jaxxy:Like it's always said,we Nigerians listen and enjoys organized noise/sounds other than carefully crafted music and well penned songs.Hence, our Stars who are idolized abroad often fail with us.Think of Timi Dakolo,Style plus, Wizkid,Banky W and so many other global talents.Meanwhile at home,we celebrate meaningless noises like the Davido you mentioned.Even Tuface that's now acknowledged as the global giant,e get how im music no dey enter us well.My bro was in Atlanta in the US and the custom officials were asking him about Tuface sake of say he locked down the city that same night in a concert |
My secondary school class mate.Really?l wonder the kind of background he came from that time |
Klintzs:If you ever went to a public university,do a Google search and find out how much it would have costed you to earn same certificate abroad.Think of nafdac and your health.Imagine life without police etc |
helinues:If this was written against prophet Muhammad, I'm sure some parts of this country would have been in flames and ashes by now.Religion of peace indeed |
Annie001:Music is a thing of the mind.It has nothing to do how generous one is or has been. |
OkpaNsukkaisBae:Naturally it should have been the turn of the east but their senseless obsession with this Biafra will not let Nigerians trust them with the presidency. In addition and most importantly, they have not shown themselves to be politically sopthiscated resulting in their poor voting strength |
NkanAkpanika:I'm from Benue state deal in food stuffs, especially yams and beans.I supply mainly to Port Harcourt.I'm thinking Uyo/AKS might be another good opportunity for me.Can you help with any info? Thanks for reaching back |
OK op,, though your writeup is terrible for a graduate, but i will overlook it..I do hope and pray OP takes this.l had a very similar experience with a lady who initially told me she was a med lab scientist, awaiting service.Later she was to tell me she was a microbiologist, later she wasn't even going for the service. After much probing she emerged with a story of how family problems wouldn't allow her finish paying all her school fees and I was to help with that.As I was to help inspite of how gravely disappointed I was becoming, she now changed mouth that she actually attended a polytechnic and not a university. These are actually runs girls using the fake prestige of studentship to improve their overall value |
Yeah.I received upto seven different dishes from neighbours.I likewise gave out as much as I can. That's the tradition in my area: exchange of food among neighbours and well wishers |
philip0906:What a furious response!Hope and pray all is well though.I could be from a Benue village but I assume I'm better alive than the many Davido boys whose lifespan is shorter than that of a housefly.... the way you sound to me like one |
Viltron:We are so blessed in my area then(Benue state).I received seven different dishes from the neighborhood and couldn't finish half of it.It's regular Christmas culture here, sharing of Christmas food and drinks.Right now on my sink are different kind of plates |
helinues:It's still regular Christmas culture in my area here (Benue state) I received more than seven dishes of rice from the neighborhood today.Infact, I was woken up by one of those small girls that would bring it |
mfm04622:They are not looking themselves in the face and saying the truth to each other. They the indigenous people are purely responsible for this by way of bunkering. When they are truly done they know what to do |
philip0906:If you any closer to him, tell him to grow up.This is becoming too childish and suggest inferiority complex, especially in the face of Wizzy's international recognitions |
seunmsg:in addition to several months salary arrears. The man is just a disaster in our state |
Chopchopfine:That fufu appears cheap.Where is this Sir? |
Tbeiz:I still don't understand it.Don't you think this is too technical to be deployed at this stage of our development?if I as a university graduate don't have a clue about this inspite of your trying to simplify it, how much more our Mamas in the villages? |
BabaCommander:Delta state? just yesterday I was with one of my cousins who does menial jobs down there and he was like Delta state is so blessed naturally but just that the people there don't like hard labour because according to him,"they have too much money".He was full of praises for his Delta masters. The money they make there, much as you can see it as small makes alot of difference in their lives. They use it, overtime to permanently establish their lives by marrying and starting a business.I wish you are here to see how everywhere is becoming bubbly as they are returning, infact their coming with money makes everywhere sweet ehn...as in they bring gifts, organize local parties and spend around the village generally, making Christmas feel really like Christmas.Meanwhile, many thanks for your continued hospitality and generosity to them |
DubaiLandLord:I don't quite agree with you.I'm here in Benue state where food is shipped all across Nigeria.I know this even better because my house is close to the highway down south. Our markets are also dominated by easterners buying all manner of foodstuffs. We here don't receive any form of government support.I think what works for us here is extremely cheap labor and favourable weather in terms of average rainfall as opposed to the South with too much rain which most crops like grains and rice don't like |
Fiscus105:The cost was to be borne by the Parties as INEC was to merely supervise. This same man citing security concerns is authorising a national census next year |
I can now understand military takeovers resurging all over West Africa. Our so called democratic leaders tend to become so so autocratic after winning second elections.Just imagine how PMB has become so insesitive to the feelings and mood of Nigerians? the worst thing about this all is that the man has effectively pocketed the national assembly to the extent they are less than a rubber stamp with the speaker and SP reduced to errand boys in the aso rock kitchen |
Abagworo:Do we in Benue state dash you our Ortom?one borehole commissioned in six years and seven months in owed salaries |
Nosayer:You people should learn to appreciate nah, even if he is wasting the money, you can see where he is wasting it.How about Benue state where all the governor has commissioned in six years is one mechanical borehole that collapsed soon after and he is still oweing civil servants up to seven months in salaries? |
jumper524:The godfathers often keep their jokers in the pack closer to their chest till the last minute. The result is always that the one who's with the loudest campaign do not always win in the end.The Abiola and Ernest Shonekan scenario should be brought to mind.Likewise the Awolowo and Obasanjo situations. In this two scenarios, the losing candidates had wider political structures across the nation but were never picked by the northern elites for the top job! |
nosiebaba:I'm only forty two but have two sons, one of which recently graduated from the University and is awaiting service.Infact he was the one that registered me on nairaland. My second boy is in j3.I'm so lucky that throughout my kids schooling time, not once have I heard any complaining about there being stubborn or broken any rules, likewise from neighbours. When I will go for PTA meetings, you need to hear the grave reports brought by the school authorities against kids. From serial stealing, destruction of school properties, jumping of fence, abscondments and all things considered as bad.I think my case is different because my kids were raised by my parents the old fashioned style of using the rod and enforcing rules and regulations.l know even better because I'm presently a high school teacher and I know the extent to which most modern day parents can be mad when their kids are corrected in any way that brings them some little discomfort. It's a disaster waiting to happen the incoming generation |
T0T0fucker:I live in a village and I hear all kind of evil things ascribed to us.What I have noticed overtime is that most people who avoid the village for fear of being bewitched or say killed are usually brought back here in caskets far more younger than some of our men and women here.In some circumstances,we only get to know they are from here only when they are brought here for internment |
Shellsploit:I so much doubt this, because Benue supplies Anambra and it's not that cheap here too |
DaddyRochie1642:This is just the fact and the guy seems to be hundred percent taken over by her manipulations.I fear them girls |
Nonybb:All of us are Fulani slaves except the Igbos,a people who will never be giving the opportunity to rule Nigeria because of your obvious tribalism and wickedness |
Nonybb:You sound every bit an IPOB apologist to me.Your unreasonable tribalism will never allow you see the second Niger bridge which the current government is constructing and which your darling GEJ never attempted to do in all it's years in government. That bridge alone can swallow all those bungalows in Ghana you are celebrating here.l for one don't support Bubu having come from Benue state butl hate wickedness |
Vinnie2000:I also have a close friend in this same category, acting probably like OP and this your friend you talking about and it's been ten years of an endless search for wife. The keyword there is DESPERATION |
