For this alone and for his marvelous works in Osun state as governor in the last three years, history and posterity will be very kind to him. I say this because never in the history of our country has the Yoruba suffered so much shame, marginalisation, humiliation, insults, contempt, aggression and disgrace as they have under the present dispensation and under the auspices of the Federal Government of President Goodluck Jonathan.
They have literally brought us to our knees and deprived and denied us, with relish, of our rightful place in
the scheme of things in the Nigerian contraption. Under this government we do not have any positions in the top twenty key positions in this country. We cannot get jobs for our teeming youths or the kind of opportunities that are freely given to others. Our businessmen cannot get a fair share of government patronage and that which they already had and that they acquired before the advent of Goodluck is being whittled down and taken away from them.

I am constrained to say that I have nothing but contempt for the way that the Federal government is presently being run and I have no qualms about criticising the performance. The deadliest Ebola outbreak recorded in history is happening right now. The deadly virus has killed more than 600 people in West Africa so far.
Barely 24 hours before his death, Patrick Sawyer had a rather strange - and in the words of medical and diplomatic sources here, "Indiscipline" encounter with nurses and health workers at First Consultants Hospital in Obalende, one of the most crowded parts of Lagos, a population of some 21 million inhabitants, FrontPageAfrica has learned.
Looking to get to the bottom of Sawyer's strange ailment on the Asky Airline flight, which Sawyer transferred on in Togo, hospital officials say, he was tested for both malaria and HIV AIDS. However, when both tests came back negative, he was then asked whether he had made contact with any person with the Ebola Virus, to which Sawyer denied. Sawyer's sister, Princess had died of the deadly virus on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Catholic Hospital in Monrovia. On Friday, July 25, 2014, 18 days later, Sawyer died in Lagos.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that the average incubation period for suspected cases or someone who has made contact with an Ebola patient is eight to ten days from exposure to onset of symptoms. The range is from two to 21 days. "That's why we recommend that contacts of an infected person go on a fever watch for 21 days," says Stephan Monroe, deputy director of CDC's National Center for Emerging Zoonotic and Infectious Diseases, at a briefing Monday.
Since the first report surfaced in March, there have been more than 1,201 cases reported and unfortunately 672 deaths in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, the CDC says. "This is the largest Ebola outbreak in history and the first in West Africa. It's a rapidly changing situation and we expect there will be more cases in these countries in the coming weeks and months. The response to this outbreak will be more of a marathon than a sprint."
Back in Lagos, authorities at the First Consultants Hospital in Obalende decided that despite Sawyer's denial, they would test him for Ebola, due to the fact that he had just arrived from Liberia, where there has been an outbreak of the disease with more than 100 deaths.
The hospital issued a statement this week stating that Sawyer was quarantined immediately after he was discovered to have been infected with the deadly virus. In addition, a barrier nursing was implemented around Sawyer and the Lagos State Ministry of Health was immediately notified. Hospital authorities also requested the Federal Ministry of Health for additional laboratory test based on its suspicion of Ebola.
FrontPageAfrica has now learned that upon being told he had Ebola, Mr. Sawyer went into a rage, denying and objecting to the opinion of the medical experts. "He was so adamant and difficult that he took the tubes from his body and took off his pants and urinated on the health workers, forcing them to flee.
The hospital would later report that it resisted immense pressure to let out Sawyer from its hospital against the insistence from some higher-ups and conference organizers that he had a key role to play at the ECOWAS convention in Calabar, the Cross River State capital. In fact, FrontPageAfrica has been informed that officials in Monrovia were in negotiations with ECOWAS to have Sawyer flown back to Liberia.

It's beyond belief that a cure hasn't been found for the ebola virus since 1976 when it first occured. According to a news article on Huffington Post, there could have been a vaccine available to combat ebola. Leviticus 27:30-33 He should take the firstfruits annually from his crops and livestock annually to the Temple in Jerusalem Nehemiah 10:37-38 (good luck finding that) and his tithes annually to one of 48 Levitic cities scattered throughout Israel Numbers 35:1-8 to give to the Levites living in those cities. The Gentile living in Israel should also take a second tithe annually to Jerusalem to the Feast of Weeks and eat that tithe with his family and with the Levites Deuteronomy 14:22-27 And every three years, the Gentile living in Israel should keep the tithe on his own property to feed the widows, orphans and foreigners of his community there in Israel with the tithe for that year Deuteronomy 14:28-29

The presidency, the report said, released the funds to leaders of the chibok community in Abuja for onward passage to parents of the kidnapped schoolgirls. But some of the parents are now alleging they were shortchanged by the community leaders. One parent, who was among those who visited the president, told BBC’s Abdu Halilu that he got only N200,000. ” I got only N200,000 out of the said N100million allegedly received by our leaders in Abuja. Some of us got N300,000 and some less than that,” he said. He also said that he was not comfortable with the way the money was shared among the parents of the kidnapped girls and that he was shortchanged. “Our leaders in Abuja are using the girls to enrich themselves.
In fact, some of the parents were screened out of the entourage by the Chibok leaders in Abuja. Many of them were residents of Abuja, not parents of the kidnapped girls,” he said. Another parent, who was screened out of the delegation that visited the president, said he got only N7,000 out of the money shared. “I was at the farm when they brought the N7, 000 to my house and I collected it. Some of us got even less, N300 and below,” he said.
The parents stressed that they were not selling their daughters and that the money from the President just came to them without their asking for or expecting it. One of the community leaders, Pobu Bitrus, who is also a member of the House of Representatives, was at the meeting with the president. He explained to the BBC that after meeting with the president, monies were distributed to the parents in envelopes. “After we met with the presidency, the parents were given monies in envelopes and that’s all. All other things they are saying about N100million, I don’t know about that,” Mr. Butrus said.

The federal and state government should be proactive to inform the whole country about the dangers of this epidemic.

There should be stringent search and procedures at all ports of entry to the country with immediate effect.

But i trust our government, nothing will be done to create awareness expect to attack everyone that doesn't support their agenda.

They might even say it was caused by the opposition.

In some countries, they will even ban flights from countries where there has been a reported uncontrolled disease.

The whole world is watching how ineffective our government has been.
Our government cannot protect the lives of the citizens, instead they are quick to label any opposition as enemies.

These kinds of carnage cannot happen twice in the developed countries, because they take the protection and lives of the citizens very seriously. I cannot imagine that motor park has got bombed more than 3 times now.

All we get is the same sound bite from the government that they are on top of the situation, yet innocent, peace loving people are dying needlessly.
