several blind promises while on the sideline just to get them on board and today they keep blaming PDP instead of making Nigeria work as they actually promised. Sunmolar: |
A man with a realistic vision for this country. Nigeria will get better with Atiku come 2019. |
It's really pathetic to see that we keep seeing and hearing about rapid attacks despite that we have a retired military general as our leader. This nation really needs to move forward for god-sake. Our soldiers go abroad for peace keeping to nations they don't have proper intel but yet come out ridiculously successful with minimal casualty. But here in Nigeria, they get slain like chickens in their own land where they are supposed to be smarter and very well equipped. May God deliver us from the hands of an incompetent lifeless ruler. |
I hope you watched the VP debate last night? You should very well know that Buhari has failed. omoowo8888: |
No, but when you go to Obudu, Tinapa, Abuja (Kubwa - AYA express), amongst a few, then come back and ask me that same question. abduljabbar4: |
If PDP was really past tense, why has APC chosen to dedicate enormous resources just in a bid to ridicule the integrity of PDP? omoowo8888: |
Someone as lifeless and intellectually dumb like himself should know well enough than to ask such question. Of course he is not good enough. We need Atiku to liberate us from the hands of this tyrant. |
This one has Buhari's similarities. Unrealistic promises and visions. |
Gandollar is about to get richer if he is suggesting that just this bridge will cost about N15bn is really ridiculous. What will then be the cost of the rest of the infrastructures? APC government always have their way around embezzling funds. |
Buhari doesn't take any issue serious that is of uttermost importance, not even when several lives are lost. A lifeless incompetent old man. |
APC will use every false information in a bid to ridicule PDP while they ignorantly make a fool of themselves. |
It's so pathetic that everyone and anyone comes out here and post irrelevant and unsubstantiated information out here just in a bid to deceive several under-informed Nigerians. APC through Lai Mohammed has ridiculed itself and this nation through false information in the name of criticizing same people that therough their efforts gave them this mantle of leadership. It's really unfortunate that they have chosen to use the most powerful tool (Information) ignorantly. |
