lezznjr:I see having multiple user accounts is starting to confuse you, you dont remember who you told what, you just all over the place ![]() |
lezznjr:BTW, i cant help but notice that Nigeria the self declaired "giant of africa" is missing from the list of members who have paid their dues in full, why is that? isnt the oil market doing you so good, hahahaha, unbilievable, A $500b economy with a gdp/capita of $3,000 still lags so behing in human development index you would think they are one of the poorest country Did you know that other countries use Nigeria as a benchmark what what not to do with oil money and economy in general?? intelectuals in kenya have been known to use phrases like "leets not be like nigeria" ..... You are like what failure looks like even after getting lots of income from oil...........You are more like the joke of Africa |
lezznjr:Once again, you type faster than your mind can think... then now you you want escape on technicalities between pledge and promise.hahahaha.... kenya never backs down in its international obligations, when we say we will do, it will happen, I can give you plenty of examples that kenya has voluntarily given million of dollars to countries in need, which when accumulated is more than what kenya contributes to AU, money given to malawi, sieraleone, even haiti And then you laugh at kenyas GDP, those maggots between your ears must really be rotten, The biggest economy in Africa 96% of allvits exports are oil and it does not even have proper functioning refineries... with all the GDP/capita, more kenyans go to school, have better hospitals, do banking, do formal retailing, get better security relatively........... So whats the point of having all that oil money when you cant get your house in order Nigeria is the joke of Africa, you bribg down the whole of Africa ... you guys need some prayers. https://unitedhumanists.com/2016/01/12/nigeria-with-70-living-in-poverty-unveils-largest-jesus-statue-in-africa/ |

africaken254:Hey, have you been following whats going on in ethiopia? and the rumours that some ethiopian soldiers are taking sides,,, all the way to the ones in Somalia.... If its true then it would be a really bad development... In other unrelated news, have you watched season 2 of the BBC tv series 'Our Girl'. (you dont realy need to watch Sn1). Its like Eye in the sky in that they perpet to show alshabaab running active military camps inside kenya, but atleast inthis series they give some ofthe credit to kenyan forces, they dont make you(the viewer from kenya) feel disrespected all the time when watching the movie.... speaking of brits: pic brits training with kdf
|
lezznjr:OMG, see, hahaha, I knew it! your internal connection is really missing so vital components.... damn! you should be a study case somewhere man,, you can make alot of money... Anyway,, perhaps your brain critical thinking isnt optimal you a guy like you to extract logic from someone's argument/conversation.... I talked about priorities of different African countries to the AU..... then on the subject of Kenya i talked about kenya contributing the most to the UN as an example....... So any sane person would connect those two by logic --- That if kenya is not on the top 10 list of contributors to AU but is number one to the UN, then maybe indeed it is about PRIORITY of different african countries to the AU like i talked about, beause last year AU needed a budget of $500mn which it failed to collect from Africa, guess what? Kenya single handedly contributed approximately that amount to the UN...... so are you getting the point or the logic here why I mention UN and priorities of different countries does that make sence to you or is it too simple thats its just too complicated for your brain power? If you still dont get the whole priority thing, here is another proof, Kenya contributed $5 million dollars to the global fund to fight Maparia and aids in africa, if am not mistaken, thats actually more than what kenya contributes to AU http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/news/2016-08-26_Kenya_Leads_the_Way_in_Africa_with_a_Pledge_of_USD_5_million_to_the_Global_Fund/ So do you get it when i say priority? Anyway, speaking of those 5 african countries that sustain AU funding, Kenya is not on top 5 economies in Africa, And non of those contributors are outside the top 5, in case you dint know, there is a formular in AU on who is supposed to pay what based on economy, anyone can contribute more than what they are required to as minimun, but like i said, its all abot priority... the top 5 contributors Are all mineral rich countries, so its a no brainer This was a new formular proposed last yeat, the previous one was similar to this but hard the mineral rich countries contribute more Sixty per cent of the budget would be paid for in equal shares by countries with economies that represented above 4% of Africa’s total Gross Domestic Product (GDP); 25% of the budget would be paid for equally by countries with shares between 1% and 4% of the total African GDP; and 15% of the budget would be equally shared by countries with shares of less than 1% each of Africa’s GDP. That meant six countries – Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria and South Africa – would be in the first tier, so would each pay 10% of member states’ share of the AU budget. The next 12 countries – Cameroon, the Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda and Zambia – would each pay about 2.08% of the budget, and the remaining 36 member states would each pay about 0.4% of the budget. |
lezznjr:Dude,, Hi, 1st of all, i couldnt help but observe that something is seriously wrong with your (you and your friend DriveByKiller ) heads, you should really get that checked out... 1st evidence is the fact that you have to bold out all your paragraphs as if you are screeming and shouting so everyone can read your comments because they pop out than the rest of yhe comments.... what are you compensating, you dint have to bold all your paragraphs, if you make a compelling argument, your comments will stand out without having to change their format... 2nd thing, why do all your replies have to have demeaning and insulting words ![]() ? you know I havnt read a scientific research about it, but i am pretty sure there is a study about people who instead of arguing about the topic bieng discussed, they start by attacking the opponent as some form of defencive mechanism , it somehow makes them feel superior or feel better about themselves..3rd thing, next time you argue with someone make sure you do your research, I dont know if you are just purely trolling or you actually think what you are saying about kenya is true.... If you just trolling then good for you, but if you thing you are taking facts on the ground, then please do your reasearch.... for E.g. Kenya pais all its international bodies every june, If there are any delays then its mostly out of internal logistical or priority of the kenyan government, but never because there is no money.....Kenya has never been unable to pay its AU dues for more than two years.. .... Other than the anual membership fee kenya also pais additional fees to some of the organizations voluntarily....e.g a recent report released by UN this month showed that Kenya contributes more money to the UN than any other african country and its not even in top 5 riches countries in africa.... So when you say things like kenya cant pay fir its membership to AU, the jokes really on you And whats this you are saying about geopolitical stability in Africa mainly brought by AU, , maybe during those times when Africa was getting rid of colonialism during the times of OAU,,,, but in this century AU is one big joke... I mean we stood by and watched AU biggest funder gaddafi get striked by NATO, Somalia was lest in ruins for 20years, and even after AU throwing its hat around Amisom, saddly 90% is funded by outside money mainly from EU, the african standbyforce has taken 2 decades still not ready, oh dont get started on the conflicts in central Africa that have been going on since independence...... and the country that is HQ to AU has just massacared 500 protestors and guess what? no african head of state has condemed anything...... AU is nothing but a body of status quo, nothing new, no progress. |

Yaay!!! Germany and France hint at lifting travel advisories to the tourist resort city of lamu The kidnapping of two british tourists from lamu in 2011 which was preceeded by kidnapping of a french aid worker at the dadaab refugee camp which mostly home to somalis fleeing decades of war, was the breaking point that led to kenya having to send troops to somalia after years of not wanting to get its hands dirty by using proxies to keep alshabaab away.. sending boots on the ground was against the advice of both US and UK but thats a story for another day..... http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/mobile/article/2000125658/how-kidnap-of-british-couple-in-lamu-triggered-kdf-invasion-of-somalia So you can see the symbolism if travel advisories were to be lifted from a tourists town just a few hundred meters from somali on the beach side ----- Germany Envoy To Kenya Jutta Frasch Has Praised Kenya’s Security Efforts Saying The Country Is Now Safe. The envoy while visiting Kenya’s old tourist attraction, Fort Jesus Museum said the country is safe and foreign tourists visiting should not worry about insecurity while visiting the Kenya’s old town. Frasch said her government has been engaged by Kenya in a number of bilateral agreements including police training and advisory. The Germany envoy took time to salute the Kenyan government and all the security agents for their ultimate resolve to fight terrorism. He noted several gains already made with quite a number of extremist returnees having been helped to start their lives afresh after denouncing the Somali-based terrorist group, Al-Shabaab. Corresponding sentiments have been echoed by France deputy envoy to Kenya Kim Ramoneda saying Kenya is now safer. Ramoneda noted that Kenya’s security has drastically improved saying they are working on lifting travel ban on Lamu. In May 2014, France, UK, Australia and the U.S. had issued non-essential travel advisories to some parts of Kenya following terror attacks by Al-Shabaab. Ramoneda said that France is working to lift the travel advisory for Lamu saying security had taken a U-turn and hoping it will get better. She also stressed on the need for Kenya to partner with other developed nations in solving security problems noting that France has trained over 700 Kenyan soldiers in the last two years already deployed in Somalia to battle Al-Shabaab.http://intelligencebriefs.com/germany-france-envoys-praise-kenyas-security-efforts/ |
africaken254:I usually laugh when journerlist reporting on security say the poachers, bandits, robbers were using 'sofisticated' weapons!! ... and i'm like what is these sofisticated weapons these jounerlists repeatedly keep mentioning, is it like a laser weapon system that can aquire multiple targets at the same time or something like thar |
africaken254:unfortunately i dont see that happening anytime soon since everything goes through our useless parliament, remember just last june when the budget was read and KDF were given an additional $200mn for 'modernization' one MP later sujjested he would bring a motion to slash that $200m and convert it to the school feeding program which was alocated $40mn. I dont know if he was bieng noble or just looking for popularity, but from his explanation, he completely clearly did not understand the gravity of the security situation especially in north east ..... and areas along the border and how this was negatively affecting all of kenya... |
africaken254:I was actually taking those kind of snaps where you point your phone's camera in that direction then pretend you just holding it when your fingure is on the screen taking snaps (you gotta make sure the flash is off first), but when the convoy started moving and the car came closer I put my phone away (i was like what a pv$$y! ) |
ActivateKruger:Kenya is also erecting a wall with electric fence on top and trenches plus observation stations although it might take lnger with budget contrans.... but the Somali govt is campagning against it in the international community accusing kenya of infringing them http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2016/04/27/kenya-begin-erecting-wall-along-somali-border-keep-al-shabaab/ |
naijalander:By all measurements and creteria, based on you population, economy, it is your rightful place, by all factors, you should be there already.... But dont think that other nations are sleeping waiting for you take your place in the community of nations, Countries like Kenya, Ethiopia, even Tanzania are also emerging and punchin above their wight in 20 years time these countries will be where nigerias GDP is, only the population will be way less, meaning they will have more to spend on every individual |
members of the recently formed Long Range Surveillance unit at Liboi military camp... Liboi is right at the edge between kenya-Somali border... (I see a grenade launcher and also a war service dog in the field, africaken254 you once wondered why service dogs were never used in the field.. 3rd pic shows the current state of Kenya Somali border, separated by a mere old fence!

I just saw GSU recce squad members get inside (ok only 1 of them got outside briefly, the rest of them were inside the truck the whole time) a car part of a convoy escorting SA president in kenya, they were all wearing ops-CORE fast helmets...OMG they looked so cool and on point it was just breathtaking, whoever designed that helmet, mad respect |
NairobiWalker:Considering a Kenyan was Force commender in both Liberia and sieraleone missions (peacekeeping missions) Kenya also contributed 320 doctors and nurses during the resent ebola outbrake, in addition to giving $1million dollars. From where kenya is, Liberia is on the other side of the continent, and we took risks in sending 320 doctors and nurses, but you dont see kenyans standing on top of roofs claiming giants

This is gotta be a record. 2 months of back to back joint military training exercize with US,Jordan, now brits
|
naijalander:those statistics are compared in ratio not absolute numbers, for example on death rate kenya has death rate of 7:1000 while ngeria has 15.12:1000, in other words in 2014, 0.7% of the population of kenyans died while 1.5% of the population on nigerians died (it does not matter how big your population is 1.5 is still greater than 0.7, if you had grater lives than kenya you would have less than 0.7 dieing of various causes)...if you want to get the actual number of those that died you take the % number and mutiply by the population |

naijalander:Kenyan govt hospitals are subsidized, when calculated, a patient pais for 32% (things like blood test,x-rays, dialisis) of the medical bill (services like wound treatment, caugh, TB, ARV for Aids, malaria, are free of charge) besides that pregnant mothers dont pay for any medical treatement or check up during the course of her pregnancy, and children get free treatment for any medical treatment until they reach the age of 5 if Nigeria had better hospitals you wouldnt be ranking lower on this things considering you spend more in healthcare than kenya... kenya on the left compared to nigeria in the right, especially on the highlighted points that cover health

Kenya and Namibia also use saab's command and control, training and simulation (C2TS) ?? Saab Grintek Defence (SGD) has grown steadily to become a major player in the South African defence industry. The Swedish company’s involvement in South Africa largely came about through the country’s acquisition of the Gripen fighter in 1999, and now the company has around 700 employees at several locations, and a healthy order book. Many of those orders are for overseas customers, notably in India. Germany and Brazil are also purchasing SGD products, and the company’s sales are growing in the Middle East region. In July the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with India’s Tata Power Strategic Engineering Division as part of the “Make in India” initiative. The companies will develop technologies such as self-protection systems for land vehicles. SGD’s key product lines involve electronic warfare equipment, including integrated defensive aids suites for tactical aircraft and helicopters. SGD’s Cape Town facility also produces signals intelligence equipment for submarines. Command, control and communications systems, and sensor technology, are also important to SGD’s activities. South Africa also forms an important base from which Saab markets its entire portfolio throughout Africa. The company’s Centurion campus, close to the AAD site, includes a capability development centre, and many of the company’s solutions are available for demonstration throughout the year, including during AAD week. A focus for SGD is promoting its command and control, training and simulation (C2TS) capabilities for African customers and beyond. Already the new product area is active in Kenya and Namibia, and it is pursuing other opportunities. The company highlights its ability to collaborate closely with the customer, and its ability to innovate new technology with a rapid response to requirements. Projects can be devised, financed and completed within a year, representing a major difference from more traditional defence procurement programmes. Security is an important and growing business sector for Saab in Africa. Its SAFE (situational awareness for enhanced security) solution is a mission-critical integrated command, control and communications system that can be applied to various security environments. The system is in use with South Africa’s police force, and also with several in the UK. A related system is TactiCall, a VoIP system that integrates data and voice communications. The South African Navy is a recent customer for this system. Saab also provides support for the British Army’s training activities in Kenya. From its office in that country the company has also provided third-party maintenance support to United Nations operations in Mogadishu, Somalia. Since 2010, Saab Kenya has maintained a wide range of vehicles – both armoured and soft-skinned – and watercraft used for peacekeeping. The contract has just been extended for another two years, with activities also expanded to cover areas beyond Mogadishu. Formerly the CEO of SGD, Magnus Lewis-Olsson now heads the Europe, Middle East and Africa market area. As well as opportunities in defence, he sees a number of products that are “right for the African market”. Among them is the Maritime Security Aircraft, based on the Saab 340 regional airliner. “It’s ideal for protecting offshore oil and for countering piracy. It’s an affordable solution, and there’s a lot of life left in the aircraft – around 40 years.” The aircraft is being targeted at the oil-rich nations, and also at South Africa, which has requirements for a maritime patrol capability. Border surveillance is another area in which Saab sees opportunity for a variety of its solutions, including both hardware and command and control systems. Security opportunities are growing in countries such as Nigeria.http://www.janes.com/article/63730/a-major-player-in-africa-aad16d1 |
