Luckyluciano77, congratulations my brotha. Domex77, go forth and bring the visa home. God is with you and the others going for their interviews. |
Sponge3: Got to Texas yesterday....thank God for journey mercyNice one bro! Did you fly direct or go through the NY route? Can you post your POE experience? |
justwise: https://www.nairaland.com/olumide098/posts/1Thanks bro! |
Justwise & Olumide85, I would like you guys to put me through on modality for getting a UK visa for someone who already has a USA visiting visa. She has been to the USA once last month, and would like to get a UK transit visa to spend 1 or 2 weeks on her second visit soon. You can direct me to the earlier page on this thread where Justwise explained it in details to Olumide or try and explain to me. Thanks! Calmdown, shoot me an email if you are still going by Qatar on August 9th, so that we can roll together. |
Peeps, is that yellow card stuff important? Lovedecay, Genxris and Steve4ever, congratulations! Graviton & Amefrica, how preparations now? Calmdown, where you @ bro? Remember we are traveling together for next two weeks ooo... |
Domex007 & Aekmanweb, you shall get your visas insha Allah... God shall do it and make you guys happy. Slimmy, I pinged you and it did not deliver. I am praying for you man. |
juntod: GreatExactly! And 2 wrongs don't make a right. |
Slimmy, I would be lying if I said I was not taken aback by the outcome of your interview but please don't be despondent. We have been down this road before many times on this thread. You shall have a reason to celebrate in the end. I will be praying for you, and I mean that from the depth of my mind. Let me know when you leave the office today so we can probably see- I go dey Zanga (Mushin) All day. Fadex56, pls do the needful and I pray you get your visa too. Teddyrain and Idazbawz, we sometimes disagree to agree in life; squash the beef like mature minds and let's keep the movement rolling. Generally, we all stand to gain considerably more from co-operation as against nursing animosity. They are far from perfect, but we all can learn a thing or two from the exemplary dispositions of: Imperiouxx, Ojap and Walspring. |
Goldenchic, congratulations sis! Welcome on board. Please, we are waiting for your transcript. And that goes for Amerinancy and Mjseun. I declare that others going for their interview this month shall come back with positive transcripts and good news by the grace of God. Can I get an amen? |
Amerinancy of life and Mjseun, congratulations my people. Welcome to the fold... Ridimic, go to WES's website to register, go to your school to have them send your transcript to the school. Better still, you can collect the transcript and address it as though it is emanating from your school, and send it using USPS registered mail(7 working days) or courier (2-3) days. WES would contact your school after receiving your package for verification. The onus is on you to ensure your school contact WES back by confirming you attended the school and the transcript emanates from them. Some schools use mail, while others use email method for verification. After this, WES would convert your transcript and do the appropriate thing. I hope this helps... |
Amefrica, finally, victory... I am so elated for you. You are truly a modern day Abraham Lincoln. Apparently, giving up is not in your DNA. I will never forget your determination, focus and strength of character. Congratulations... Teampoliticalscience |
House, is the yellow card compulsory for those leaving for the U.S.? |
godG: Pardon me, I don't like the word in bold. Maybe my training is making me read a different (unintended) meaning to it.Bros, my interpretation of Unamdi79's submission is that I could easily get better ones without having to pay over the top, just like a friend already suggested too. decreamaster: Abi nah!Nah, na guguru and tanfiri... ![]() |
decreamaster: Undiluted african boyNa so my broda! What shall it profit a man to form? |
unnamdi79: why not forget about body cream, cologne ,there are better ones there with good fragrance and the shaving clipper, our socket is not same with theirs though not err'where but my opinion I'll tell you to forget about them, there are far better ones over thereAlright sir! zeezahbee: Palm oil is not allow, inshort liquids are not allowed. You can get palm oil at african stores, tho expensive. There enoff rice in US, inshort different types. You can bring your body cream, tho I just got mine here. Yes dried pepper(atagungun) is allowed. You can come with your clipper. Roll on is allowed but cologne is not. Beans and garri is also allowedThanks ma'am! I am particularly happy about the ata gungun ![]() |
House, especially those already in the USA, I would like to know which of the below items are not allowed at the POE, and those I can easily buy in the USA instead of going with them: Rice Beans Garri Groundnut Palm-oil Body cream/lotion Cologne & Roll-on Dried pepper (I like pepperish food die) Shaving clipper |
Amerinancy, I am no commando. I am just a regular guy... |
Amerinancy: Have you ever entered in a deep freezer before? If "NO" go and try it today because you will be putiing on 5 jacketsNow you are scaring me... |
Amerinancy, I do know Illinois is cold, and I am coming prepared... ![]() Zeezhabee, I logged in to my profile on Qatarairways.com, and I can do everything but choosing a seat. Is it possible a seat has already been allocated by the airline? On an unrelated to, the guy asked you is the current principal of Bethel College. I asked him and he said he joined in 2009. I did my jamb class in the school in 1999. |
Amerinancy, I am heading to WIU. Zeezhabee, I booked Qatar Airways online and I later bought the ticket over the counter at their airport office. All I got was the: Electronic Ticket Itinerary Receipt. Now, at what point will one be able to print the boarding pass online? Also, kindly explain the part about checking-in online before departing for the airport. |
Peeps, I would like to know if stopping in NY for 2-3 days is not a problem at POE as my final destination is Illinois. My school resumes August 18th, and I leave Nigeria on August 9th. Zeezhabee, Bethel for Layi-Oyekanmi? What year? You must know Mr Tomide Ajifowowe then... |
slimmy05: Still doesn't holds water? And why exempt women from combat? She has rights to her opinion. She is African and her ideas and beliefs counts. Its called freedom.Exactly! That is hypocritical and a double standard... Men are made to face the line on fire during wars, while women are protected. Yet, they try to foist this bull crap about gender equality on us. Slimmy's submission just got me thinking, so don't take me to be a male chauvinist... I simply like to challenge the status quo, not with a view to disparage but to learn and illuminate. |
Amefrica, I agree that Joenice should take it easy, but what Zeezhabee said was totally uncalled for, unwarranted and unjustified. Please, let's all learn from this and move on... ![]() |
zeezahbee: hummm, omo mushin lol. I spent 17yrs in mushin tho stayed at palm avenue lol. Zeezahbee, where precisely for Palm-Avenue? Close to Chicken George? Did you attend Suzan Martins/ Ikeja Comprehensive? |
Slimmy I still pass that side around 11:00 am today. After Ramadan, I go wash my visa for you, and you sef go wash your own for me for one coded place for Mushin... Are you game? ![]() |
Sponge3, where do you stay in Mushin? I be proper Mushin boy too. I only moved to Surulere 4 years ago. In fact, I am walking down Alafia Street as I am typing this.... Here is wishing those planning on going for their interview God's unmerited favour.... |
Streetmic, Dimmy08 and sponge3, Welcome to the fold. Walspring, I am waiting for yours... |
Ashigolo: yea bro, I'll be picking up my passport with visa tomorrow at DHL isolo. Thanks alotI am picking the passport with visa up at DHL Isolo tomorrow. Thanks for allaying our fear earlier in the day... |
Graviton2: You have a place to chill in NY?Absolutely! |
Juntod, thanks for the Toefl center, and your comment on those looking to be spoon-fed. Graviton, orientation starts on 18th, but I want to spend a few days in NY first. Calmdown, that is my flight as well!! How do we hook up now? BBM or whatsapp? |
Graviton, the date of flight is August 9th. Please somebody tell me where they are currently writing Toefl in Lagos. Honeyad, I choose Isolo on my online form, but the VO did not circle anything on my paper, and I got an email not long ago asking me to come pick my passport at Isolo. Generally, the place you fill determines where you pick your passport unless you wanna change the location. Why not follow Graviton's advise? |
slimmy05: good for you. How much is the flight fare.$1061 with stop-overs in Doha and Manchester. Does anyone know where they are currently writing the Toefl in Lagos? |
