Religion / Re: Woman Speaks Up Against Pastor Adeboye by femijck(m): 12:31am On Feb 18
I've said this many times and will say it again. Religion is the greatest tragedy that happened to Africa as a whole. The west used to have all the bibles while Africans have all the golds. Now it's the opposite.

Until we realised the true position of religion, Africa will always be under develop.

The things we pray to God for in Nigeria are provided by the government in developed countries. Securities, jobs ,social support, healthcare are responsibilities of the government not God.

God gave us brain so we can give him rest. So it's left to us to either be brainwashed by corrupt pastors and leaders or face the reality and fight for our right.

Hi bro sorry to quote you but I need your assistance and clarification, my girlfriend though she is way older than me lives in southern NZ, she is willing to sponsor my trip but she also said that NZ IS are very difficult and granting Visa these days is hard. So she is suggesting that she either come and live in Nigeria or we settle in GH, but I don't like the idea.

Pls what's your advise, and what documents do I really need for Visitor invitation, to I need POF from my side even tho she will be the one to sponsor it?

Thanks in anticipation

If she's willing to visit you for a couple of weeks in Nigeria and you can proof your relationship is genuine, you will get the visa.
Travel / Re: Should I Stay and Complete My PhD Or Accept a 30 NZD Per Hour Job In New Zealand by femijck(m): 8:16am On Oct 18, 2023
An employer needs to pay a minimum of $29.66/hr for you to qualify for an essential work visa here in NZ which I believe might be your visa category. This visa category means you can only work for that employer and can't do any other job legally except under tables which I won't recommend . However because of the condition attached to this visa category , some employers do exploit their employees which is also illegal for them to do. Employees have rights here.

$30 is not a lot in NZ but it's a good start especially if the job offers a pathway to residency which in your case, I really doubt because of your $30 rate.

NZ is one of the most expensive country to live in. Your weekly take home would be around $950/week. A decent 2 bedroom will cost between $520 - $650/ wk In Auckland and maybe another $120/wk on food weekly. Sharing a flat with other strangers will cost you between 220-270/week. A single room studio can cost up to $400/week

So do the math and see if you can save enough on that rate to justify your decision.

However, you don't need Ph.D to succeed in a functioning country. Don't be surprise when you find out your manager or CEO don't even have a masters degree.

Consider your options carefully. If you can finish your Ph.D remotely or even put it on hold temporarily. With enough effort and orientation, you can change the visa category in a few years and you will be on your way to having one of the most respected Passport in this world.

My cent.

Also NZ $$$ is not Zimbabwe $$$
Today's rate is NZD 1 = NGN 617.

SHALOM!!

I am going to put this response here. Those of us that answer and respond to questions do it from the goodness of our hearts. We have full time jobs and lives. No one should hound me (Yankison this is directed at you) to respond to them. If you want immediate response, then please go hire an immigration lawyer!

To get any NZ visa, any visa at all, you must:

1. Create a RealMe account and upload all your details yourself as well as submit your visa application through there.

2. For all visas other than visitor - you must complete a full medical panel. A very invasive medical panel and only 3 or so hospitals are approved to do it. So you will have to contact the hospital, book an appointment, pay upfront. Then have your RealMe details, type of visa application details and passports which you hand over to the clinic staff as the result is uploaded directly to INZ.

3. There are different types of work visas and the exact type being applied for determines the visa costs. It would also be noted on your medical form. You need medicals for all work and student visas.

4. Complete a police background check and upload it to RealMe.

NO AGENT CAN GIVE YOU A VISA!!!! NOT EVEN A VISITOR VISA

For Visitor visas - you need a RealMe account, you need 6 months bank statements, you need to show strong, very strong ties to Nigeria and of course, you pay an application fee upfront.

Every information on NZ visas is detailed -in great detail on the INZ website. Do not allow anyone scam you. NZ has the most straightforward visa systems. It is very easy to navigate and understand.

Great job you're doing here Ticha. Your responses are so helpful to so many, more than you could imagine.

I remember this thread because couple of days ago, I met someone who recently arrived here in Akl, we got talking and I mentioned something about Nairaland and he's next question was are you "Femijck" that blew my mind. So incredible to know that something I wrote many years ago is still very informative to some today.

So keep up the good job @Ticha

I doubt though. The most they can be is +12 GMT. And Nigeria is +1 GMT. I think it's 11 hours difference

Between September and early April, we are 12 hours ahead of Naija because of Daylight saving. Which means we adjust the clock one hour forward so people can enjoy Daylight longer in the evening.

Then between April and August, we are 11 hours ahead of Naija as we usually adjust the clock 1hr hour backward so people can spend more time in door as it's Autum/winter in those months.

So technically we are only 12hours ahead.

It’s so painful to me. Qatar airlines didn’t board on Wednesday because I have a visitor visa and they said visitors aren’t welcome. I beg the woman at the Lagos airport but she refuse to carry me. My visa will expire March 6, I don’t even know of any extension.
I have a sticker visitor visa.
Sorry, that must have been a difficult experience for u......however, I'm sure we've mentioned it on several occasions on this thread that the border is only opened to Residence class visa category and citizens.

About the visa extension, there's currently no proper guidelines or clarifications about that. Traditionally if u don't arrive in NZ before your last date of entry written on ur visa, the Visa expires as it hasn't been activated. Same rule applies to any work, leisure or residence class category visa.

I will advise u put your travel plans on hold, contact INZ for more informations. We're living in an unprecedented time globally and no country can guarantee what their immigration policies would be in the next 6 months. So you have to keep yourself updated with any change in policies. Best of luck to u.

Cheers

If all he's asked for is a passport, I will advise u get the passport and follow his guidance just as @ugsam had advised....keep us updated with any other request or info from him.

I don't know how he planned to bring u in, but I wouldn't say it's impossible. People challenge the system all the time but it's not advisable.

I believe he's got a plan...you've got nothing to loose by getting a passport and giving it a shot.

No one traveled anywhere bro. The agents say that just to convince unsuspecting ones and scam them off their money. The truth is that New Zealand is a small country and Nigerians are minority. We hear of almost any new Nigerian in our cities. It's either we know them or someone we know, knows someone that knows them. I can bet that if it's so, one of us on the thread might have learnt of a Nigerian who arrived their city with such visas or one of such persons would have come here seeking for information on how to settle in and all that. Let's not even talk about the restrictions on arriving New Zealand in this pandemic.

You've said it all.

Are u sure it is transit visa ?

Yes ...except u hold a visa waiver passport or Aussie PR.....its only for transit through Auckland airport

With NZ eta, you can:

Travel to New Zealand without first applying for a visa

— if you are travelling on a passport from a visa waiver country, a cruise ship passenger or a permanent resident of Australia.

--Pass through Auckland International Airport as a transit passenger on the way to or from Australia.
Pass through Auckland International Airport as a transit passenger on the way to another country

— if you are from a visa waiver or transit visa waiver country.
Get someone to help you with your NZeTA request

— you will need to tell them about your criminal conviction history and whether you are seeking medical treatment in New Zealand

Recently, there have been a few visas uploaded on this thread and some sent to me directly for verification. My position on these visas still remain....However I had a discussion with a friend today who recently came across similar visas ....so far what we know is the city where the visa is originating from in Nigeria...

The authenticity is very questionable....but I heard some people were able to confirm the status on INZ website. If that's true, can anyone share a screenshot as I wasnt able to do that myself...also can u post the exact website address here.

Most of these visas are essential visa linked to Matueka cricket club which is the oldest cricket club in NZ and currently under reconstruction.

Also I heard one of the the criteria for using the NZ visa is to have a temporary Australian resident Visa....all these seems abit complicated and I will advise people do more research on this. Any further information gathered will be posted here....

Peace!!

Hello everyone,

Good morning

I'm new here and just came across this thread today. I have a new zealand visa that I'd like if you guys can help me verify if it's legit. The visa is not mine but it was sent by an agent as a previous one that he did around June this year. I have been having doubts as wether it's genuine cos I just felt since its an e visa it can be forged, before I saw this page and got to see that they forge new zealand visa a lot. So please I'd try post the visa and I will really appreciate your feedback as we haven't paid any money to the agent yet.

This is not a genuine NZ e-Visa...but he tried with his Microsoft skill....

Those who got their visas this year should also confirm. I haven't seen this before...also I just checked and the template still remains the same

Good morning guys, thanks to this thread for making us know people are doing fake NZ visa for Nigeria.
An agent was doing this same stuff for me but I luckily came across this thread. And when he should me this fake visa, I quickly notified the police and got him arrested.
They returned my money 100% and police wanted to prosecute them but I just told them to drop the case since I have collected my money from them.

Pls people should be careful with these guys, the Nigeria agents have people abroad their are working with to produce fake Visa.
Thanks to the guys that took their time to educate people on this thread.

Congrats bro....
