frumentius:I know even if its free it doesnt mean you can dowload illigally and share it..... but its not exactly illigal in my country... I mean you can find any small shop selling HD foreign movies for $0.5 dollars and that shop owner pays taxes for his bussiness so the govt knows that its illigal per copyright laws but still looks the other way... So if google will have an issue with me, they let me know.. anyway, am using free internet so sharing the videos is no biggy, its my pleasure |

piperson:when one African (from the biggest black nation)thinks its funny to call another African black..... who is suppoesed to be laughing ![]() |
piperson:Kenya (the country) ia actually named after Mt.Kenya The highest mountainn in kenya and 2nd highest in Africa.... The word Kenya comes from a local language word, Kirinyaga which loosley translates to 'The crest of whitness' since the mountaing has snow on top... some other local labguages also used the word kirinyaa as the name of the mountaing meanng something like "gods resting place", or "the place of god". ....... so Kirinyaga and Kirinyaa eventually became Kinya(white mans pronaunsiation) which eventualy became Kenya. |
Henry240:I got mine off a torrent site.. since as you said most of these docu are public and are not sold (atleast nt to the public directly) I could create a gmail and upload on google drive under different name on zipped files with a passwd and share the link and all you'l have to do is click the link to download to your PC... |
andrewza:Thats for the police and prison service officers..... so you should be comparing with RSA police police not SANDF (the 1st article i posted is for police and the 2nd one is for KDF ) |
frumentius:Dude!!!!! I downloaded episode 3 (flipping the switch).... damn that shit is real man! Not like those recreated scenes done in hollywood....they dont only show you the good parts where they are kicking ass , even the ugly side is shown..You feel like you were right there with them, they show you everything, I couldnt believe they lost a mechanic just like that, I thought he was gonna make it....... Anyway, they should not filter the explicit language (or atleast the should have two versions of the episodes)..... Fu€K and $hit and matherfucker is like normal when taking fire, and cencering is like removing the chorus to a song |
Patchesagain:KDF too has its own internal insuarance scheme, but from 2015, they outsourced to a Kenyan based insuarer. Outsourcing to a Ptivately managed company has its advantages, in that the govt pays a fixed negotiated and calculated amout on behalf of all the troops, while each individual officer still contributes the same fixture..... so the amount of cover that the government pays cannever increase since the burden of covering the actual cost is passed down to the insuarer, so if only 2k soldier seek medical then the insuarer profits from the fixed amount paid by govt, but if 200k seek treatement then the insurer will foot aditional bill....... Compared to an internal insuarance scheme, If there is a huge number that seek treatment that costs more than the cumulative total that they have contributed, the same institution still has to foot the bill.... and these kinds of inauarance are prone to inefficiencies and bearocracy, (atleast in our country), private insuarances have a standard, they are efficient and faster in dealing with a patient... This would have taken years to pay if it was KDF/govt itself compensating/covering the life insuarence scheme., it would have taken years b4 the families of fallen heros recieved compensation... Posted Sunday, May 29 2016 at 14:53 Reports that the families of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops killed by Al Shabaab terrorists in El-Adde. Somalia, in January will receive Sh341 million as compensation is a welcome development. The financial compensation will go a long way in helping heal the families of our fallen soldiers who died gallantly while defending their countrymen. Kenya has about 4,000 troops in the 22,000-strong African Union force that is battling Al-Shabaab in Somalia. Jubilee Insurance, which is the main cover provider for KDF personnel, should also be commended for the timely pay-out. By promptly releasing the compensation, the firm has also helped build the industry’s name in a country where the number of insured is still very low in comparison to the total population. It is our view that such compensation should be sustained so as to enable the relatives of our troops move on comfortably without financial hurdles, given that most of these soldiers are normally the main providers of material sustenance to their kin. The insurance company’s personal accident policy covers KDF soldiers for accidental death or disablement.http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Opinion-and-Analysis/Timely-compensation-for-KDF-heroes-welcome/539548-3223920-10g111g/index.html |
Now any police from lowest to most senior rank rank can walk to any hospital he choses to with his entire family, http://www.nation.co.ke/news/Police-officers-finally-get-enhanced-medical-cover/1056-3401852-12e0qjo/index.html Police and prison officers, their spouses and children will receive free health care after the government procured a medical insurance for them. The comprehensive cover will be provided by AAR as the lead insurer and four other companies. AON is the administrator of the new scheme. The cover became effective Saturday and officers are required to register with AAR to enjoy the benefits. The lowest ranked officer, a constable, is insured at Sh150,000 for outpatient and Sh1.5 million for inpatient every year. On the other hand the highest ranked officer is insured at Sh500,000 for outpatient and Sh5 million for inpatient. The new scheme will cover a 107,000-strong workforce from the National Police Service and the Kenya Prisons Service....... ... An official conversant with the new cover described it as “superior”, compared to the old one administered by National Hospital Insurance Fund. Unlike the old one, officers will be free to seek treatment from any hospital within the country including top private hospital. Officers from the rank of Constable to Senior Assistant Inspector-General, in the old cover, were limited to visiting selected health facilities, with a bias to government-owned ones. BETTER DEAL Only high ranking officers were allowed to access top hospitals but were, however, restricted to Sh800,000 cover for inpatient treatment. The scheme is in addition to the Sh1.7 billion life insurance cover that was unveiled two years ago. The deal is a big relief to police because a majority of them could not afford decent medical care. It comes seven years late because it was envisioned in the Ransley report, the police reforms blueprint that was adopted by the government in 2009. ----- 1$ = 100 ksh .. |

Henry240:Yeah DenniFidha ...be trying to comment for like 4 days NL kept telling me to wait for 'a few hours' to post... Finally gave up waiting and created new account... Kenya too has that in housing in the cities, its either burglarproof windows or a fenced electric wall. They may be conducting the two things on different places, (breaking down doors, windows with explosives and entering)- so that they dont have to reconstruct the whole house after every excercise , the PSO Amani village at peace support training center in embakasi barracks where the operation happened is an expansive compound where soldiers train for/under different scenarios/environments you find in Africa, especially focussed around peace-keeping missions, but also works for counter terrorism exercises

africaken254:There were alot of activities going on but unfortunately the media or the army dint show us.. If I had my way, by now there would have been a 40min HD docu of hardcore stuff that went down.... A lot of exercises centered around rapid response and hostage rescue scenarios that can/has happened in Kenya... from open ground, built up areas, mud-hut villages, planes (I tried to refine some pics, i dont know if I made it worse but thats the best quality from screen grabs from different 2-3minute news videos) A

jakeporeshenko:The terorrist sympathyzer TinFoil was talking about Kenya Police air-wing division and not KDF, these are two completely different institutions where-as The police chopper was brand new when it crashed (And BTW the chopper came with its own technicians from Italy who were to service it for 3 months b4 handing over to police technicians ---it crashed b4 end of 3 months cause of 'technical' problems )... The KDF Super Puma that crashed came to service in 1977..... its has served for 40years, and they came from Royal Airforce, so they have probably be in service for longer than that. And BTW Kenya Army air calvary has: 39 MD 500 (500M, 500MD,500MD/TOW) utility/light attack helos in service ( this is minus two which 1 is out of service and 1 crashed) 8 Harbin Z9WE light attack/utility helicopter (this is Minus one lost in OLN in Somalia in 2011-12) Kenya airforce has: 6 IAR 330 helos (That is Minus 3 in storage) 2 Mil Mi -17 I/E 10 SA330 Super Puma (they were 14 in 1977, the 4 others including the one that crashed the other day have either been put in storage or crashed over the course of the 40 years they have been in KAF) That makes KDF have a total of 65 Helos, thats not 'a few' by subsaharan Africa standards, For an army of less than 30K personnel and a budget of $1.2 Billion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHP6tgD1s_8 |
