Hmm, just pray for him, the problems you described usually go much deeper than what you know or are capable of understanding. Also, try to have good friends who can help you focus on other things ( and vice versa), and lastly, mind how or what you share in a public capacity, lest your familial enemies use you against the family. Just my two cents, hope you heal by God's grace.
i dont get ur advice. ![]() |
i spent an average of 1-2 hours daily on NL. What about you? |
eddy1977: I respectfully disagree with you poster because the only sin that leads to hell is the sin of rejecting jesus. John 16:8Because you have the grace, you can go about committing sin? because sin is not in your dictionary? |
BukkyDan: hmn...dear dats nt gonna be possible...cos dad doesn't want me n mum,i'm an only child, they'v neen divorced 4 long nw,and dad doesn't care where we are,if we're alive or not,4get dat man jor, he belives a gal child is useless#laffs# m jst 19yrs with no fatherly love, mtchew,i hate to think of him, yoruba men are wicked1. Did your mum/dad remarry? 2. Its not impossible- keep praying for him, since you are the only child, one day he will realize his mistakes and call u back. 3. Call him once in a while (to check on him), visit him occasionally 4. dont let that affect your future relationship with yoruba men 5. Focus on your career& ur life, one day he will run after you when you become GREAT. 6. Hold on to God also, its very important. by the way 7. Not all yoruba men are wicked (you cant conclude based on a single or handful experience you had), there are some good ones out there |
dirtymoney: Reading right inside the church and asking God when would all this bloodshed stop.INSIDE CHURCH ? |

BukkyDan: Hmm...d only time my dad smiles z when my mum collects ha salary...always quarelling,i sometimes imagine whether they are forced to marry each other...funny part is dat,dad always sings in yoruba after a quarell while mum shouts and rants...they divorced now though,i stay with mum,she is my all,d separation didn't affect me much, cos mum pays my fees ryt 4rm tym...uhmmm, u guys should start working on bringing them together. |
joeydozzy: my parents are pretty much how the norm of the marriage in the 80s have been. they believe in culture and valuesUnlike me, i used to go home once in a year and sometimes once in 2 years because of frequent misunderstandings, but now since they are beginning 2 show affection for each other, i go home more often. |

k2039: Relationship: Sour. That was the same lesson i learnt from my experience also. |
For the very first time (im 28 years), i saw my dad kissed my mum yesterday. I grew up to see my parents quarreling and having misunderstanding over little things. The relationship between them has not been that pleasant until recently (even though i dont stay with my parents). I know so many people (families) may be passing through similar situation. Fellow Nairalanders, please share with us the kind of relationship (sour/good/rosy/bad/etc) that exist between your parents (from your observation) and what influence/impact it has on you and also lessons we can learn. |
