It's not false.

But let's not bicker about it. Gracias!
AAO7:
Go back and read what he said. Then come back.
Paragraph 3 is false!
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by fetomowo: 2:37pm On Jun 23, 2021
I am not sure you properly digested what I wrote. What's sentimental about a process I have used my self and for others. I never said you shouldn't have enough money or add buffers. Sometimes even the buffer people provide doesn't cut it. It's good for folks to know what to if and when certain things happen.

The rule to proof of fund is to show clearly how you did set aside the required funds, some people actually use a letter of explanation to provide average figures, some use the exchange rate on the last day or even the first day. Just let them know how you calculated your PoF.

By the time it's August and people run into different kinds of hitch, this might be helpful.

Regards,
AAO7:
I beg to differ!
They’re reasonable not sentimental.
Where possible, add enough buffer! We have seen people be refused for this exact same thing so why take chances.

Many schools tell your explicitly that the amount required must not drop, not even for a second and then you’re saying it’s the day you set aside. THATS NOT TRUE! I can agree with the day you submit but not the day you set aside….
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by fetomowo: 11:51am On Jun 23, 2021
No! You are fine wether you add to it or not.

Let me state this here cos I see a lot around conversion rate. When you set aside money for 28 days. Go to OANDA and print your conversion rate.

Back in 2013, when I applied, the money I set aside for 28 days didn't cut it by the 28th day. Exchange rate had taken off a bit out of it. There was no time to do another round. So what I did was to print the OANDA rate on the day I set aside the funds. It was clearly the requires amount.

The officials are not unreasonable people. I think it was 2017 that exchange rate pulmet to unthinkable levels, I gave this hack to someone and he got his visa like I did.

No matter how much buffer you have, if the Naira goes on free fall, it won't cut it. Hence, what's most important is the currency equivalence on the first day you start counting your 28 days. Ensure it is what is required.

japhethGold:
Hello Good people,

Please help me with this:

My school is Birmingham City University.
The school fee is GBP13,200
I got scholarship of GBP1500
I paid deposit of GBP3000
BALANCE FEE DUE NOW= 8,700GBP
Maintenance fund = 9,207GBP

Total Fund required= 17,907GBP.

Now, I have set aside NGN10,850,000.

My school agent is asking me to add another N500k. Although he confirmed that I have excess of only N500k based on the above Naira amount above in my account. However, he prefers I should have excess of N1M. So I should look for additional N500k and add to make excess funds N1M. His argument is that Naira is falling against the GBP so I should build a stronger buffer against FX rate.

Please good people would this excess amount in anyway affect my chances of getting visa approval?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by fetomowo: 4:43pm On Jun 22, 2021
When you have a joint application - that is a main applicant and dependants- and you are paying for a priority service or super-priority service, will that be charged individually for each passport or will our application be treated and charged as one and the same?

Does anyone know?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi everyone,

Please can anyone clear this for me.

If you print out a 28 day bank statement but took an additional six days to get your CAS statement from your university, would you still be able to go ahead with visa application? Is that what the 30 day rule mean? How exactly long is the 28 day bank statement valid for?

Thanks, anticipating....

It is not totally true or untrue but a function or discretion of the airline. I think it's better to start learning how Rapid test is being carried out. I plan to visit US in April via Emirates and I have been reading about their requirements to travel to, from or through Dubai. See the attached
Please, does anyone know if transiting through Europe ( CDG, AMS, LHR) will constitute a violation of the US covid 19 protocols?

If yes what is the advisable thing to do, travel through Qatar or UAE, or even North Africa to JFK?

Please kindly advise. Thanks

Okay, Thank you for the response. Are you sure Nigeria Mastercard would work? I am in Nigeria. Please house I need help with police clearance certificate. I was asked to pay 15k here in Ilorin. Is this the price range?
If you go to CID, Alagbon Lagos, you will pay 4.5-6K. If you pay 15K in Ilorin they will come to Lagos to get it for you. It might take time. Weigh your options.

Hello Gurus in the house.

I was granted 3 months Visitor Visa and it was stated on it that I must not spend more that 7 days. It was a single entry though.
I traveled for a Programme last week Monday and came back yesterday, meaning that I obeyed the instruction.

The Visa is expiring May 24 and I have another Programme I am attending between May 22 to May 24. Do I need to apply for another Visa? however the issued visa still valid till May 24.

I will appreciate your adice.

Thanks
You need a new Visa. You had a single entry visa that meant you could enter SA anytime within the specified period once and allowed to stay only for a week.

Good day house, pls is there anyone here who submitted his or her application for visa at vfs lagos on 16th or afterwards and has been granted, cos I submited for study visa on 16th and havent received any response except the text that it was dispatched to SA high comission on that day. Just want to kno if theres anyone within that time frame that has been granted
Be patient. While you are doing that, waiting for a text message is not the best way to track your application. Go to vfs website and track your application using your date of birth and your Application ID.

Hello, can you help me out with how you booked verifiable flight for the visa, thanks
Yes. You can book a flight from flysaa.com thats South African Airways (Not any other airline) for Visa processing.

Book a round trip. It will expire in 72 hours. So book close to the date you will submit your application.

Hello Guys! I got my study permit for Ph.D. today. Submitted on Tuesday 6th in VFS Lagos. Got to SA Embassy in Lagos on Wednesday, 7th. Processed and dispatched to VFS for Collection on the 12th. That's roughly 4 to 5 days. Decided to pick it up today 14th. All done in about a week.

Thank you guys for all the advise.

My lesson learned is
1) to be extra honest (volunteer more than is needed),
2) you can use a non-blood relative SOA. Do make untrue claims anywhere in your letters.
3) State things as clearly as possible. If you have any seemingly conflicting information (State the reason in your letter of introduction)

I thank you all for your help!

Check the website for the necessary requirements and download the application form, it’s in it. My question is how is the crowd traffic at the application office in Lagos presently
The crowd is much. Make sure you get there early.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by fetomowo: 10:08am On Jan 30, 2018
justwise:
Your chances of getting a visa is very remote even with a letter from your friend because..

You will find it difficult to convince the embassy that your friend is willing to allow you to use his money for your Ph.D. program. You don't present bank statement for the seek of it, you present a bank statement stating that the money in that account will be available for your use in SA.

So the question here is..is your friend sponsoring your Ph.D program? If yes then why will he spend thousands on your education?
I have enough money in my account. I don't just have the cashflow. How about my friend claiming relationship (as a cousin) with me in the letter. Would any proof to substantiate the claim be required?

Thanks @justwise I see your work on Canny thread. Respect bros!

Bros I entered UCH at Ibdn, and I got lists of test of which I may spend up to 20k, so I am leaving for a general hospital tomorrow. The funniest thing about UCH is their result which seems to be late even after test, I did my x-ray in a private hospital @ 4k
You nor need do every test. The test you need to do majorly is Xray to check for TB, General Physical condition - medical fitness determined from the combination of Xray and all the blood test (HIV, Hepatitis). You nor need pass three or four test. Carry the form wey you download go meet them. Otherwise, dem go use your money chop and pay house rent.
