truxperteam: Following the London Gatwick incident where passengers including elderly people were stranded for hours after a bird strike, many Nigerians are speaking out about Air Peace. I want to hear from Nairaland — what has your experience been with Air Peace?
Have you experienced delays without communication? Was your luggage ever lost or delayed? How was the customer service when things went wrong? Or did you have a great experience worth sharing?
Drop your experience below. Good or bad, your story matters and can help other Nigerians make better travel decisions. They are doing well |

h777: “What I Saw At My Friend’s Wedding Shocked Me”
Yesterday was supposed to be a happy day.
My friend finally got married after almost seven years with his girlfriend. Everybody came out fresh, smiling, dancing, spraying money, taking pictures, acting like love still conquers everything.
But something happened during the reception that honestly disturbed me.
While the bride and groom were dancing, I noticed an older woman sitting quietly at the back. She wasn’t eating, smiling, or talking to anybody. Just watching them.
At first, I ignored her.
Then one of the groom’s friends leaned close to me and said quietly, “That woman almost became his wife.”
I thought he was joking.
Apparently, they dated for years. Everybody expected marriage. According to him, she stood with this guy when he had nothing. Paid bills sometimes. Helped him survive difficult years.
Then suddenly he met this new lady abroad through a relative, and everything changed fast.
What shocked me wasn’t even the story.
It was the woman’s face.
No anger. No drama. No tears.
Just silence.
At one point, the groom accidentally looked toward her side, and for about three seconds his smile disappeared completely.
Three seconds.
Then he smiled again and continued dancing like nothing happened.
That moment has been sitting in my mind since yesterday.
Life is strange honestly.
Sometimes the person who helps build the house is not the one who lives inside it.
And sometimes, what people celebrate publicly has a story nobody wants to mention quietly.
I still don’t know exactly what lesson to take from what I saw.
But one thing became clear to me:
Not every smiling couple in wedding pictures arrived there with clean footprints behind them.

Sports › Re: Which League Has The Higher Overall Quality — The Saudi League Or The MLS? by femi4: 6:20pm On May 13 |
obembet: Side A: Saudi Pro League
The Saudi league boasts world-class stars like the greatest footballer of all time Cristiano Ronaldo, also like of Karim Benzema, and Neymar Jr.
Higher individual talent raises match quality and global appeal. Massive financial investment improves facilities, coaching, and competition. Rapid growth means the league could soon rival top European leagues.
Side B: MLS
Of course MLS emphasizes structure, teamwork, and long-term development. Teams are more balanced, making matches competitive and unpredictable.
Presence of stars like Lionel Messi adds quality without disrupting league balance. Strong youth systems and consistent management improve overall league depth.
Source: Obembe Tosin Saudi of course MLS doesnt generate followers across the globe...that soccer mentality is affecting the league |

richmond500: According to world standard, you must have at least 6months of personal expenses saved as emergency fund. So how much do you have?
7. ₦420,000-500,000 6. ₦500,001-₦700,000 5. ₦700,001-₦1,000,000 4. ₦1,000,001-1,500,000 3. ₦1,500,001-₦2,000,000 2. ₦2,000,001-₦3,000,000 1. ₦3,000,001 above
I started with 420k cos that is minimum wage multiplied by 6 and everyone who is serious with his life should have that. #licks tongue #wink former min wage 30k x 6 = 180k |
Fashion › Re: One Woman’s Gift, Another Woman’s Rag by femi4: 6:11pm On May 13 |
sync: I have been keeping my old clothes for a while now. These clothes are all in perfect condition. They were clothes I got abroad while I was a student and some I acquired as a working class.
So some time ago I decided to select a few of them to give to my hairstylist. I called her a day before then and I asked her if she was interested, she sounded kind of cold and said yes. I took them to her the following morning on my way to work. She received it and only said “thank you”. I expected her to at-least message me later after probably going through it (cos some of them were actually brand new with the tags still attached) and showing appreciation, but she never did. Recently, I wanted to revamp my wigs and decided to take them to her. She wasn’t around at the shop when I got there so I had to wait. To my shock and dismay, I saw she was using one of my treasured dresses as her rag in the shop!! This was a dress that was in perfect condition when I gave it out to her, it was as good as new. That Dress Meant More to Me Than to Her and it dawned on me that value is truly personal
So my wig is due for collection soon. Should I confront her about it or just let it slide. Kindly advise You are not a cheerful giver When you give, you give wholeheartedly without holding back You have no authority over anything that's no longer your possession I once gave out a problematic car to assist a guy. He changed the engine and tried to get my permission before selling it. I told him, “You are now in charge of the car; you don’t need my permission...whatever rocks your boat |
