Fekonzy: Hello house, Please I have a pressing situation that I need help with.
Please bear with me as this is quite lengthy
I got a PhD admission in New Zealand beginning of this year, but I was not able to secure the scholarship. And I could not afford their tuition and living expenses on my small salary. I applied for another scholarship which I was told might not be available till next year
Also at the same time, I got an admission in South Africa which I can afford as the school will pay the tuition and but you will have to take care of the living expenses yourself.
Therefore, in a bit to progress and not waste more time at home as I had already spent two years working on this, I decided to go to South Africa to start my PhD. I got a 3 years visa for my studies and September I decided to leave. When i arrived, my supervisor advised me to wait till next year to register officially as the year is almost over. But I can continue my research unofficially. I agreed.
Early this month, I received a letter that my scholarship has been granted for my studies in New Zealand to start immediately. Which is great news.
My question is, will the 3 years study visa in my passport for south africa affect my chances of getting a study visa for New Zealand? I havent been officially registered as a student here so will they have reservations about the S.A study visa?
Ps. The scholarship is not from New Zealand. since you haven’t register officially as a student in SA, I don’t think that should be an issue.... but if u have concerns, u can explain and be upfront in your cover letter. |

Amalahajames: The sample was sent to me by an agent I contracted to help me secure a new Zealand visa.. Is this just a sample or your supposed visa? I’ve check this out and I doubt the authenticity. There are 3 major errors which I won’t want to disclose here as it will help them perfect their scam in future, and that will make it very difficult for us to differentiate between It being real or fake. But I will be glad to point them out to u privately. Best regards |

Xhale: Thanks. I have a valid licence and I've been driving for years. Do I also need the international D/L that's obtained @ Police headquarters, Alagbon Ikoyi? No u don’t need any international DL...... u can drive with d Naija DL for one year..... and it will also save u from going through ‘learners license’ stage when converting it to NZ DL. |

Try to go with a Naija driver license, it will make things easier for you. very good advise , learn driving if u don’t drive and make sure u come with a naija license. U can drive with that for a year or do a conversion once u understand the road a bit. See u in Aoteroa Shalom |

I will you all the best.
Contact Femi when you get to New Zealand. I know there can be stupid people on Social media who should be avoided, yet there are some others that are good people.
I met Femi here and we eventually connected in New Zealand. I can tell you, he's a nice guy.
He actually picked us up in Auckland and took us to places where we shopped in his car at his own cost.
I recommend him as a true friend and brother.
Are you going to Auckland or another city? Demooo u are the man ooo..... U will get a work even if u don't have any local hand work, but if u do, they will employ u and u must apply for a 3 months training upgrading course which will enable u to work. my tourist visa is based on invitation from my NZ partner and in the paperwork that she sent to support my application, she stated that my stay will be at her place and she will be my first hand tour guide. [/quote]Except you qualify for a tourist visa on your own right, her invitation does not give you any advantage. Your best bet is for her to visit u or u both meet somewhere for holiday. Then she can sponsor you. But for now, to the immigration, you’re are still 2 strangers. Your relationship may be genuine but not until you’ve met in person before she can sponsor u........ this may not be what u wanna hear but unfortunately, that’s how it works.
But u can only try..... Yes you have to send your pp if not it may not be processed. |

The statement of account is to show that I have more than enough money for my flight tickets back to Nigeria.
I submitted my application on Friday because my proposed visit dates (December/January) is fixed due to the holiday time of my partner.
Dear XXXXXXXX We have received your Visitor visa application. Your application number is XXXXXXXX. An Immigration officer will assess your application. Alitair: In life, everything happens for a reason but this one I am still looking for the reason.
So that's how I met this beauty in my Finals. She is one of this beautiful girls that don't actually know they are beautiful. Things moved a little fast and she dictated the rules if I wanted to taste the honey pot. Rules included Abstaining from some crude things I used to do of which I am proud I stopped. In fact the girl really changed my life...
To cut Long story short, I got what I wanted but got stuck, I have never been willing to change for anyone even my Mother and I changed for this girl.
OK. Issue now is the girl was always telling me "Love na scam, don't get emotional and stuff like that and she would prefer just being friends. I agreed with my church mind even though I know she already had a soft spot in my heart... Las las I dey see to chop na so I killed emotions except sexual emotions.
However for some time now, some kind things have changed, she confronts me over any girl I get too friendly with, steady checking up on me to make sure I am not with another girl, embarrassed me because I hugged a girl with very mad assets and even threatened to deal with the girl. It has escalated to the point where she can't let me stand alone with another female for just 5minutes whether its business or courtesy. If I ask her, all I get is that I should be content with what I have.
OK kwa. Now I was going through her phone last week and I saw my Brother's number, my sister's own and my mum's own was saved as mum in law. I don't know how I got entangled in this but I know I want to leave. The girl has told me many times that she will never let me go no matter how hard I try and believe me I have tried. Even stopped giving her attention and time but she is even more determined. She has gradually turned down all her serious male friends even her supposed Fiancé....
I'm feeling like I don't own myself anymore and its really depressing. I am yet to stand and someone is already clinging on me by fire by force.
The one that is blowing my mind now: she thinks we should pay for an apartment together so we can live together. I didn't reoly yet but that would be a modern version of living in bondage.
I am in need of advice on how to make this girl an Ex of a non existent relationship...
Matured minds only
Thank you Run for your dear life bro.....I see depression calling soon.....that's if u still alive.... Your life is more important than any thing call love. Marry a woman out of pity and the world will pity u |

ulak: @davodyguy and femijck I have all the relevant documents in place now and I was able to save up 2.1m from my six monthly salary income and will print that out first thing on Monday to submit my application. Just want to know if this amount is good enough to backup my application for a tourist visa? Thanks in advance for your response Nobody knows how much is enough when applying for a tourist visa but I believe there’s an amount required for your living expenses stated on the immigration website. However, the answer will depend on how much socio-economy ties to your homeland you have provided.....but if you’re not in a hurry, why not try build it up to around 3M+ or 4M+. Because if you’re applying for a 2 weeks or 3 weeks tourist visa, then it means you are directly or indirectly telling immigration that you are going to exhaust your account balance on that trip. |
