modath:Well if oyegun is dancing to a particular beat then the drummer can be none other but Atiku. The truth is there is a serious power contention between Atiku and tinubu within the APC. Party chieftains are already planning for 2019. Nobody knows whether buhari will contest or not. And from all clear indications, buhari might not contest. Atiku is already building his base. Tinubu is being strategic and at the same time planning. Saraki wants to take his own pound of flesh. Elrufai is indecisive while fashola is hoping and praying. Oyegun belongs to the Atiku camp, etc. Me and you are just pawns and at the end of the day, politicians will always remain politicians. Oh well, have a nice day ahead |
modath:Tinubu is one person I respect so much but this oyegun problem is beginning to make me loose some respect for him. Nobody is saying that tinubu isn't a kingmaker. Of course he made so many people what they are today. Some people will forever be grateful to him while some will just thank him and want to move on with their lives. Tinubu is a kind of person that wants you to lick his toes forever just because he believe he made you. A problem he had with fashola, same problem he is having with osinbajo and the same problem he will have with ambode. There are just so many problems associated with trying to be the overall godfather in a party that housed people like atiku, oyegun, buhari, fashola and even saraki. Every one of them knows were his influences starts and were it ends and this is what tinubu doesn't understand. Tinubu wants to dictate to everybody and not 'everybody' will tolerate that. And how can you even justify tinubu's recent actions in a party he helped to built? Was tinubu being fair when he commanded oyegun to resign? Is it fair for tinubu to be dictating to everybody? Why won't he allow the party chairman to run the affairs of the party? Maybe you can accuse me of being sentimental if oyegun was a northerner like myself, but fortunately he is not. I'm just against impunity and I will speak out against impunity not minding the tribe or religion of the person in question. Btw tanko yakassai is one shady character I don't take serious. He was part of shagari's corrupt government. Go and check the man's record, he is anti-buhari and pro-whatever nonsense that comes into his head. Nobody takes people like him any serious btw. |
QuotaSystem:Of course that's what they will want you to believe which is entirely lies. What happened was, tinubu brought his candidate for the governorship election, he never wanted the party to run it's primary election as the party traditions demands, he just wanted the party to give his candidate an automatic ticket without any contention or opposition from anybody. When oyegun didn't buy into that impunity, tinubu began to unleash all sorts of tantrums on oyegun{the party chairman}. Even the vice president wasn't happy with tinubu's attitude but Mr lord over{tinubu} doesn't want to have any of it. In his foolish dictionary, his candidate MUST just be given the ticket without any form of opposition. Mr president's attention was even drawn that he had to talk to both parties{oyegun and tinubu} to settle their little misunderstanding, but Mr lord-over didn't want to have any of that. He just must teach oyegun a very hard lesson that he shouldn't never disrespect the boss. It was when all these dramas were going on that Atiku had to step in. Of course he bought off the delegates that were supposed to participate in the voting process, and that's how the ondo governor candidate was produced. The fact still remains that tinubu lost the battle but the man don't want to move on. This was the same stupid thing he did to buhari when the ministers were about to be nominated. And am so glad that buhari didn't allow himself to be someone else's puppet. Tinubu should seriously watch it because fashola as far as am concerned is currently more influential than him both in the country and outside the country. |
QuotaSystem:Tinubu should be the person that should accord respect to the chairman of the party. Who the hell did he think he is? Why will he want to imposed his candidate on the party? Seriously people should stop giving too much importance to tinubu. He NEVER made buhari the president, the north central did. He sat his ass down in Lagos and was ordering the national chairman of the party to resign. To resign on the basics of what? If tinubu doesn't respect himself by stop meddling too much in the chairman's business, believe you me, whatever disgrace he gets, he asked for it. And if he is not comfortable with how oyegun runs the party, he should go and float a new party. No body likes people with overbearing attitude. At some point you just get sick and tired of them. Tinubu is NO hulk Hogan and nobody 'fears' him
|
I like obasanjo for some reasons. The man cleared our debt and he ran the nation very well even when oil was sold below $50 pb. Good president he was. |
BeeBeeOoh:FG dropping saraki's charges doesn't necessary mean new charges against him won't be brought up. And you know dasuki's crimes can't be compared with saraki's forgery case. The former's crimes carries more weight than the latter. Dasuki isn't only charge for corruption, but treason/felony is among his numerous crimes against the state. Saraki should be a saint when compared to dasuki |
TheFreeOne:And why do you think people are protesting against that dumb-ass governor? The president made a terrible mistake by passing that vote of confidence on the man and this is one mistake the president needs to correct ASAP. I hope he listens to words of wisdom by doing away with that confused CBN governor. The naira will continue to have a free fall as long as the CBN keeps dishing out unfavorable policies. Look at how his dumb 14% monetary policy caused so many people to loss their jobs. Exchange rate should even be a topic for another day. Besides this present CBN governor has the lowest performance index rating among all the former CBN governors. |
If dasuki should be released even by mistake by this admission, then buhari will lose whatever support I still have for him. The lives that were lost because of dasuki's greediness are even enough to haunt anybody that dares to release that evil man |
If I were to be in abuja or anywhere close to there, I would've definitely join the protesters. Let's face the fact, that CBN governor is highly incompetent, confused etc. He should resign ASAP. His recklessness is out of this world. How can anybody explain his forex policy? His stupid rules against commercial banks? Look at how the guy 'destroyed' the naira because of his dumb-skull. Smh |
Aufbauh:Seconded

Buhari is currently the best president Nigeria have ever produced. Keep up the good work Mr president. And may God continue to be with you. |
Good. Lawlessness shouldn't be welcomed in any sane society. The Shiites have constituted themselves as nuisance in Kaduna state. Good one from the ever hardworking governor of Kaduna state. The Shiite sect should be ban in Nigeria |
Good. Dividend of democracy been delivered right there. |

Me after hearing this 'good' news. Anyway PDP shouldn't forget that they are dead and already buried. NO to corruption, NO to PDP
|
Congrats to them and I hope they will defend their nation with their lives. And I will also want to call on the NDA hierarchy to make admission more easier for the less privileged ones, because admission into the academy of recent has become only for the rich kids which shouldn't be so |
Congrats to her. |
ucsparks:Yeah dig a grave and bury yourself if you detest my comments |
Is a good thing the girl didn't sell her body for that money like most of her pears would've gladly done. I can see the legislator has already invited the girl to the NA. I hope he don't intend to get his money out of the girl's body because those legislators are something else. |
MayorofLagos:My friend will you shut up for once and stop dishing out stupid trash everywhere. Funny. You southwesterners can worship tinubu for all the north cares, but he shouldn't forget, he doesn't have any influence in the north. Obasanjo even have more influence than that tinubu as far as any northerner is concern. Now you are foolishly talking about 'taking' NC{middle belt as you guys call it} from the north, but in all honesty, can you or your tinubu define the middlebelt? Do you know who and who made up the north central? Nigeria's biggest Political heavyweights and godfathers like IBB, TY danjuma, Yakubu Gowon, Abdulsalam etc are from the so-called middlebelt. Now tell me, who is your tinubu when these heavyweights are mentioned? I have come to realized that you southwesterners give too much importance to tinubu. How many votes did the so-called tinubu gave buhari in the last election? It was almost a 50/50 thing between buhari and Jonathan when the results were counted in Lagos. And this lie that have been flying around that tinubu made buhari the president should stop. Buhari became the president because of the votes he got from the north central. They made him president and yet they don't disturb everybody the way you southwesterners are doing. The north is impenetrable. And if your tinubu pushes his luck, he will be cut down to size. I know he is wise and he knows were his political influence stops |
vengertime:Tinubu should simply respect himself. And if he does this, nobody will disrespect him as you claimed. Was he{tinubu} respecting himself when he asked oyegun to resign on the pages of newspaper? |
SamuelAnyawu:The next time he tries even by mistake to stand against 'tyrannical orders' believe you me, he will be beaten black and blue by the security agencies. He was lucky yesterday that the order to arrest that corrupt judge wasn't from the president. Had it been the orders were from the president, this thuggish governor could have gotten himself shot by a happy trigger DSS official |
From bribing corrupt judges to rule a judgment for you, to inviting thugs to harass DSS officials who were carrying out their official duty. This thuggish governor, your days are numbered |
People are just making a mountain out of a molehill as far as this tinubu saga is concern. The two people at loggerhead with one another is tinubu and oyegun. If I want to define them by their region I will say south south vs southwest. So I still don't know why political infants are painting this saga as a 'tinubu vs buhari' or north vs southwest fight. I will never support impunity in whatever form and that's why tinubu's call for oyegun resignation will never be supported by party loyalists. If tinubu have some kind of disagreement with oyegun over the coming ondo election, what is expected of him was to have a private talk with oyegun to see how they could settle the problem amicably. Running directly to the pages of newspapers to call for oyegun's resignation was simply silly. Oyegun whether tinubu like it or not is a heavyweight in APC, he have his own loyalists, he is a power broker in the APC. So I don't see how tinubu will want to dictate to such a person. And again what I clearly observe with this tinubu brouhaha is that nobody is talking about the real issue that caused all the little drama in APC, rather mischievous elements have turned the entire drama to ridicule tinubu by reminding him about how they warned him about forming so sort of unholy alliance with the north. And the last time I checked, upcoming ondo election caused the disagreements, and Mr oyegun is not from the north. So I still don't understand. |
Pennywise:This was what I expected the DSS should have done a long time ago. I don't know why they ignored that very important part |
Duru009:Ok this comment right here is funny. |
Good. Corrupt judges should have no place in the judiciary. And the other one that called thugs to defend him against the government operatives, we will see if he is that untouchable in the coming days |
Politics 101 or what should I even call this claptrap of a writeup. Funny lads. So tinubu is now the Alfa and omega of a party that 'belongs' to him right? Alliance was formed, yes. Everybody worked for the party and not tinubu alone as many of you will want everyone to believe. Without the block votes from the north, buhari won't be president. The north gave buhari 70% of the votes that made him president. Tinubu might be some kind of demigod among the south westerners or wherever he thinks he is a mini-god, but his influences and excesses should stop at the corridor of south west politics. Who do he think he is? You wake up one morning and you arrogantly tell your party chairman to resign because you are who? Julius Caesar? Alexander the great? Oyegun is not even from the north and I'm so happy that people are standing up for him. If tinubu wants a party he can control, he can go form another one for all I care. What nonsense. And calling middlebelt, northern minorities etc to form some 'unrealistic alliance' is the high of silliness. When you want to insult the north, you don't remember middlebelt, northern minorities, etc rather you join all of them to insult them. Now because you think it might favor you, you now then remember that the north have different classes. Confused set of people |
First you are not a member of the ruling party, so a dunderhead like you should learn to always mind his business. You are Yoruba first; so bloody what? Being Yoruba first or any other tribe don't warrant anybody to dictate to a party. Yeah tinubu is a Yoruba spearhead and I respect him alot. But dictating to a party because he thinks he made somebody a president is what will not be accepted from anybody. And if he pushes his luck too much, his 'influences' in the party will be summarily cut down. |
You didn't bomb boko haram when they were so strong, it is now that they have been defeated that you want to bomb them and take the glory of 'defeating boko haram'. The US should better face ISIL in Syria and allow the Nigeria military to continue their good work in the northeast |
Nigeria's problem started in 1966 when some misguidedly junior officers took out the political leaders of one region and left theirs; here is were all Nigeria's problem began. Things were actually moving fine in our six years of achieving nationhood. Then all of a sudden, regionalism was destroyed, mutual trust was discarded, brotherliness was assassinated, and the most important one; our economy began to suffer. Anyway we still hope and pray for a better Nigeria. A Nigeria of our dreams. A Nigeria were people won't cry about not having shoes anymore. We pray and we hope for things to get better for good |
In all honesty and sincerity, the first coup did Nigeria a serious damage. It destroyed the political and economic fabric laid down by the founding fathers. And without the 1st coup there wouldn't have been the 2nd or 3rd coup, so Mr yakassai should always get his priorities right before he tries to prioritize Nigerians with half truths. The TSA he is criticizing have absolutely nothing to do with Nigeria's current predicament{recession}. In fact the TSA have kind of minimized the effect of recession that Nigerians could've felt. Nigeria fell into the hole of recession because of the fall in the price of oil{our major export earner} and corruption also played a major significant role in pushing the country into recession. It is one ball game to say TSA pushed us into recession and it is also another ball game not to mention oil/corruption. Btw who is even Mallam tanko yakassai? Is he not the same person that was serving in the corrupt shagari administration? This man should better go and sleep, he is old. He seriously need to stop talking trash because history will always remember him as someone that played a major role in strangulating Nigeria at her youthful age. |
