Family › Re: Did You Marry Your First Choice? by femi4: 8:54am On Jul 18
meobizy:
In all my decades on Earth, I’ve met only two people who married their first choice.

With men, the women either ran off due to perceived hardship after the engagement or situations made the likelihood of a future together impossible. The most common reason I keep hearing is her parents either canceled things or demanded too high of a dowry.

With women, the man impregnated someone else, got tired of waiting, or turned out to be already married, wasting her youthful years.

Did you marry your first choice?
Most first choices are learning curve

NYSC › Re: NYSC Corps Member Says PPA Rejected Her Because Of Her Body Size (Photos/Video) by femi4: 7:00am On Jul 17
Rebuker:
A female NYSC corps member has gone viral after claiming that her Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) rejected her because of her body size.

In a short video, the corps member does not speak. Instead, she shares her experience through a caption displayed on the screen while emotional background music plays throughout the clip.

In the caption, she describes the experience as heartbreaking, saying she never expected to face discrimination in a program designed to promote national unity. She added that her ability to serve and succeed should never be judged by her appearance.

The video has since sparked mixed reactions online. While many sympathized with her and called for an investigation into the alleged incident, others argued that body size alone may not have been the reason for the reported rejection, suggesting there could be more to the story. Some also encouraged her to focus on improving her health through regular exercise.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation explaining the alleged rejection.

Fashion › Re: What’s One Fashion Rule You Think Everyone Should Follow? by femi4: 6:24am On Jul 17
Frozenkoncept:
Fashion trends come and go, but some style habits never seem to go out of fashion.

In my opinion, these five make the biggest difference:

1. Wear clothes that fit properly.
Even expensive clothes look awkward if they don’t fit well.

2. Keep your shoes clean.
People often notice your footwear before the rest of your outfit.

3. Don’t chase every trend.
Wearing what suits your body and personality is usually better than following every viral style.

4. Stick to simple colour combinations.
Neutral colours are easier to match and often look more elegant.

5. Confidence matters.
The best outfit won’t look good if you don’t feel comfortable wearing it.

I’m curious to hear other opinions.

What’s the one fashion rule you live by that has never failed you?

Is it quality over quantity, matching colours, buying fewer but better clothes, or something else?
We don't want to see your pant line

Its inappropriate

Very similar story to Favour's case, but thank Goodness for ny stubborness I fought madly and badlly, I thought that guy a lesson he will never forget .....

Ladies, as far as we cant escape vulnerability, learn to be strong and tough, fight and even if you loose you know you at least tried and don't ever try to kill yourself for an animalistic rapist....he should rather die for you
Ladies should stop visiting random guys in their home too

Dmthreads:
Popular content creator Shank has stirred conversation online after posting a candid and rather uncomfortable opinion about the character of the average Nigerian, suggesting that the country's harsh conditions have deeply shaped how people treat one another.

In a post shared on X, he wrote, "An average Nigerian is not a good person. The environment don just wire everyone to 'survive.' Whichever way it takes or plays. It's sad, but that's the truth. An average Nigerian feels smart when they cheat the other person. "I use am for am" ahahah. Sad. God help us all. It's embedded in our subconscious. Everything be like war. The country don scar us. You don't have to hurt the next person to grow, or win."

What's your take on what Shank said?
