tdayof:So empty shelves mean KDF were drinking the alchohol.... please... Anyway, I think you meant to reply to Africaken who talked about that alcohol thing..... but anyways since you talked about it....... like any military with internal diciplinary actions were taken to weed out bad eggs .......... “We also went a step further and instituted our own internal inquiry. The inquiry has so far found three of our officers with stolen goods,” he stated. “Two of them have been sacked and jailed while we are still investigating one case in Nakuru through our own internal disciplinary system,” he noted. and all the money from all the banks and safes that were broken into were returned to the respective banks, and non of the banls have complained ever since Col Oguna maintained that contrary to reports that KDF soldiers had vandalised banks and shops within the mall stealing money, they had actually helped several banks secure millions of shillings. The banks were Barclays (Sh68 million), Diamond Trust Bank (Sh65 million), Kenya Commercial Bank (Sh31 million) and CFC Stanbic (Sh32 million). The Millionaires Casino had Sh50million, which was also secured. http://www.nation.co.ke/news/Two-KDF-soldiers-sacked-over-Westgate-looting/1056-2051746-scuskpz/index.html ------ If there was really widespread looting, that money would never have reached its destination Anyway this debate is now getting pointless |
IbnSultaan:Now you have reasulted in hiding behind technicalities..... a whole spec ops team was kicking down doors and shooting on nigerian soil and you are here hiding behind 'they were not leading' seriously.... what happened in that mission is even worse than the incident outside US embassy entrance.... and who said they took over? I have already shown that earlier the kenyan team took there ecidence long b4 the FBI even showed up... i postt the pic again below.. So a president can loose his seat if someone manages to snap a pic of foreign troops raiding a house with assault riffles (whether they were leading the assault or not), just for the sake of the pride and ego of the people... but he cant loose his seat when militants are blowing up pipelines on a serial level running down the economy? maybe this seems amusing to you becuase different countries like ours have come up under different atmospheres...... kenya has not been under any military rule where the govt in charge needs to look firm and in control to gain respect of the people and the army generals...... and this eventually gets in the psyc of the people that a govt must always look firm even when they fail to do their job of protecting citizens....historically most political strugles involved fighting the government itself.... people over hear have no hate for the chinies or the brits or the americans, or the israelis or the russians.... as far as we are concerned we dont really have recentments towards any of them ...... our enemis are internal and local... An FBI helping conduct investigation....not really the worst thing to happen... but alshabaab actively occupied a territory in kenya , now that will make people go crazy ofcourse ppl hate the idea of western domnation on african soil, but most of us hate even more the idea of our own people subjecting each other through corruption and bad governance on our own without foreign help

Henry240:thats just bieng naive.... that wall you see behind them is the first perimeter wall to the US embassy... You also dont see FBI agents in kenya with guns...... When the US embassy in nigeria gets attacked only then can you say that you will never see armed agents at the perimeter wall.... and no FBI agents have been involed in joint ops where they were in some kind of asault using guns... joint investigations have been done before (these joint investigations can lead to a situation where local authorities armed do a raid in some location then the agents would later come in when its all secured to do their thing using fancy equipment). , just like they probably have been done in nigeria...... it is also very likely that fbi/cia run covert missions withoight your knowledge... and their agents most likely carry pistol for protection.... how else will the US be having such kind of infotmation b4 the nigerian govt has http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN0TN29W20151204 there are 4 FBI HQs in africa,..in SA,Egypt,Kenya and Nigeria... just because you dont see em doesnt mean they dont exists..... in kenya that kind of thing of hiding from public eyes wont work... people over hear prefere police to be in charge rather than 'looking in charge', It is the police who sometimes usually anounce that they were unable to conclusively finish a forensic investigation therefore they decided to send samples to FBI or scotland yard for futher analysis... people overhear would rather hear a case was solved rather than excuses from a poorly investigated case Also the DEA has been runing missiins from Nigeria for years
|
Henry240:you mean interpol have never done joint ops with nigerian authorities? Or the nigerian govt has never requested the help of fbi on anything? http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/08/terrorism-u-s-brings-fbi-technical-assistance-support-nigeria/ http://nigeriaworld.com/columnist/laoluakande/082101news.html |
bidexiii:When bin laden conducted his first major attack Against the US in nairobi.. for what happened in m.east..... 200 kenyans died as a result of a building next to the embassy collapsed... what had we done to alqaeda? the only mistake we had was having a US embassy on our soil! we were nothing but collateral damage... So what do you mean when you say kenya should start handling security issues by themselves? Somali collapsed on its own without anyones help.... were you there when piracy was threathening to collapse the shipping import and export industry along the east african coast? were you there when thousands of refugees were crossing the kenyan border on a daily basis? were you there when aid workers at the refugee camp were bieng kidn......... The world is not in black and white, things are never that simple, we are the ones who asked for help.... while the idea of collaborating is up for discussion.... no country should choose its friends out of fear of terrorists... (I guess we should also stop teaching western education in north east nigeria because of the whole BH revolt thing...... on that same note we should also stop using western oil companies to pump oil because of the Avengers revolt thing ). You might as well be asking us to just give in to their ideology....... the western presence is hardly ever felt in kenya, and they are certainly not running anyones show here (if they were then they are diong a very poor job). What kenya needs is a proper comprihensive and innovative way of dealing with radicalisation of its youths... |
africaken254:whoever took the photos dint even know he actually took two at once |
Henry240:thats the entrance to their embassy..... that pavement is part of the land (or its like 1-2meters from the compund) belonging to the US embassy..... 1st on the scene were kenyan detectives, after they did their evidence collection is when the FBI came out.... At this juncture it had already happen, there was no need for recces, besides, the recces have never stayed to hang around once the suspect was neutralised, they always leave imidiatelly and regular cops are left on the scene earlier pic 1 &2- kenyan detectives were on scene pic 3, you can see the two armed guys were there for the protection of the FBI investigators. looking relaxed in the background

ActivateKruger:Most likely they are parmanently based at the US embassy... The US embassy in Nairobi is the largest in africa by the number of staff.. Most of the heads of different ptojects or program in a number of different embassies in countries around east and central Africa usually report back to the embassy in nairobi before the cables are sent back to HQ in US......... the FBI beuro and the security chief at the nairobi embassy covers as head office for a number of countries... But you hardly here anything of them, only high profile cases involving american citizens will you hear of them... and that doesnt happen oftenly

africaken254:I think the SU-27 was a winner... the ethiopians gave the eritreans a thorough beating http://www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1008783 These guys have been at it, men!!! the designers of the su27 and mig29 were probably eating porpcorn, and the factory workers from eachplant were probably betting against each other
|
tdayof:Eritrea gained independence from ethiopia the war fought in 1994.... they are a same people, infact the original eritrean airfoce was made of ethiopian migs...... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eritrean_Air_Force they both rely on russian tech for air superiority, they both have authoritarian regimes hence the multiple defections on both sides, so russia doesnt seem to have a problem with them 'exchanging' every now and then,.... they might as well have joint airforce meetings to discuss who has what as patches689 put it cause its getting ridiculous |
africaken254:Why? I think the ethiopians have the Su27 and the eritreans operate mig 29s. but they have been stealing each others aircraft since the war started so you never know who has what in what quantity anymore |
the articles says.....It is quite unfortunate that the country couldn’t provide security for these women that they had to fight rape by themselves. Whi died and gave this writter the moral authority to write such a thing ? How many people are kidnapped (most of whome are women) everyday in nigeria... half of the kidnapped end up sexually assauletd one way or the other.... just imagin all the women kidnapped by BH,....You cant really arrest someone for bieng a 'potantial rapist'.... even 1st world countries with best security cannot provide enough security to prevent a person from bieng raped.... The best they can do is arrest the perpetrator but in most times the raping would have already happen.....Thats why those wimen are taking charge, they are learning to defend themselves, because in all rape senarios, those women dont really need to neutralize their attackers , all the need is just a few seconds to disable there attackers who are probably stronger than them just to give them enough time to run away or call for help........... This is how women should stand up for themsleves, they shouldnt be victimes of men all the time..... even kim kardashian could have been raped in paris that tme she was tied up in her own hotel by robbers...France is a first world country and kim has personal bodygurads but still she was tied on her room for several minutes... imagin what can happen in an empty dark coner for an old lady ... and then the writter goes like...'oh its unfortunate that the country couldnt provide security for these women' ...my foot

In kenya cripples, pregnant mothers and anyone carrying a less than 1 year old baby who is not accompanied by anyone in the bank get direct access straight to the teller.... Albino's also get free suncreen from government... Even the government of kenya is currently working on a new curriculum for schools which among other things , will introduce sign language to every school going kid so that in the next generation, people with hearing impairement will have normal interaction with other people because everyone (hearing or deaf) will know sign language........... But progressive news like these will never get front page here in nairaland.... people want to see wiered news only The government will introduce teaching and learning of sign language in schools, Cabinet Secretary for Education Jacob Kaimenyi has said. Kaimenyi said that the move was in line with providing inclusive education and would enable school going children to communicate with people having hearing impairment. The CS made the remarks during the Kenya Commercial Bank Foundation scholarship award ceremony held at a Nairobi hotel. KCB Board Director and Foundation Chairperson, Catherine Kola, said that the foundation had identified special needs education as a priority, hence the decision to include learners with various types of impairment. She added that the scholarships would cater for tuition, uniforms and co-textbooks. The Bank has provided full scholarship to some 240 students who sat KCPE last year, with 40 being those with disabilities. The ceremony was attended by the Executive Director of the National Council for Persons with Disability Mohammed H. Gabbow and the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya 's Chairperson, W. Kristina Kenyatta Pratt, among others. http://allafrica.com/stories/201502231830.html |
Its becoming too comon, nigerians and ethiopians illegal immigrants in kenya... someone needs to up theire family planning methods.. Nairobi, Kenya: Some 114 illegal immigrants were Wednesday night arrested in Ruaraka area, Nairobi in an operation by police. The men and women drawn from various countries including Nigeria and Ethiopia had been in separate apartments in Allsops area when police who had been tipped off arrived in lorries. They were all arrested for being in Kenya illegally. Starehe OCPD Alice Kimeli said they were verifying the aliens’ documents before they take them to court for being in the country illegally. “We are looking into their documents before we take further action on them,” she said. She added there had been a complaint that some of the immigrants are involved in crime, which is under investigation. Police say the operation against the immigrants is ongoing in the city and asked those who are here illegally to register with authorities. The incident is the latest in a series by police. Wednesday, 23 Ethiopians were arrested from a house in Kahawa West for being in the country illegally. Most of those arrested come here to seek for jobs or are on transit.http://www.standardmedia.co.ke/mobile/article/2000194430/114-illegal-immigrants-from-various-countries-arrested-in-police-operation-in-nairobi |
lol. that comment, 'quite a few rude nigerians live along woodavenue, could you pls care to investigate' so if a nigerian is not rude, he must be hiding something...... this is how nigerians are viewed? they have to be rude |
DriveByKiller:haha... first I quoted you long time ago, 2nd we know who you are, you reply just like your other account anyway... You reply is one of the dummest and most uniformed, go check your facts first then come back, I wont argue with someone with a 14 year old brain, who thinks just because he cab write something them it becomes a fact.... you have more poor people than the entire population of kenya, Kenya has a population 6 times lesd the size of nigeria yet our dollar millionares 3/4 the ones from nigeria..... And what power has nigeria ever projected that kenya hasnt? educate us please And BTW Kenya is a small country with a small GDP so it cant be expected to outerform Nigeria which is a big country but with a bigger gdp..... look at all those countries you mentiones, they will all have a higher GDP/capita,... Nigeria has a higher gdp/capita than kenya, so in a perfect world, for every coin that kenya spends on education, healthcare, electricity for every citizen nigeria is supposed to outspenf kenya for each citizen..... but unexpectadely, kenya perfoms more efficiently...... So whats the point of declairing yourself a giant or even caring to project power when you perform poorly on most basic things, who is going to respect you in the community of nations, you cant advise anyone about defence,health,education.... |

In all measure of Human development Nigeria with a GDP of $500 and per capita 0f $3000 gets trumped by Kenya with a GDP of $61B and a per capita of $2,500......... From Kenyas perspective, Nigeria looking like a failed nation. The fact that a country like Kenya mocks Nigeria is in itself so humiliating, From the difference in sizes of economies so huge, it shouldnt even be imaginable to dare compare the two countries, but sadly Kenya ranks higher in access to school and education, electricity, financial inclusion, health care, security, citizen welfare and general living standards.... And then Nigeria still has the audacity of claiming to be the giant of Africa?? get back in your lane, you still have a long way to catch up with literacy rates of 61% data posted on this website is sourced from worldbank , cia factbook.....some is outdated buy its relative in that they post the numbers on the same year on both sides

lezznjr:Did you justask someone not to use Youtube as a source ? hahahahaha urh you are worse than I thought.... There is a swahili saying.... "Asiyekubali kushindwa si mshindani" (Ask google to translate it for you)... You are those online types that will bent over backwords and have your head so far up your *$#@, willing to be a retard, hypocryte..whatever just so you can deny the truth...Youtube is a video sharing site, its not a source it cannever be a source, the source is in the contents of the videos shared, and to a large extent the person or organization that uploaded the video.. even the most reliable sources post videos of there finding s in Youtube... So the fact that you whent as much as asking people not to use youtube just showns how DEMENTED you are. From how you act online, you truly must be the only single person from your village that went to school, years of bieng the only schooled guy in the village have really messed up your internal wiring |
lezznjr:A few reality checks here for Kenya fast rising stature, 1. Kenyas access to electricity as of June 2016 stood at 60% of the population, with the Last Mile connectivity project after the launching of the worlds largest single geothermal power plant the power utility plans to reach 70% by next year ... And unlike Nigerias electricity, Kenya's is not unstable, there is minimum interruption, so its not a matter of shouting 'we have electricity!!!!' its actually dependable http://kenyanwallstreet.com/electricity-access-rate-in-kenya-now-at-a-record-60 before I go to number two, there seem to be signs that you like, the first person from your villlage to go to school, I dont know, I just have a feeling.... 2. Maybe you have been living under a rock but Mobile banking is actually the new kid in the block, Internet banking has been there since the days of Amazon, ebay>> paypal,Visa what ever..... Mobile banking (Mobile payment) is actually the future of payment (do your research).. And kenya is leading the way.... And what do you mean when you say people still carrieng money in the SIM cards please dont make me laugh... You clearly dont understand how it works... With mobile banking, the money can either be in a virtual account at the central bank or it can actually be in a bank account(A real bank).. but instead of having to go online, or to a bank...you actually can securely make encrypted transaction using any phone without using internet..in a supermarket, in a bank, in a bus or airline booking office. To understand why its the future watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9_6G8J6VJg Speaking of banking, There is actually a bigger % of Kenyans who have actual bank accounts than Nigeria.... Infact Kenya comes 3rd in Africa After South Africa and mauritius, at 56% of the population... 3. Nigerias poor is 45%. Your economic situation has deteriorated since then so you cant be telling me that you have moved from to 33% ..... And do you realise even if it were true that you have 33% poor, that would mean you still have more poor people than the whole population of Kenya, the poor in nigeria will be 1,3 times the population of Kenya And Nigerias middle class is only 11% of the population http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/05/world/africa/nigeria-goes-to-the-mall.html?_r=0 https://www.nairaland.com/2658056/understanding-nigerias-high-poverty-rate While Kenya might have a 40% poverty rate, its middleclass is 44.9% of the population ... http://www.theeastafrican.co.ke/news/2558-1167238-yfenqc/index.html you know what that means Kenya actually has more middleclass than the giant of Africa both in terms of percentage and in absolute numbers..... And if you had a higher middle class, how is it that your literacy rates are so low?? You mean even the middleclass in nigeria cant afford to go to school![]() ? what a joke this giant is....On the slum thing, Kenyans know for a fact that our slums are not the biggest, its just a perception created by NGOs to get more money, its is physical and scientifically impossible for the amount of people living in an area like kibera to be what aid organization say.. just take the total area of kibera and divide by the quoted population and see how many would fit if 5 people lived in a 1 sq-ft area, 3/4 wont fit, i have done it before http://www.nation.co.ke/news/Kibera-numbers-fail-to-add-up/1056-1003404-lma0qz/index.html BTW did you know that 'small' Kenya overtook South Africa as the biggest investor in the continent interms of projects, although SA still leads in the amount of capital invested, its only a matter of few years before fast rising Kenya overtakes them as Africas largest investor in the continent.. In 2015 SA invested $2Billion in different countries in Africa while Kenya invested $1.2B. http://buzzsouthafrica.com/kenya-trumps-sa-emerges-africas-biggest-investor/ Kenya is actually punching way above her weight, with only a $65B economy(which is one of the most diversidied economies in Africa), Imagin how much clout Kenya will have when it gets to just $300B. African populations that have bank accounts

? How many people are kidnapped (most of whome are women) everyday in nigeria... half of the kidnapped end up sexually assauletd one way or the other.... just imagin all the women kidnapped by BH,....
