deedee44: Whatever loss you may suffer driving on bolt in a year can't be up to what you'll lose to uber in the name of extra 5% commission You still count profit compare to driving on Bolt in a long run. Let's do a rough tilter Assume you drive 8hrs daily, 6days weekly with a difference of N1 on Uber. 8*1*60min= N480 6*480= N2,880 A month= N11,520 1yr= N138,240 dy/dx of 5%= N69,120 Correct me if I'm wrong. |

northbird: I present facts to you. No emotions here.
If you spend an hour on Uber, you just made extra ₦45. So is that wat you call better, or d ₦300 you take from naive riders? .......
Regardless of whatever platform you choose, it's all about d cheese.
"knytred" discovered something that he didn't know if Uber had not axed him.
In other words, you don't develop an asset and allow your competitor take over the asset cos of some programming codes of a machine. That's not a smart business move if you'd ask me.
Bolt on d other hand use the "carrot and stick approach"
I also experienced what knytred passed thru fir a week.
Imagine, just 500 accts like that, that's a potential revenue loss of ₦5,000,000-10,000,000/ weekly for them. Or minimum 50,000 dollars monthly. Mr I know it all, Mr facts and figures. Have you also tried to calculate those figures in a week to a month and in a year to see how much you stand to loose driving at N10/min in every 11/15hrs drive daily? Also take time to calculate that N300 compensation after covering some km to pickup and bolt riders cancelling without you getting compensated. Assume 10 weekly in a year then see how muxh you're losing as a driver. Smart business driver, I great you. You're doing well.

Babadee1900: I beg to disagree with you. You get paid for every distance covered on Bolt. Even after arriving at your riders destination, should rider have you go further than the preset destination it will count and your money will not short a cent.
I said what I said. I agree with you but how about those trip that end half way and then the fare is like the trip was completed? What happened there? |

chibjohn: What if the steering wheel of a 2002/2003 is changed to one with controls? The only sure way to know the model year of any car is via the VIN. The tenth digit of the 17 digits VIN is the model year. Read more about it. Body features or whatever can be changed but the VIN which is always engraved on the car chassis is the surest way to know the model year. Another best way to billionaire market but only a few can know this. Modify: that's what uber/bolt inspection centres actually look at to categorise cars. You can't beat their system on that. |

northbird: Says who?
What's #300. peanuts..
#10/min and #11/min , what's the difference.
In an hour, you hv just made 45 naira extra.
Don't deceive yourself about who has more riders.
The acid test is "per trip how far do you drive to pick up the next Order," that determines who has more riders. Every aboki with his kettle. If the heat is too much for you in the kitchen, leave! Only a few will understand what that N300 peanut you call it does to the system. In the bull's eyes it curbs some bad elements. Reason behind more matured, reasonable and cooperate riders on the uber platform. The Taxify fares in most cases are fix, you like as a driver get stuck in traffic or take a wrong route the fare remains the same, reason, you don't dare do extra distance after arriving at destination, on thw other hands? Uber will add the difference both in time and distance. |

Cancellation fee, and their N11/min Haven't you realised that Uber is gradually having more riders since Moove came onboard? Let's stop the hating. Cheddaz: A 2002 Crv will pass for a 2003 to 2004 model, the only little difference in 2005 and 2006 model is the head light, grill and rear lights. The same way with Toyota. When i wanted to buy a Camry 2005 model. The dealer showed me one very clean one. But it was actually a 2003 with the head light and rear light changed to 2005/2006. I had actually wanted to buy a 2005 honda accord at first so i didn't do any research on a Camry. I don prepare to make transfer sef, when somebody in the car park, maybe na God touch him heart, he told me it's actually a 2003/04. I can't remember if I tried checking for the model year on the car or it wasn't even there.Na so i take change mind, told the dealer I'll come back later that I'm still expecting some money. After doing a research on Camry, found out 2005/06 has audio buttons on the steering wheel, chrome on the gear handle and three headrests at the back seat.the driver seat is also fully automated. 2002/04 do not have these features especially LE. For the Same price of the former, i got a 05/06 Camry leather seats, alloy wheels, sun roof, almost original tints done in yankee, spoilers on the booth even extra brake lights bulbs left by the previous owner in yankee. Dealers and their tricks... I have always know this for a long time, 05/06 Camry comes with stereo control on the steering wheel. This is one easy way to differentiate it from 02/04 physically. I still find it difficult differentiating using the lights. |

jahmarsh: Yes but i still need car to drive Dont worry you'll get one just keep posting and also search outside the box. Don't wait too long for any pending offer. A bird at hand is worth while.... Don't be tempted to quote or comment on post while you're still in search... Always try to be the first to contact a partner that makes a post In search for a driver, even if you're out of their jurisdiction make them understand distance is a thing of the mind, what matters the most is faithfulness. Make a thread stating what you want. Take a walk to some car dealers, some if not most of them do HP/rental for uber. If you have a uber account approach Moove at Maryland. You should be given a car within 2 week latest. In all, pray to God for the best. Its not easy my brother I know how it feels because I've been there several...but las las I came out stronger and better. Good luck!

All my trips this morning na the same. Now I have to ask rider if he or she is ready before coming. Your experience even good. coker007: Hey guys, i just wanna tell y'all not to be greedy.
There are a lot of messed up people out there looking to dupe or even hurt e-hailing drivers and they always easily get away with it.
A lot of drivers and partners are motivated with greed to earn or make more profits off some strangers' despair not knowing they have you where they want you to be, and they'll take advantage of you and your greed so bad you wouldn't even have the courage to speak up.
Simply reading past experiences and imagining yourself in those scenarios isn't enough you'd have to live it to feel the pressure on you.
All I'm saying is this, when an offer sound's too good to be true......you should walk away when you still have your wit's about you. Remember: no one can cheat an honest man.
Stay safe. Your head is there... I bet only a few will grab what you're trying to say... But las las every night will one day count for all hustlers. |

jpworld: They're not serious.
There might be more to the story. Reason I don't like contributing to issues like this especially when we haven't heard from the 2nd party. Something similar happened some weeks back. Was at Uber Office, Marryland when a young guy walked up to me seeking for a car to drive on uber that he's been driving f9r almost 4 yrs. What happened to the car you where using before now I asked. "It HP 2010 corolla I collected it about 2yrs ago and have paid 1.9m out of 2.5m. Sometimes I pay owner even 50k weekly just to own the car quickly, I've all of my payment receipts, never missed a week without paying. Changed engine once. Owner just came out from thw blue and said he's not doing again. After all pleading wasn't bearing fruit he then went to the police station. Till then I meet him car was still in the station". Thats according to him. Guy collected my contact because I offered to assist him get a good lawyer... When I got home and was discussing with wifi, I later got to noticed that guy must have cooked up that lie... Till now I haven't received any call from him. Its good to hear from both parties b4 one can comment on issues like this. |

[quote author=jpworld post=94515631]Sometimes, i wonder if u really go school, abi u be uneducated like us, just they form master degree holder. There is no criminal matter here, there is a contract, that was breach Somebody bribing the police to do illegal job or getting involve in business matter, will put the driver in more trouble, if it backfires, police will claim you mislead them. and mind u, if u go to police they will deceive the driver into writing false statement to enable them turn the matter to criminal matter, if owner fight back goes to higher police authority, that same police officer, will turn around and charge driver for false statement, to exonerate himself.[/quite] I can see how much you fear arrest. Sir with all due respect let me educate you from my illiterate mind. The primary duty of police is to create peace and settlement between two disgrounted fellows. And you can't approach a court of law without a police file been involve. First there must be arrest and then a separate document for court if the police can't resolve the problem between two disgrounted people. Why would any right thinking person allow a police officer to make them write a false statement ? Or did you miss the part where I stated "put everything that happened in a statement"? Oga, take or leave the beat and only way to settle this matter os via the police and then court. Even a lawyer needs to go through the due process and even your lawyer can settle it but a magistrate, your lawyer is only there to give you legal counsel and defend you in court base on evidence available. Let the guy present the agreement papers lets see if he actually bridge the contract. Look provided the driver hasn't failes to remit before the accident any magistrate will rule to driver's favor because don't expect a dead man to pay his death from grave unless there's a clause that states his son or daughter will serve should death calls. You can disagree its fine. |

jaymejate: Firstly, I'm against the "it shall not be well..." blah blah blah talks but i must say, from the initial, the source of this, if you read it well, Felicity0001 actually addressed the rider very well.
He was angry but He didn't show it, he even sent a message to the rider advising him to check the rules and regulation and also welcoming the rider to Uber
He did nothing bad and i see no reason for you to say "fara buruku bale", he didn't show anger. At least from his post.
At least he no push the rider into the car by force and go drop am for Third Mainland Bridge. Bro Felicity, i no enter you o.
He did quite well to be honest. Dont mind the guy... Anyways I've restrive my words... It shall be well with him and his household. jaymejate: God! This is sad.
With the accident, and not remitting any thing per week as stated in the contract or agreement (which is a must), your friend have defaulted the agreement and the agreement shall be determined and vehicle recovered EXCEPT it was stated in the agreement that "in the case of severe accident, the hirer can be graced to stop paying till the vehicle is repaired and fully restored" or something related to that clause sha, but i doubt it would be there.
Now it will take God and a good owner to pardon the hirer due to the "accident". But this owner in question is not. You have to plead with the owner or raise anything up to 600k. The owner might reconsider.
God will help you False!!! Let driver report the case to the police stating everything that happened, police will arrest the owner and take the car to station, owner will bail himself then let the complainant ask the IPO to charge the case to court i.e if the DPO is unable to settle the matter amicably. Im very certain court will rule in favor of thw driver provided he hasn't bridge the contract. There're laws guilding HP in court. |
