The purpose of all these sanctions is to force Russians to remove putin from power. But according to one site I read two days ago, a pole was carried out and more than 69% of Russians are supporting putin now, more than they've been for a while now.

Also the numerous sanctions has made Russia a rogue state meaning that the US has basically increased the number of rogue states. 2. Sending the MIG-29s into Ukraine leaves a vacumn that cannot be immediately filled as America wont send them replacements immediately.
