Sonnobax15: Good day my fellow Nairalanders......Hope y'all are having a nice day + flexing on the harmattan season that's already gotten it's aroma allover the place?
So, recently,I was added to my primary school WhatsApp group......It's been over 20 years since we left primary school and it was indeed a good time to have a flashback of the memories of how and who we used to be back then as kids, under the same roof of the same classroom as classmates....
The reason for the reunion came about as a result of the fact that one of our classmates was about getting married....It was indeed a fun-filled moment as we were already vibing and reminiscing on our past
Suddenly,I began to notice how some guys were showcasing and boasting about how they have made it in life.....Some were even posting pictures of their expensive cars and beautiful houses....I was really happy for them,at least for seeing those whom I grew up with making it to the top...It actually gave me joy as I hoped to make it like them someday too
But then again, what really killed my joy was when one of them started to call out the names of those who used to take from the first to third positions in class ...The annoying part was that he sent it via voice note and was like mocking us about not being successful yet like those of them who were considered as the dullards back then in school.....I felt really pissed off😡. The fun was brutally murdered instantly and I began to notice how many people started to exit the group one after the other 😔. I wasn't left out cuz I also made sure I dusted my shoes and left too before they would post the pictures of me riding my keke ...what was supposed to bring us together only ended up disintegrating us further and made us felt like we were losers . As a matter of fact, I've vowed never to be a member of any WhatsApp group from henceforth . Cuz it seems these guys are only out to add more pains to people's depression
Have anyone experienced this kind of scenario before?
WhatsApp group have clique
Some members are more equal than the other Some birthdays are heavily celebrated while some were slightly celebrated or they forget them
FerrariE: 😔😔😔😔 Yes, life is actually a mirage. A vapor. An optical illusion. This is why we must live a good life. Some people think they own the world simply because they have money, but not knowing that within a second, everything can disappear into thin air. God is the giver of life. Today is my birthday but here am I crying of hunger. I'm starving and pray that God touches someone to help me. I can't wish hunger for even my enemies. Hunger is bad.
Rest in peace Sir
It's better to own the world before death comes than do beggie beggie over social media n still dies
Bobloco: When Tinubu began unleashing what he consistently referred to as reforms, right from the swearing-in podium, a few days and months passed, and he realized that the reforms were causing pain, hunger, and starvation among the citizens. However, he continued to assure Nigerians that these were just 'baby steps' of pain, at one point calling it 'temporary pain' and promising that it would soon be over.
Eighteen months later, his policies have continued to inflict severe pain and untold hardships on the citizens. The suffering seems to be increasing daily: transportation costs keep rising, the prices of goods and services continue to climb, and disposable incomes keep decreasing. As we speak, the middle class has been completely wiped out in just eighteen months of the Tinubu government.
All of this begs the question: When will these "temporary pains" be over? We all know that the word "temporary" refers to something that lasts for only a short time.
pelusi: I traveled outside the country for 8 months now while my family is in Nigeria.
Now I will be returning to Nigeria next week. For this 7 months, I kept myself and did not mess around(slept) with any woman.
However, it's not that I don't trust my wife, but atimes I have an instincts that she may not hold herself like I did and may have fallen in hands of men.
Where I come from, it's an abomination for any married woman to sleep with another man because of the dare consequences it has on the husband of the adulterous woman.
Now I'm coming back soonest,I'm scared if she has slept with another man and I was suggesting before sleeping with her to sit her down and ask her to sincerely tell me if she has fallen in my absence,so that necessary things(cleansing) can be done before I sleep with her.
On the other hand, I'm reasoning whether asking her such will cause a misunderstanding in the marriage.
Please advise on the best way to go about this.
Rubbish...What abomination? What a superstitious belief. Tell me where you came from and we will give you list of women who cheated on their hubby n the husband is doing well
About asking your wife the question? Her answer won't prove anything anyway. Dem no dey write cheating wife for face
Apostle Arome Osayi stopped preaching and left the pulpit because phones rang in the church ! Is this pride or spiritual discipline? Did Jesus stop preaching despite the noise of the crowd? Would Arome have done same if he was in secular job ? Was he disrespectful to the congregation that came to church to listen to him?
Arome is a guy I respect and as a fellow comrade in the vineyard of Christ, I believe this was excessive and unfair to the congregation who came out to listen to you. I encourage you to take time to self reflect and publicly apologise to your church members ! This is very important because many younger pastors and Christians look up to you and see u as a father!
Peppysco: Spend more physical and quality time with your parents because when they're gone, Whatsapp calls won't bring back their memories. Lost my father in 2015 and my mum in 2017. But every time i see my mum's number on my phone, still feel like calling out of impulse to hear her voice. Na only God nor make me kill myself cos I became very suicidal. I seriously pray you understand what I'm tryna say.
You cannot always be around them all the time. The feeling will always be the same when they are gone whether you saw them recently or few yrs ago
Flakky26: These days because of the economic factors, JAPA syndrome and many other factors. Physically meeting with parents has become challenging. pls lets know when you saw your parents last and if its been long , what are your reasons?
Some do give their parents benefiting burial spending millions but they were no where to be found when their presence is needed most?
Won't our parents cherish the Physical Presence more than the millions spent for the burial?
