damidamsel:Congrats on your baby. She does not av colic my dear...leave all dis colic mata. Don't give anything! She will be fine. As per sleep, she's still adjusting to life outside the womb. Bear with her, her sleep patterns won't be the one you are used to now. Also, don't worry about the poop, she's fine. Ensure she latches on very well during breastfeeding. If you can, get a nursing pillow from burlington; it will be of good help during breastfeeding. also ensure you burp her after each feed. carry her on the shoulders and run her back. I used similac from hospital till 6 months thereabout. the milk isn't the issue. In these first days, you will notice a lot, just keep your mind at rest and watch her. Don't panic and don't rush to the paed. That was how my days old son did poop for say 4 days, my gran disturbed me oooo so tey i ran to paed. only to be told dat it was absolutely normal for breastfed babies...lol |

Ebony13, the painful feet may be as a result of weight gain. I think I experienced such and granma told me to soak my legs in hot water with bath salt or cooking salt. Can't even remember if it worked bt u can try it out. I remember wen I gave birth, I poured Epsom salt into my bathtub filled with hot water and soaked myself inside to relieve pain and it worked! |

Ugochiada How are we doin? Everyone please answer let's be sure this train is moving perfectly. I'm sure we all have registered for our antenatal classes. I will be sharing some TIPS FOR A HEALTHY PREGNANCY You can feel wonderful during your pregnancy if you take good care of yourself. Increase your odds of a healthy pregnancy by following these sensible steps to keep yourself in top condition: 1. Eat five or six well-balanced meals each day. 2. Take a prenatal vitamin each day as directed by your obstetrician or midwife. 3. Drink plenty of fluids -- at least eight to 10 glasses a day -- avoiding caffeine and artificial coloring. 4. Don't drink alcohol. 5. Don't smoke or allow yourself to be exposed to secondhand smoke. 6. Exercise -- it's important for your general health and also can help reduce stress. Take a pregnancy exercise class or walk at least fifteen to twenty minutes every day at a moderate pace. Walk in cool, shaded areas or indoors in order to prevent overheating. Swimming is also a good one 7. Get adequate sleep -- at least eight hours a night. If you're suffering from sleep disturbances, take naps during the day and see your physician for advice. 8. Wear comfortable, nonrestricting shoes and put your feet up several times a day to prevent fatigue and swelling of the feet, legs, and ankles. 9. Continue to wear a safety belt while riding in motor vehicles. the shoulder portion of the restraint should be positioned over the collar bone. The lap portion should be placed under the abdomen as low as possible on the hips and across the upper thighs, never above the abdomen. Also, pregnant women should sit as far from the air bag as possible. 10. Don't take over-the-counter medications or herbal remedies without first consulting your obstetrician or midwife. Sources: National Women's Health Information Center; American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Also, let's try to educate ourselves. There are lots of resources online at your disposal. When you are armed with these pieces of information, you should endeavor to ask your doctor questions whenever you go for your clinic visits. This will help you in making informed decisions whenever the need arises. |

Moyingirl:Teamie, pele. Take it easy and try to rest. You will be fine when you resume work. Wat u will do is this, take naps inbtwn even at work. Wen i feel weak, i gently walk into the meeting room, lock the door and rest my head for at least 30mins then take a cold glass of water. Also, always have water on your desk, keep gulping even when u are not tasty. Dehydration can also make you weak. Happy bumping |
blessedchick:Teamie good to have you here! We re doin great! How re u? |
Adorablewifey, e-hugs! My prayers are with you! You will be back sooner than you expect. The Lord grant you the strength to go thru this. |
