The height of poverty, hardship, evil and corruption in Nigeria in the last few years has gotten to a stage where I’m personally loosing hope in the name Nigeria and do not want to be associated with the name again. What d f*** did we do to deserve what d devil has achieved through our leaders in this nation. Why are we so devilish, self centred and greedy like this. Whoever started this whole game will know no peace. Can we just remember death for a second....and think about the these innocent kids, blood and tears**** |

Are u moving back because of your inability to legalise your stay or because you can’t cope with the lonely Lifestyle of the west ?? That will help us understand your case properly. And also forget about going home to look for a job, that will be hard with all these stories in the news. If your undertable job can give u some savings, while not start thinking of the job u can create for yourself.... 5 Likes |

Funnyman:Well I’m not gonna argue that with u. But if u think 16$ is a lot of money, then “it is sir”. But I can only tell u that you can get as much as 22$ for the same security job he does in some countries. Maybe even in another province in the same Canada I don’t know. But I don’t expect a security officer to be paid minimum wage. And when I said it’s not a lot, that was because of the way someone did the mathematics. 13 Likes |

oluwaleokey: NZ being a small and conservative country is very careful of who and what comes in through their border. They protect the country the best way possible..... Most people use NZ as a steppingstone to enter Australia. So u should know why it’s tough. But NZ immigration is still one of the lenient in the world. 2 Likes |

ola80: This is not unusual as I have mentioned before. When you’re applying for a visa, give it enough processing time. INZ recently closed some of their overseas visa processing branch and most applications from around the world are now been processed in NZ. There’s a huge backlog with application and u can only wait till it’s your turn on the queue. I will advise you write again and ask for your case officer email address..... sometimes they give it out, sometimes they don’t depending on who you happen to speak with. But check the email address you registered with the application if there’s any email from the case officer. Then u can reply and tell him or her your concerns, attaching the details of the conference. Do it in a humble way and don’t be over confident in the email. Cheers 1 Like |

oluwaleokey:Minimum wage is $16.5, ur wage will depend on your employer and ur experience. You can work full time during the breaks. But some students do menial job for cash outside their 20hrs legal working hours. But that’s a breach of their visa conditions. 1 Like 1 Share |

oluwaleokey: They grant admission to anybody who meet the requirements and have the fee..... nearly 70% of the students here are not local from what I’ve observed. They mostly Indians, Asian and some few others. You’re allowed to work upto 20 hrs/ week legally while u study. Also you’re eligible for about 3 years post study work visa. Buts the price could range from between NGN 4.5-6 million per Annum . That’s around 20,000-30,000 NZD for international students |

If you have a valid info about NZ, visa and migration you are free to share and help others. You don’t have to be Nigerian, share how you approach your application and the route. There are many route let’s share experience. With partnership applications and general immigration questions , I have experience. There are people who have experience in other type of application so we need you to share. Thanks |

solin:It’s because NZ is the least popular of all the countries mentioned in your post. You can’t compare the threads as there are more nairanlanders in those country who are willing to share info....... NZ is a small country, and not so many Africans are migrating here. You can compare with Norway, Iceland etc thread. Most African in NZ are refugees from East Africa and some South Africa citizens Many Nigerians today still don’t know there’s a country call New Zealand.... But it’s the favourite tourist destination for Europeans and Americans. 1 Like |

Ellen is one of the most generous TV host of this century...... she gives money and gifts out as if she manufactured them... indeed a wonderful lady with a great heart Only if Nigerian celebs will remember that there’s something called charity and giving back to the community (Street) instead of the stupid display of luxurious lifestyle. |

ICTBEYONDBORDER:Virgin passport or not, If you have a genuine reason to wanna visit, the right paper work and you meet the requirements for a bona fide visitor, you will get your visa and no law says you need a travel history to fly. What you should be concerned about is the date of the conference which is probably less than 2 months to this time and you haven’t even apply. How sure are you your application will be process within that time? with the present backlog with applications. Due to closure of some off shore visa processing centres. |

solin:I will advise u not to call INZ as that might complicate things more. The first question they will ask is where did you apply and did you apply yourself? Firstly if U have applied yourself, you won’t have any doubt about the authenticity of your visa. I believe the guy never apply, he may had just gone ahead with his evil plan. But if he did apply and was denied and he decided to put a fake one on your passport, INZ still have all your details even though your application had been declined. At the end of most, if not all INZ application forms, there’s a column that ask if you had used an ‘adviser’ which also means ‘agent’ for your application. But because this agent is not a licensed adviser, he would have definitely put ‘NO’. If this is the scenario, you might face a future ban for lying to INZ on your application form. If u still have doubts, just go to the airport and watch any mature pathfinder staff if they can help you... but if u can still do something, do it now |

EKPETI:I have checked all the visas I have access to, ranging from visitor, work, residents, to PR and none of them have any set of numbers like yours. The application number, client number and visa number of visas issued in the last 4 years are all 8digits numbers. The 2 set of numbers that should be on your visa is your ‘client number’ on the left and visa number on the right I will advise you not to buy any ticket yet. I advise everybody on this thread not to use any agent for NZ visa. If u qualify, u will get it with proper guidance. DIY If at most u need an agent, let them charge you for the paperwork. While u apply and courier it yourself with your email and address. communicate directly with immigration. Pay visa fee from your account and have them return your passport to u directly and not agent. If your application is denied, INZ won’t stamp your passport but all these criminal travel agents don’t care about damaging your passport. Except Licensed Immigration Adviser LIA. Which I’m not sure if there’s any in Nigeria. 1 Like 1 Share |

LUCAS99:Also students who had graduated in NZ and got a one year post study work permit, can also be given a 2 year work permit after their one year runs out provided they have an employer willing to sponsor them or a skilled job. As they qualify for upto 3 years post study work visa. But that might change soon as the government is considering limiting the 3 years work permit to Students who had completed at least a 3 year degree program. While anything less than a degree gets 1 yr. But at the moment, diploma graduates can still get the full 3 yrs 1 Like 1 Share |

EKPETI:in the last 3 years, I’ve had 4 different application numbers and none of these 2 looks familiar......you should have 2 different set of 8 digits number. One is your ‘Application ‘ number and one is Client number. With all these said, I will have to check some of my visas to see if I can find any of these number format u gave before trying to check with the INZ link for employer to check employees visa validity if I can still find the link in my archive. Where did u get those numbers from..... looks like that might be your courier tracking numbers or something. |

timcols: Cost of living is high, some believe it’s even higher than Aussie. 3 bedroom apartment ranges between $450-700 NZD/ week. About getting a job, I don’t know your skill or qualifications so I can’t give an answer to that but if you looking for just any job to get some cash, I believe you should get something within that time. And also does your passport allow you to work or apply for a work permit while onshore,or you need a job offer first? Because except u have a skill that’s in high demand or shortage, you might not get a job offer within the 3 months |

suxes2005:Well even though we all have our doubts, but I would love to say ‘Everybody is innocent until proven guilty ‘ So Lets believe all visa are genuine until proven otherwise. When u receive your passport, a small piece of paper will come with it stating your application number and conditions of your visa if they haven’t change their procedures. Hopefully we can do something before you buy ur ticket. |
