Man Steals Saleswoman’s Phone While Pretending to Bargain at Trade Fair Market

A man has been caught on CCTV stealing a saleswoman’s phone while pretending to shop at a store in Trade Fair Market, Lagos State.

In the footage, the man walks into the shop carrying a black nylon bag and approaches the table where the saleswoman is seated.

He reaches for an item from the shelf with one hand while, at the same time, dropping the black nylon over the phone lying on the table.

He then brings another pack of the item to the table and continues engaging the woman in what appears to be a discussion over the price.

As the woman picks up a calculator and begins making calculations, the man leans across the table, appearing to look at what she is entering.

At the same time, he uses his other hand to quickly squeeze the nylon over the phone and picks up both the nylon and the phone.

He continues the conversation as though nothing has happened.

The man then brings down another pack from the shelf, making three packs on the table. He gestures to the woman, appearing to indicate that she should pack the items for him, before quickly walking out of the shop.

The CCTV footage has since attracted attention online, with viewers reacting to how calmly the man carried out the theft while maintaining the appearance of a regular customer.
