You should not apply again at this time. It will fetch you a 10 year ban. Secondly, they may involve prosecution.

Document Verification is not limited to Bank Statement alone. So you may want to consider doing an Administrative review.

However, you need to be sure your certificate is original. Contact the Student Adminstration office (exams and Record), sort it out there first and be sure they didn't issue you a fake document,

Lastly you might consider using an independent evaluation service and attach the result of the evaluation to your AR. Consider using UK NARIC.

It will be painfully slow. The only option you have is an Administrative Review of that decision. You need to take that serious so that this decision won't blight your chances at another time or at other embassies. Forgery is a serious immigration offense.

Hi All,

I received a refusal letter from Pretoria today.

Reason they give is that my certificate that i used 5 years to obtain is not genuine.

"You have submitted a 2008 Bachelor of Science degree certificate in your name
which was purportedly issued by the University of Ibadan. However examination
of the document by a forgery officer have led to the conclusion that this
document is not genuine. These checks have been documented in a document
examination report (DER) held by our office. I am satisfied that you have
submitted a false document in support of your application. Your application is
therefore refused under Paragraph 9.7.1 (a) of the Immigration Rules."

1. Should I simply fly BA from Abuja to LHR and from there find a train to Bradford?

2. Should I fly BA from Abuja to Manchester via LHR, (the problem here is arriving in Manchester around 8 pm and the possibility of finding my way to Bradford at that time easily).

1) The person can send you the dollar. Go get a dollar card. It can be loaded directly. Alternatively let the person send you the money help you pay. Either of the two.

2) She was not living in the UK for the first year, so I reckon she won't have to pay. If she does, she can claim a refund.

We can actually get someone in Diaspora to send Dollar /Pounds if it's a direct deposit.

You should have taken this to the General visa thread. This is a visit visa application. The VO only works with your proven income, you should have attached a letter of explanation stating the sources of the other money outside your salary and including supporting docs to that effect.

You can't use 5 months salary to go for 2 weeks holiday. It may indicate you are not likely to come back. After returning, what will you now use to pay your rent? It's very logical not 'this people are funny' as you alleged.

Poor financial analysis on cash flow is the reason most visit visa gets denied.
You need to be adviced properly for your next application.

You can write your name, tell them you are about submitting your application, but make sure you submit your application before the biometric day.

Honestly, It's tricky. Since you are not the main applicant, it might help.

Consider allowing your wife and your child apply first and when it's out, you can send in your own application.

The agent who gave you that earlier advice did you in. Marital status is a good reason for granting visiting visa, cos you demonstrate ties to your country.

Go ahead with your application. They may not ask. If they ask why you had your status in the last application as single? Tell them it must have been filled-in in error.

So what happens if you get a closer date before, your PoF maturation? If you have your CAS already and you are able to secure a date after PoF maturation, it is technically possible. I think it's better if you wait it out and go for a walk-in.

Yes. But why will you do that when you can easily get FX from the bank. You will still need to pay for IHS and visa fee, you can use your card then except you get plenty money.

Have you been allotted a CAS number yet? If not it will be better you differ, if your bank statement is needed to issue it. However, if you have it now. Send em a mail that your statement will be ready by 8th September using the Priority service. That you hope with that your Visa will be out by 13th to 15th of September - 2 weeks clear of resumption. A time you think is sufficient for you to arrive and settle down. Let them know this is the plan you are working with.

“Please be aware that your bank statements will be ready very late into the academic year. Teaching is due to commence on 4th October and we want to ensure you arrive here in time for you to start your studies and not miss any teaching etc.

You have to do it before 28th of August. You have no time to waste again. They are likely to stop issuing CAS from 4th of September.

You can pay from anywhere. I'd suggest you call up you account manager and speak to them.

'CAS has been used' simply means a decision has been made. It doesn't mean your visa has been approved or disapproved. This is only known once you collect your Ppt.
