House, I just got bailed out of a seizure... I got an email saying my passport is ready for collection at DHL office in Isolo. Luckily for me, I just bought my ticket like 30 mins ago.

Also, which centers is Toefl currently using for the exams in Lagos?

slimmy05: Her result is also good. She should apply but might not get funding due to her low sat score. Contact zeezahbee I think she has more idea in nursing field. I could recommend some schools that gives funding though

Please, send the schools that give funding bro. Either on here or to sordicafis at yahoo dot com.

Zeezahbee, you are going to Troy right? Did you get funding?

aekmanweb: Visa was denied ds morning at Lagos Embassy, dnt knw what"s wrong....this is my 3rd time, 1st this year.......

Bros, I know this must be tough for you, but giving up shouldn't be an option. Be strong and trust in the Lord. If possible, can you post the transcripts of the 3 denials one after the other, so that gurus can surgically dissect them? Some of the gurus here did not get it the first time too. God is in control bro!

Honeyad-honeymoon, congratulations on your visa approval!

House, a friend scored 440 in the verbal section of SAT, only to later realize her school requires 450. Although she scored 115 in Toefl. She's applying to schools in Kentucky and Indiana. Is there a chance of getting admitted?

unnamdi79: @feexo why not try this link www.ustraveldocs.com/ng and tract your passport

Bro, I just did that and look what I got:

Passport Status :
There is no status update available for the passport number submitted.

Perhaps, the package is only trackable after getting picked up at the embassy. I hope to hear from them by the end of the day sha... This tenterhooks they put me on is quite annoying.

Ashigolo, I suggest you track yours too and let's see how it goes...

Our thread was wiped clean, it is practically non-existent at this time. We will have to start over from scratch.
All is well. I am not discouraged.

I adore the fact that you remain undaunted by the setback. I like determined and stronge-willed people. Let's do it again man! Between, was it a deliberate attack?

Amefrica, for an inexplicable reason, I missed your allusion to our discontinued thread. Could you please send me the link to that thread so that I can have it saved somewhere and endure that I post on there from time to time... The fact is, we stand to learn a thing or two therein...

I remember I was so jittery on here during that period that Bimbola, Slimmy and Amefrica threatened to flog me. Even Imperiouxx called me a "woman". cheesy
If you have done all the research on the flight and it is in sync with your arrangements, then I see no reason why you shouldn't carry on.

I guess jittery is an understatement for me... grin... Concerning the flight, I am proceeding...

I'm talking about the Lagos Embassy. Someone who got approved same day was told to pick up this coming tuesday..Likewise every other person (Most people misinterpreted it for "Pick up in two days"wink.. ... A guy was exempted though, his case was emergency and he was told to pick up this past friday.

Thank you so much for the clarifications. I guess I was too excited to pick out the exact thing the Oyinbo guy said...

Gravitonv20:
Ashigolo, I understand exactly how you feel. I faced the same anxiety while I was waiting for mine, a lot of thoughts were going through my head.
Your pickup notification should arrive Monday evening or Tuesday morning. It depends on office responsible for the pickup of international passports from the embassy. I got interviewed on a Thursday and I got my email 4 days after on a Monday, 6:40pm, I picked it up on Tuesday, the next day(I will never forget that day).

I can begin to start telling you the kind of crazy thoughts going thru my brain... I am glad McKenzie came to the rescue. I got a ticket for $1061 that is on hold till 3pm tomorrow. I guess it is safe to purchase it then...

McKinzie, bros how did you know that visas approved on Wednesday, 2nd July, are to be picked up on Tuesday, 8th of July? The standard procedure of 3 working days right? But Unnamdi79 got an email on Thursday- a day after interview- and another one today. Perhaps, the crowd in Lagos is much compared to that of Abuja. Please shed more light if you have more info...

[quote author=youngbilly1]hello @all. please I wanna ask a question. is it
true that the American embassy denies Nigerian

Wrong! Nothing can be farther from the truth. As long as you have a genuine reason for going, you have nothing to fear.

[quote author=benlaprof]greetings to you all. please i am new here and wish to know with details how one can begin his journey to studying in the US. i wish someone would be kind enough to give me a detailed information on how to begin and all.

I think we both got in the same year, matric no 2003? I knew Saburi before he became SUG president, Tunde Esho too. Stayed in Awo throughout.

I was always sleeping in Esho's room all the time 2006 thru 2007 whenever it was too late to go back to town. In fact, Sabur and I were together the whole of last 2 weeks before he traveled some days ago.

When are you moving? And to which school?

Slimmy, Stevecrun, and Domex007, I know I am going to read your successful visa transcript soonest. grin grin grin

Busola, how did the VO know I was denied a UK visa? He had my passport, and he was skimming through it the whole time. I saw him when he looked at the UK refusal stamp but I maintained my composure and prayed to God. Also, he looked at the page where I had stamps of: Benin, Togo and Ghana from my visit 2 years ago for like 5 seconds. In fact, he came back to that page again for like 5 seconds before issuing my visa. The thing is, have no fear, write at least a test, avoid a community college if you can, pray and fast, do your homework and go with 100% original documents.
