davodyguy: I am sensing something.
A colleague with three international Travel experience, landed properties, cars and top position in his office was denied twice in June/July, but another one with a 'VIRGIN' passport is about getting visa, who didn't submit a single property or car, neither did he show strong ties to Nigeria, or send any cover letter(Yes, cos i handled it and we didn't even send any cover letter and attached only 6 items) is very close to being granted.
of course case handled by different officer
Wonders shall never end so what documents did he submit and how did he show his socio-economy ties to Nigeria? Or does he attend TB Joshua’s church?...Lol |

patani: Did you mention how racist the Kiwis are? NZ is a no go for me personally...My company sends my colleague for IT consulting and I don't pray to be posted there, judging from the report I have from them. I completely disagree with you on that...... instead of racism, kiwis will rather mind their own business and they’re probably one of the best and loving people on earth. it may be different in some smaller towns but in major cities like Auckland, I don’t think anybody send anybody. Maybe you talking about Aussies. |

Does the delivery in Finland contribute to your working hours as a student? How much can you make off it doing deliveries in Finland in a month? even Uber eats.... but the main thing is getting a full or restricted license as you might have to do late driving |

davodyguy: Thanks for your comment.
I have some things to say, but so I don't sound racists, I would not say it here in the open, maybe to your mail.
It's quite unfortunate how they treat Nigerians.
In 2017 precisely in July, I was denied AU visa (my application was submitted online and treated in SA)
The officer said I didn't provide evidence that I've attended a similar conference before in a comparable country. He denied me on 27th July, I reapplied on 31st July and sent a protest letter against for not considering previous visas and the fact that I was in Tokyo for same conference in 2015. He responded and said the Japanese Visa showed visit Visa, rather than business Visa, hence he assumed I went for tourism and not for conference.
Just image that kind of excuse.
After reapplication, same person granted the visa on 31/8/2017. I was able to travel to Australia and participated in the Sydney conference.
25 Nigerians applied, only 6 of us were issued Visas. Out of the 6, only 3 of us traveled cos the ticket cost was into the millions, because of closeness to travel date.
Now in 2019, we faced the same thing. About tell has applied, and only 3 so far, all others were denied.
Sometimes, I wonder what's happening. Is it that our image is so battered abroad that genuine applicants will have to suffer for the sins of microscopic stupid individuals who criminally violated visa rules?
It's very unfortunate to say the least well Nigeria is not alone .... it’s generally Africa There’s been a debate on this issue lately on aljazeera.....Africans are paying the price no doubt https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2019/07/report-finds-visa-discrimination-uk-africans-suffer-190717133253395.html |

I can only say congratz to those who got theirs. Nobody can guarantee the outcome of any visa.In all honesty I didn’t support the second application because it has a very little chance. U need to get it right the first time. If denied, give it sometimes and claim your circumstances have changed. But because of your seminar date fast approaching, this kind of advice isn’t for your group. A Nigerian guy is legally married to a kiwi, he lives in Brazil and the lady lives in NZ, the lady and her mum had visited him.... she’s re-visited several times but still he’s been denied ordinary temporary entry visa upto 6x. Now the lady had relocated to live with him in Brazil, so he can reapply whenever he qualifies for a Residence visa. Why am I saying this? It’s just to show a lot have changed in the last couple of years. Never use to be this hard. But people have taken too much advantage of NZ relaxed immigration rules and the new government is trying to correct that. Many issues going on with migration all over the world and NZ is not exceptional. Many Europeans migrants are also finding it difficult to get a permanent stay in NZ now. So they ain’t targeting any particular race. It’s just what it is for now. Cheers davodyguy: Oga, you didn't comment on my post for visa denial for a colleague the second time |

Jayce01: Hi everyone, please I'd like to ask BTW New zealand and finland which is a better option? Especially for a student, who's looking to take up part time jobs, maybe one or two while going to school? Economically Europe and Most Europeans countries are a bigger market but you might face Language barrier and other things faced by people of colour all around the world. On the other hand, NZ is a smaller market, no major language barrier, unemployment rate is less than 5% so which means u will always get something to do while studying. Kiwis are generally welcoming no matter where u from. But as a student visa holder, u can only work 20hrs/ week. Hope this is helpful |

davodyguy: Here's the cost of air ticket and options
1. Ethiad Lagos -Abu Dhabi- Auckland no need for transit Visa ₦1,400,000 2. Qatar airways Lagos -Doha- Auckland no need for transit ₦1,400,000 3. Emirates Airline Lagos- Dubai- Auckland, no need for transit ₦1,350,000 4. SAA Lagos- JXB- Perth- AKL may need transit ₦817,000
Considering I'm only going for conference and I'm not going to make any money in Auckland, which is the most reasonable option to take as a family who need to spend money on other important things apart from traveling? Option 4 is the best ..... what I pointed out to u is the same option but replacing ‘Perth’ with ‘Hong kong’ ( if u don’t wanna apply for any transit visa) same SAA nothing changes. SAA have two route to NZ..... one requires transit visa, one doesn’t. I’ve used the Honk kong route before and Honk kong Airport and Airline is one of the best I’ve experienced so far. Flying through Honk kong might even be cheaper But expect to see upto 98% Asian on your flight from Honk kong if u choose that route. https://secure.flightcentre.co.nz/k5QV/results#booking-summaryCheers |

I will send an email to SAA ASAP for clarification, if not I can apply for transit Visa myself.
I was given AU visa in 2017 and didn't violate their rules, so I think there would be no issue apply for Transit Visa.
One of the benefits I enjoy is having my Visa come early and ample time to prepare You are the man.... |

ugsams: Cover letter is a very important component for visa application especially those that visa interviews are not compulsory. It's on the letter that one will answer possible questions that would have been asked if the immigration officer is to interview he/she. It's there that one gets to explain his individual circumstances, full reason for travel, the value it will add to his life, his socioeconomic status amongst other things. Knowing how to draft this letter is another thing. Best way to write this letter is by putting yourself in the position of that immigration officer who have absolutely no prior knowledge of you or your circumstances. but also have 100’s of other applications to go through at the same time as yours. This letter should not be bulky if u really want your case officer to read it. 3-4 pages max is enoughDespite the great importance of a cover letter in any visa application, there’s no known template or format for it. Which means it doesn’t matter how It’s written as long as the message is delivered. Cover letters are unique to each individual and visa types. BUT all cover letter must contains most of the following information. Your cover letter must be able to; 1. Introduce you to the immigration officer (Name, passport number and Nationality), what you do and your socio-economy status. 2. Link together every other evidences or documents you’ve supplied 3. Your plans, duration and purpose for visit 4. Values or benefits the traveling will add to your personal life or business if granted visa. Also, I usually recommend that people include a “Table Of Content” to their application especially if it’s a paper application. It’s the best way to tell the case officer what documents you’ve included in the application. So even if they miss anything the first time, the table of contents will remind them. Lastly, Emotions is the only one thing that’s the same all over the world. So despite colour, race or status we all have emotions. Show a little bit of emotion/vulnerability towards the end of your letter. I mean just a “little bit” to show what the visa actually means to you but not in a desperate way and how u will “Never” break the conditions of your visa if it’s granted. This has worked for me many times. P.S; Information contained here are my personal opinions and should not be taken as immigration advise. |

davodguy: Number colleague now refused again on two grounds
1. He did not show strong employment record 2. He did not show he has traveled for the conference before.
This man that was denied has been traveling since year 2000 to every part of the world. If you see his int'l Passport, the booklet is always, filled, but was still denied. His the most senior executive in his office, as the organization was founded by his cousin in 1997 and still waxing strong till date.
I just don't understand what's happening Did he submit a copy of all his previous visa with the application since u guys are doing online and immigration hasn’t even seen his passport to confirm his travel experience ? Did he show proper records of his employment, asset, liabilities and even family ties to Nigeria? There should be a part of the application that actually shows all the socio-economy bond to the country. |
