SamuelAnyawu: RIP Gallant men. The Civilians who they abducted alongside these servicemen where slaughtered and their bodies returned by ISWAP back to the point they were abducted. They kept the servicemen for their media propaganda.
I really pray your family would be compensated with all your financial entitlements and you would not be declared as Missing in Action (MIA)
RIP Gallant servicemen. you have paid the supreme price for us all to live in peace. My 100% respect to you both. Did you call those men gallant? A soldier and a policeman could not wrestle those terrorists. Except they are more than 5, I will fight them and get killed, rather than kneel down like that. Why kneel down to get shot? Smh. There are few 'men' in today's world. |

There is no super power, but there is a Power. And that is Nigeria. Do you remember these pics ?

-SA in Southern Africa -Nigeria in WA -Egypt in NA Don't be so fast bro. There is only 1 power in Africa. That is Nigeria. South Africa cannot defeat Zimbabwe in a full blown land war. Egypt has a damaged military reputation. They cannot be called a power. No argument please. Only Nigeria is left |

There's something I like about Germany, they are so resilient and always dominant albeit quietly.a lot of those american researchers have German ancestry.though the industrial revolution started in england,Germany overtook them and became no 1 in Europe.at a point,Otto von Bismarck was Like the world leader.even when Germany was not united and fragmented into smaller states like Bavaria and Prussia, it was still strong enough to defeat France. After undergoing, two world wars, they still quickly rose to become no 1 economy in Europe.France and Britain are overrated.Germany can still start another war if they want.so dominant in sports, tourism, medicals, immigrations. They managed the corona situation better than england,Italy,France,Spain meanwhile they have the highest number of foreigners You are one of the few enlightened fellows here. |

I come to conclusion that selfish interest is disturbing Egypt. Correct. And they have never represented Africa. They play Arab politics in the global scene. But aside that, they are great people. |

GeneralFarouq: It seem lke these guys don do serious meeting, Everytime we think they are dying, they comeback crazier... This is just 'desperation' on their part. They also want to be seen as 'attacking' and killing. At this point, it is obvious that their end is near. All the military needs to do is gather more intel and pound them day & night. More pounding brings more confusion, frustration, exasperation, hopelessness and finally, surrender. Currently, the army is at the frustration stage |

Nigeria is not Egypt's mate in anything. Electricity, water for citizens, infrastructure, domestic football league, military, industrialisation, manufacturing, etc. Egypt is ahead. U can Google. Many Nigerians don't know much about other African countries. They think Nigeria is ahead of all African countries. Nigeria does not have water and electricity for her citizens. It is too common and such a shame.
Ngozi is a brand on her own and it has nothing to do with Nigeria. She will win even if she is from Congo Quiet. We were talking about international politics. Read your post I quoted, you trash talking loudmouth. Its not about water & light. You said Egypt is among the global power block. Read your own post anc stop shifting. Egypt is a boy to Nigeria. Their standing in Africa is smaller, get that into your brain. WTO & AU ignored Egypt. So, you should be ashamed of your inferior self |

I only replied a comment of someone who was talking down on Egypt and I presented facts. I stated it clearly that Ngozi is a force on her own. It is not about Nigeria, it is her. Her identity and class is above everyone else in Africa diplomatically. Quiet, you were hyping Egypt as ahead of Nigeria in everything. |

bidexiii: In another development BHT attacked Villagers numbering over 70 have been killed by men suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents on Tuesday afternoon in Borno state.
"It is the most deadly attack in recent times. They accused the villages of spying on them before touching every household, leaving the village in ruins as locals who managed to escape the onslaught returned in tears with their loved one soaked in blood. The location of the village made rescue mission a bit difficult,” a witness said. - Many houses and properties were burnt down to ruins as terrorists invaded Faduma Koloram village. Killed many cows in hundreds and also rustled nearly 1000 cows says some sources. What were those people still doing in their villages? In hot zone Borno state. Please no one should blame the army. Blame the mumu people. The army needs to continue its attack, not to stand defending villages. |

jpphilips: You have spoken like a Child, Nigeria lost Bakassi but retained a deeper continental shelf, & a broader EEZ, there is no proven oil reserve of commercial quantity in the Peninsula so to what end are we fighting over a stretch of land into the ocean?
The greentree agreement requires the people are not evicted, sadly, Cameroon breached that agreement else those guys would've settled peacefully.
Speaking of military occupation by Abacha, that's an irresponsible reference point. Abacha's strong man posture was no match for France in a proxy war, a nuclear power and a permanent UNSC member means France will win both militarily & diplomatically. I laughed hard when you claimed nobody will fight for Cameroon, that's a very ignorant statement.
Cameroon in1961 did not sign any declaration of independence but pacté coloniele agreement in it France has offer of first refusal on all Cameroonian EEZ in exchange for security. The only thing France needed was for Total SA to prove the Peninsula had oil in commercial quantity, in partnership with Porenco in 1993, the Seismic report was not impressive. Under French advisory, Cameroon took the legal route.
If the Seismic data of that peninsular turned out positive, one French Amphibious operation will re-unite all Abacha soldiers with their creators, according to British intelligence at the time, France had no plans of occupying Bakassi alone but deep into cross river state down to Odukpani in the north, then occupy deep into the Atlantic ocean in the South.
The reason is to make it difficult for Nigeria to launch a reprisal, that will force Nigeria to go the diplomatic route and France with her veto at the UNSC will own cross river state forever. Such was the tragedy OBJ averted. There was no front of that war Nigeria would've won. This scenario would've played out again if OBJ didn't hand over, France will act under the pretext of enforcing intl law.
The precarious position Nigeria was at the time can not be compared with Israel from the 6 days war to the Yom-kippor war. This is largely because Israel at the time won those countries militarily before occupying their lands, diplomatically, Britain & US had Israel's back at the UNSC. Conversely, Abacha was a diplomatic mess, from 1995 was under Commonwealth sanctions, UN was already preparing an embargo before his fortunante demise, consequently, you don't think Abacha will win France militarily in a proxy war. The situations were different for Israel & Nigeria, nothing to compare.
Speaking of Israel, 38yrs after the Camp david accord of 1978 which moulded Egypt into a formidable military might, Israel lost the military advantage or at best was in a position where a military offensive with Egypt has become costly, quickly handed over the Sainai to Egypt.
Dont think for once Israel will occupy Golan heights if Syria was a formidable force with Russian diplomatic backing.
See the nonsense you wrote to justify cowardise. Lol. "One French amphibious operation will unite Nigerian troops with their ancestors". France to "occupy deep into Calabar" and Nigeria will not launch a counter-offensive. Israel holds on to foreign lands while Nigeria is forced out of its own land, and Israel is justified. Lol. You didn't tell us ''why Cameroun took the legal route''. They did after they suffered heavy casualty at the hands of Nigerian troops. Nigerian army launched an attack 24km deep into Cameroun and wasted thousands of their troops watching football match. Their reprisal was met with longe range artillery from Nigerian army and naval attacks. It became clear to them that they stood no chance in war with Nigeria. If Nigeria did not hanover, what would France have done? Attack Nigeria? You are dumb. Nigerian troops occupied 3 out of 4 stretches of the Bakassi. Fully defended by military positions and air defences. France would lose thousands of lives to attack and remove Nigerian troops from their positions on the 3 occupied islands. Not worth it for France and their business interest in Nigeria. And regardless of French support, Nigeria would annihilate Cameroun. In fact, we would annex Cameroun within 1month. President Paul Biya knew that. Nigerian army would overrun Cameroun in any war. Their entire army was just less than 10,000 troops then. France or no France, Cameroun cannot fight Nigeria. So stop defending cowardise. France or no France, Nations don't surrender their lands. Stop being a coward. This kind of 'surrender mentality' of fear is prevalent in 'that side'. Stop it. Vietnam fought France and expelled them from their land. Almighty US came to France's aid, yet Vietnam fought and pounded them. If Vietnanese had your mentality, they ''stood no chance''. Cowardise and fear are endemic in your genetic makeup. This is well known. Your entire thinking is based on fear. Stop it. Stop being a coward. Stop justifying surrendering your land for fear of France. No nation does that. |

S400: you missed a word from the French Defence Attaché " “The standard for international flights is that you have to go to the next international airport , and the next one is Kano. " , international , not all airport can receive big planes like the antonov 124
if you have more time , check only international airports where a big plane like an antonov 124 can land , i have cheked the closest Maroua-Salak camerounian airport for exemple , in 2014 it wasn't an international airport , the extension of the airstrip for big plane was done later .
and think about this , why france if they wanted to attack nigeria or harm you, would use a russian aircraft , from a russian company (from logo on the tail its the 224th flying brigade affiliatedto russian defense ) , with russian crews ?? , it seems logical for you ? My friend, I can't help you and i have no obligation to convince you. France was arming boko haram and that period was the peak of boko haram. From your pic, the closest Intl airport to Ndjamena is in Cameroun as I said earlier. The next is Zinder airport in Niger republic. Why did your map not show Zinder airport? Also the Abeche airport in Chad can handle that plane. Arming boko haram to fight Nigeria and yet landing covert arms in same Nigeria, does that make any sense to you. The Antonov carries sufficient fuel to even return to CAR, so why get caught in Kano !! And why are you so rigid in argument over something you can never know Case closed.
