The original post did not mention anything about Delta been Biafra. Besides, nobody said Delta State is entirely Igbo. The Itsekiris will even do more with an Igbo man than to move an inch for an Urhobo man so cool it off.

I do bear my English name anywhere I go, I got a job and was transferred from Warri to Lagos and for months I was almost homeless. Every Yoruba landlord I come across will either want me to be able to speak Yoruba or they will give me one stupid excuse to another, I was loosing money, I was tearing out until I met an agent who ask my details and soon as he discovered I bear a name that is Igbo he swore to help, he did help to my greatest surprise.

Other people are paying over 220k for similar apartment while I was paying 120k for a two bedroom mini flat. The story may not be necessary but I only want you to see that our ability to focus on our similarities rather than differences will go a long way helping.

I am a born Wafarian and a typical proud one at that. Though from Delta North I still believe and know very well that my state is laced with a lot of Igbo cultures.

We may not be Igbos by tribe.
We may not be Igbos by divisions.
We may have every reason not to be Igbos but one truth is very certain the Igbo culture and way of life is more closer to me than the people from the North and West.

The hard truth even though as a typical Deltan I will not accept it is the fact that Igbos are the primary movers of most states in Nigeria with Delta State inclusive.

Personally I can't imagine Nigeria without the Igbos. There is an extent you will go in this country as a Deltan and the only tribe or people that will come to your rescue are the Igbos.

May God continue to empower them, enrich them and lead them forth.

If an Igbo call you his brother don't joke with it.

Much as I will not accept been an Igbo man it is necessary to state clearly that if you define and understand properly what the word Igbo is you will see that Igbo holds almost 40% stake in Delta State.
