davodyguy: I think it may be deliberate.
See reasons below. They said they reserve the right to ask for more information, but chose not to No it’s never deliberate to deny anyone a visa. This is how it works ....Each immigration officer is trained to use their discretion to judge each application. However there’s a list of eligibility criteria that needs to be ticked on paper by the case officer before any visa is granted. This eligibility criteria is further checked by a supervisor or senior staff to make sure every case officer do not miss any information and have made the right decision on each application. The burden of proof is on the applicant to make sure the case officer is provided with every necessary document and information. The list of this eligibility criteria is not confidential. You can easily find them on the immigration site if u search enough. It’s a very open process. If you’re applying for a temporary entry visa ( visitor, tourist, work etc), the immigration officer is “ not obligated” to ask u for any missing piece or pieces in ur application. They have every right to deny it first time. And u cannot appeal or demand any further explanation. However if it’s a permanent visa category like a resident visa application, the immigration officer is “obligated” to inform the applicant through a letter called “Potentially prejudicial information” PPI Letter, before making the final decision on the application. This letter allows u to clarify whatever doubt they have or provide any missing piece. Even if this category of visa is denied and u think it has been done in error or unjustly, u can appeal the results or even petition the immigration minister. If a case officer have concerns but you’ve provided every necessary documents and information required for ur visa category, as long as the case officer can tick all the boxes on their paper you are very still likely to get the visa in most cases. On the other hand, If your motive and intentions are genuine and crystal clear to the case officer but unfortunately s/he can’t tick all the eligibility criteria boxes on the paper, the visa will be declined no matter what. Except the case officer is in a very good mood or maybe just a very nice and patient person and s/he is willing to go outside of the call of duty to help. I hope u understand better |

I miss Naija everyday even though they say it’s a jungle. It’s too lonely here sometimes.....Even most local find it too politically correct that u can’t just meet a person once and have an instant friendship.....you hardly find people with more than 10 close friends unlike Naija where u can have 500....lol |

ugsams: I get your point, Auckland is about the only place where I feel alive here... I like the busy and bigger cities. Unfortunately I haven't been to Wellington yet. As for Huntly I heard lots of negative stories about the place which I didn't take serious until I have my own personal experience. I will never live there for any reason. ahahahah nothing in NZ can be as tough as living on Lagos street. |

Oh definitely a bit cheaper outside Auckland....my sister in-law stays in Huntley just before where u are and house prices are ridiculous low compare to Auckland. But not sure I can live anywhere else apart from Auckland and Wellington. ugsams: yeah bro, it is really not a small figure, it takes sacrifice, discipline and extra hours of work to achieve. Also, I think cost of living is a little bit cheaper down here in Hamilton. |

Definitely possible... but my bro u & I know that’s not a small figure for one year especially if you’ve got bills and other responsibilities...lol ugsams: It's achievable, it all depends on your lifestyle, how long and hard you're willing to work and your pay rate. |

ugsams: Congratulations on becoming a Kiwi and well-done for keeping the thread alive. Many people may not understand how much sacrifice you make in order to respond to the queries here especially when we consider the time difference. Many times I have set out to respond to questions, typed half way and then break is over at work(you can only use phone during break or after work) or one thing comes up and that will be the end.
To everyone who is considering making a move here, I will say go for it if you have the resources and opportunities to come here legally. Working condition is good, quality of life is nice and the people are very polite and respectful. Your rights are protected and generally it's safe here. However, if you're not going to be in Auckland prepare for a laid back life which was a challenge to someone like me at first. You’re very correct bro.... especially the first paragraph. It’s not easy.... most of my typing are done in my precious time. And that’s why I hardly reply PM except when it’s very confidential and I have been informed earlier. But some of the beautiful comments makes it all worth it. |

djavu82: Thanks for the detailed explanation. I have a job in Nigeria now and it's not dt bad though but am qualified for the NZ skilled migrant program under d long term skilled shortage program. Therefore, I will be given a PR (as per what I read) but I also read u won't be qualified for some benefits until after 24months. Such benefits whixh u r not qualified for includes support if u do not work.
So Am doing some computations to see if it's worth exploring. I have checked my score and likely to score 165 meaning, I can be selected from d EOI pool. I have assessed my university transcript by NZQA body whixh is valid for 5years...
But sincerely, the only thing I still find interesting yet is the citizenship after 5years and International job experience...Now, I want to be sure if working alone, I can save money, pay my bills and not have a stressful life reason I am asking for some of dz info.
Anyway, is there anything like a room and parlour (Like we call it here)....pending when i finds my feet to get a bigger apartment...what's d idea of the cost...
Thanks for d info so far If you qualify for the skill migrant category, then it’s an opportunity you should take. Things will come a little bit easier. Also becoming NZ citizen will be a Golden opportunity for u and those involved. It’s a gate to the globe for y’all. Also as a NZ citizen, u can live indefinitely in Australia if u choose to. * No room and parlour but you can share a flat with people or rent an a 1/2 bedroom unit from a building. Renting a unit will give u the privacy than sharing a flat. But might be slightly higher in price. |

djavu82: Thank u for this info...
I sincerely appreciate.
Am just kinda worried dt if u begin to pay $500 per week without bills whixh is roughly $2000 per month, dt means u must get a job dt is roughly $5000 or $6000 per month ex Tax. To earn 5000 NZD after tax means you have to earn at least $37/hr for a 40hrs/week job or $30/hr for a 50hr/week job (rough estimate). Most low and mid skill job worker don’t earn close to this. I don’t think u can earn that much doing 40hrs a week mate, at the beginning of this thread, I mentioned NZ is not a Cheap country to live in. especially Auckland There are couples who do not earn more than 4500-5000 a month. That been said, there are individual that still earn over 4500 monthly doing just low skill or mid skill job. Although Professionals, tradie and business owners could earn more. I believe your partner will be working ft/pt time too. If not, I will advise u think twice because I don’t think you qualify for any social benefit as non- resident immigrants and living on one income might be stressful before u find ur feet here. Except u have ur own plan. Single or couple without kids do share flat which makes a huge difference...flat sharing could cost between 150-250 depending on the area, number of people in the house and nature of the flat u sharing. I stand to be corrected on this .... but it’s my personal opinion. |

djavu82: Ok noted.
My questions are not directly related to this thread...Anyway, 1. Please in which state or province of NZ do blacks reside or Nigerians 2. Where do u advise as settlement base for any Nigerian 3. What is the average monthly rent for a 2bedroom apartment in dz area.
Thanks Auckland is the most populated and probably most expensive city here. But u will definitely meet Africans/ Nigerians if that’s your concern. African community is not so large like Indian, Asian or Pacific Islanders community so you won’t necessarily see Africans daily. But u will definitely see them around. Also there are few African churches around here. There isn’t a lot of difference between 2 and 3 b/room apartment when it comes to pricing. But averagely I would say $350-$450 weekly for 2 bed while 3 bed could be $500 on average. This doesn’t include bills (power, internet, water etc). Other cities might come cheaper but I recommend you don’t go to the South Island as I don’t have much knowledge of the African community or jobs availability except you don’t mind working on a farm. |

ezinwaJesu: You don't have to pay tuition before Visa application. Start your application with your unconditional offer of place and ensure your medical and x-ray test reference number is handy because you can't submit an application for students visa up to one year without the result.
Once Immigration is satisfied with your application, you will receive what is called "Approval In Principle (AIP)". Once your application is approved in principle, you pay your full one year tuition immediately and send the receipt to INZ for confirmation. Students Visa is usually issued up to 5 days after submitting receipt of tuition payment.
Remember your Nigerian Passport must go to South Africa for confirmation before an AIP. So get everything ready along with a passport handling fee of R505.
Best of luck. Good info |

davodyguy: Hello chief See the attached image.
That's my realme account.
It is legal to help others submit their applications using my created account and at the same time submit mine without doing group application?
If you look at the image, you'll see 2 applications
The first one with a name is for the guy I'm helping, while mine is below without a name, as my passport is still being processed in Abeokuta.
Please advise if their any negative implications Thanks Firstly you need to understand that real me is a government platform to prevent identity theft and it’s uniquely used by an individual for several purposes including visa application. Using a realme account is solely for whoever details were use to open the account and nothing else. https://www.ivisa.com/new-zealand-blog/new-zealand-visa-and-realmeSecondly helping people with their visa application is very illegal in NZ except you are a licensed adviser or immigration lawyer. However you can assist with filling the forms if the principal applicant cannot do that themselves but cannot provide immigration advice. https://www.immigration.govt.nz/about-us/our-online-systems/apply-on-behalfApplying for visa on behalf of someone can only be done by employer or education providers. In this case, if INZ regard what you’ve done as illegal, there will be issues which is likely to be the case. Realme is yours and unique to you. If you haven’t submit the application, I will advise u cancel it immediately. P.S: informations in this text are my personal opinion and not immigration advise . Cheers |

Letter from Sponsor to Embassy(HR writing letter) 9. Evidence of previous travel 10. Hotel reservation 11. Ticket itinerary showing reservation 12. List of my landed properties with their values 13. Family photographs 14. List of floating assets(Stocks, Treasury bills, Bonds) 15. Self introduction letter 16. Evidence of attending previous two conferences In Tokyo and Sydney respectively 17. List of some top clients and letters of engagement showing ongoing projects 18. Two bank reference letters showing company's financial solvency of the firm 19. Evidence of paying taxes, company and Personal Income tax 20. Evidence of registration for the conference
Some of us intend to submit our applications on June 3rd, 2019 as there would be public holiday after Ramadan from 4th to 6th of June. We must allow ample time for the ECO to process our applications.
Hope I'm not over doing it Nothing like ‘over doing’ when it comes to showing evidence. It’s better to give overwhelming evidence and let the immigration officer choose the significant one than to provide less evidence. Your list of evidence is comprehensive enough. You will be alright. Cheers |
