It will still come. Keep your mind at rest. Were you rescheduled for an appointment the way most of us who submitted passport on the 15th March at DHL Isolo were? That date wasn't our originally scheduled date.The embassy itself brought our dropbix appointment to an earlier date( the March 15th). I met a member of my church on Sunday who also told me his visa application was approved last week. We both submitted same date. Incidentally, we met and submitted our passports at the DHL Isolo same day.

I don't know what's going on too. My spouse and I submitted on the 20th of Feb 2023, I got back my passport on the 8th of March while my wife's just recently changed to "Recieved" on the 23rd of March 2023 and everyday, the case last updated status date changes with no change in visa status. what could be the problem? Is it cos we had both our kids in the US in 2015 and 2018?

Is approved the same thing as issued? I submitted mine since 17th of march and the status still says "APPLICATION RECEIVED"

How were you able to check the status. I've been trying to log in since yesterday but I keep getting the message that their servers are down.

I dropped my application about 21 days ago too and it's still saying "Application Received".

using the tracker site, its still on application received.

When i checked the usatravel site this morning. I notice that the section that says my passport is currently with the embassy is no more there...

just document delivery information... Nothing clickable.

With this new update, my visa expiration now falls within 48 months. Considering I’ve gotten refusals in those interviews, do I still qualify for Dropbox? Thanks in advance

Just picked up my own visa. Got 5 years as well( hubby got 5 years earlier this month). So now waiting for dates to take my children for fingerprinting. I beg let them release dates o. Been checking since 1st of March.

I know the exact feeling! I’ve never had to engage any agent before, but just like you, I had to use one because of the date wahala. When he was eventually done and I had paid him and dropped my passports, I asked for the password. You will not believe that this guy was arguing with me and asking me wat I needed the password for. My own application oh. I changed it for him immediately and he sent it to me

Good advice there. DIY. Most of the visa applicants are even far more knowledgeable than those agents they engage, but they dont know . I can't imagine engaging an agent to fill out my form or arrange my application for me. USA visa is one of the easiest in the world with less documentation, unlike schengen,provided you follow due process honestly. Since I've been traveling in 2004 to US and same country's being my first Visa ever on a Virgin passport, I've never been asked of my bank details , employment letter, even though I always had them handy, only my invitation with passport and subsequently, drop box with DS160 and passport only.DIY and wait for any appointment scheduled or available to you...it will surely come. These people you're seeking an entry clearance to visit their country take their time, they're never in a hurry so, why should you be...or be desperate, as an applicant?

In as much as they can waive some little mistakes, they don't joke with them as well and that's why they've always advised you on their website, DIY and refrain from engaging agents. No matter how busy I could be, I must fill out my form by myself and at times, it takes me 2-3 weeks cos i always take my time to avoid issues. I'd fill and save, to continue another day

I'm always not comfortable hearing that some people engaged an agent or their agents made mistakes on their DS160 cos of the experience of someone close to me. He was banned for life cos of some conflicting information an agent inputed on his DS160. It took him 13 years to have his passport stamped with another B1/B2 visa after the removal of his permanent ban by the US AJ. On the day of his interview, the VO spent close to 20 minutes with him, asking questions and listening to his story. He now applied for a waiver of the ban on his behalf, telling him the US home office would contact him with the waiver application made on his behalf and could be either positive or negative. It's a rare favour cos he had lost hope already. He's been to other countries since the ban took effect, except USA. He got a.mail one day by the lagos NIV that the waiver had been approved. It was like a dream. We all rejoiced with him

Always check your mail too, in case you need to provide more information. I was away for over a week with a limited access to my mail sometime ago. I almost missed that chance cos the information I was asked to provide which I received via email was to be submitted within 24 hours. I checked my mail barely 24 hours to the deadline given. I had to rush to the nearest DHL the following day to do that. Always check your mail OK?

You may check status once at every close of business daily for updates. I hope you get 5 years because they've started issuing it already. Good luck.

As long as u never overstayed on your last visa, u have nothing to worry about. And even if u did, as long as u can explain why, u are fine. Track it online to know the status

I know people who secured dates and completed the DS160 form later without issues and I know people who struggled with it.

Yes you can reschedule but I think you can only change dates twice - @all please confirm this.

When u go to where u are to pick a date, it will ask u a series of questions to determine if u are qualified for Dropbox. If u are not then it will direct u to pick a date for the normal interview. So either u get the Dropbox or the normal interview date.
