ofenmanucom: I never knew U still had anything left inside that thick skull of Urs. I agree with U all the way. I can't wait to see the Biafran fighter jets manouvering in the sky...Some heading Westward and the rest Northward. What a spectacle it would be to behold! If we die, we die... Afteralll we all will die someday
You won't discuss the issues raised by the OP. It's to talk about fighter jets. angry
PoliticsRe: For Those Of Us Seriously Beating The Drum Of War. Is This What We Really Want? by Feraz(m): 9:59pm On Jul 26, 2014
As usual, the Igbos are being pointed as the one agitating for war. People killing up north for no just cause aren't beating the drums of war, it is only those who hustle and travel every part of Nigeria to make a living that are beating the drums of war; the people that riot for something happening in another continent, going as far as burning, killing and maiming people aren't agitating for war right? Typical of certain Nairalanders. The OP raised salient issues and most have started pointing accusing fingers.

Kabba7, have you invested down east and you were chased out? You open your mouth to accuse a certain people of wanting to take over your land; when someone sees opportunities in your land that you can't see, do you blame the person? Typical you! Always ready to pin his problems on others.

As expected, it's turned tribal... undecided

ComputersRe: Post Your Computer (PC) Troubles Here. by Feraz(m):
I'm having issues with my PC. I got a new PC August last year, updated to Windows 8.1 when I saw a prompt from store to do so. Sometime June this year, it's asking me to activate. I click on the activate link and it's telling me that it can't activate. It just seems like it isn't activating cos the product key isn't matching but c'mon, it's a new PC with an OEM license. How am I supposed to resolve it without resetting my PC to Windows 8 as I can't install some Microsoft products and also can't use the PC's wi-fi. Deji2009, 4llerbuntu, all4naija, onegig? Anybody? Thanks. cry cry

gbosaa: Your aim of opening this thread has been defeated by the few responses here especially the first one from Chinenyem....
I know you of all people must have researched this topic very well, knew its Efik connection..then brought it here to see how many Igbos would claim its origin and invention...
All you want is....Igbos claim Nsibidi to set them at war with Cross River people..wrong mister...Igbos love Efik,Ibibio etc people and that feeling is very mutual.
Alj Haram....your goodmorning to any Igbo man should not be trusted...
Bros, e never reach quarrel now besides, I think it's best we enlighten ourselves.

According to what I read, they're like there are different versions of the Nsibidi; as in Igbos have theirs, Efik theirs, Ekoi theirs. Someone who's well versed should throw more light. Quid, did you just write that as in the nsibidi writing in the picture?

BlackPeni5: People claiming other people's history...It's not from Ibo, deal with it.
I don't think anyone here is claiming anything.
CultureRe: Where Is The Origin Of The "Nsibidi" Form Of Writing? by Feraz(m): 7:36am On Jul 25, 2014
I've always wondered where the writings originated from and I'm of the opinion that the Eastern and SE governors should create awareness so that people can research more on it.

When I meant first in the Marvel world, I meant none in the Marvel world had achieved it then till Superman did so. Of course I know Supes is DC smiley
TV/MoviesRe: Thread For "Marvel Comics" Fanboys And Fangirls by Feraz(m): 9:54pm On Jul 24, 2014
As for lifting the hammer, it is only those deemed worthy to wield it that can lift it. Eg Capt. America, Beta Ray Bill - who BTW punked Thor, Wonder woman
TV/MoviesRe: Thread For "Marvel Comics" Fanboys And Fangirls by Feraz(m): 9:52pm On Jul 24, 2014
moneyallowed: fake? the movie scene was for ad tins jare. do you know how many people have lifted that hammer and used it against Thor or someone else? even superman has used it, a DC comics guy for chrissakes! pls goan read comics abeg or better still, google
Superman didn't actually lift it. Odin allowed Superman wield the hammer albeit a little. Superman can stop a blow from the hammer but not lift it. Heck, he was the first in the Marvel world to actual stop a blow from the hammer leaving Thor surprised.
TV/MoviesRe: Thread For "Marvel Comics" Fanboys And Fangirls by Feraz(m): 9:42pm On Jul 24, 2014
moneyallowed: Haba guy! Hulk has beaten Thor countless times...black, blue and even green. he has also lifted that hammer( forget that worthy shit) again, countless times. Thor's the only one that can stand a round of bashing by Hulk(besides Wolverine) so they pit them against each other very often.
#team hulk
Actually, that lifting up was fake. The movie got it right by not letting Hulk lift the hammer.
TV/MoviesRe: Thread For "Marvel Comics" Fanboys And Fangirls by Feraz(m): 9:39pm On Jul 24, 2014
A thread for dissing DC comics eh. Is it Marvel that don't overpower their characters? Franklin Richards - the product of Sue and Reed Richards who is on par with cosmic entities? Even in their crossovers, Supes punked Hulk and nearly destroyed Thor save for his Mjolnir. Who said flash lacks originality? Chei! That guy is awesomely faster than quicksilver.

I love both franchise but my grouse with DC is the way they tend to neglect their heroes; then for Marvel, ridiculous powers to their characters.

Give me a link for reading comics for free. And Naruto is not boring. angry

I meant WP8.1 developers' preview.
FoodRe: Share Your Stew Recipe! by Feraz(m): 12:54pm On Jul 22, 2014
MissMeiya: Nope! It takes less. It takes about 20 minutes.

And you don't even have to watch it very closely because it can't burn. The worst that could happen is the boiling water would dry up and the pot and basket would burn. Also the rice could get too soft, I suppose.

It's so handy when you're cooking other things, because all you have to do is set it up, and leave it until it's done. Last night I was exhausted, but I was still able to make steamed rice for this morning with no problem.
Will try this when I have the time. For the bolded, that was the first thing that came to my mind cos I felt like it's more like soaking the rice in hot water.
MissMeiya: Very nice! I'm learning so many different ways to make stew, it's exciting
You don't have to process the ginger, you know. I have a elder cousin who leaves the pieces inside the stew, and encourages us to chew them, because it's good for you. Health matters aside, try it once. Remove the pieces after if you like. The taste is pretty nice.
Ok oh! I'll try it.

Gentlemimi, I thought bayleaf is used just for jollof rice?

FoodRe: Share Your Stew Recipe! by Feraz(m): 11:37am On Jul 22, 2014
MissMeiya, this your steamed rice, how long does it take to prepare because if parboiled rice take an estimated 30mins to get done, then this 'steamed' rice should take longer right? If yes, you must have lots of patience.
FoodRe: Share Your Stew Recipe! by Feraz(m): 10:56am On Jul 22, 2014
This is my own recipe -

Blend the tomatoes and peppers while in the market.
Cook the meat by adding water, a bulb of big onions, pepper, curry, thyme, salt, maggi
Par-boil the blended tomatoes and pepper till most of the water evaporate and then sieve out the water
Add vegetable oil to pot and heat, add onions. After sometime, add the blended tomato in the sieve into the pot of heated oil. Then I add pepper, onions, curry, salt, maggi etc. (Not that I don't like ginger or garlic but no time to start processing those as a student). When the stew starts making the pop sound and splashing everywhere, I add the water I used for cooking the meat and then add the meat (cooked or fried). After say 5 mins, turn off fire.

If I'm using fish, I don't cook separately like the meat. I just add it when the stew is almost done as fish tend to get done very quickly.

I'm still looking for who will teach me how to cook palm oil stew as the one I did sometime back left me with a bitter experience.

P.S.: most times, I don't taste while cooking (with exception of plantain grin) as the stew turns out well. cheesy

Who here has updated to the final version of WP8.1? The update for my Lumia 925 is out as said on Nokia website but trying it now, it's telling me my phone is up to date. The version on my phone is way different from the final version on the Nokia website. So who here has updated to the final version; I think Cyan update? Jmaine, Uj_sizzle, runzlord, kinesis?

Kinesis, mind posting screenshots of the Lumia BBM?

While they're at it, they should also make The Hulk female. It's gonna be EPIC!!! Marvel with their ridiculous characters. That's how they made Franklin Richards on par with cosmic entities in the Marvel world.

Sincere9gerian: And when the picture came, what was the response of Mynd44 and co? How often do you stop on the road to take pictures of road construction? Do you think its easy for people to abandon their schedule and start taking pictures on the road?
Certain times, you prove people wrong by taking actions instead of resorting to name callings and exchange of words. When you do that, it shows how foolish that person has been and you go your way fulfilled. If from the first page, you people had educated the OP, it wouldn't have degenerated into this. Not everyone is criticising the president because they hate him - this is something you should bear in mind.

Tabletman, thanks for the pictures. Hopefully, one of the PDP members will take your pictures and create a new thread with it.
