Guys please I need a suggestion on how this can be done. I want my Phonegap application to load a webpage containg random ads in the background and as soon as its done loading, a child browser pops up showing the ads. I don't want the child browser to pop up when when the page has not completely loaded.

Try using Scrapbook Firefox addon or search for a similar addon. It will download the whole page including images added from css.

After my 8th app, I learnt to outsource UI work

Wrong. Maths or advanced Maths is important if you want to specialize where it's needed. Alot of programs don't require maths

Depending on what aspect of the software industry you are interested in and the logic of your application, you may actually not need more than secondary school maths.
But it's best to understand some areas in maths, they always come in handy when troubleshooting tricky problems.
For me, as a graphics programmer, I had to learn algebra, trig, set, calculus, matrices, linear algebra, complex number and quats. Ultimately, you don't learn them just because you need them, but in order to understand their relationships with the practical world and make useful deductions from that.

I agree with you, but I'm talking from experience. I believe you read about it when you need it. Just like an api documentation. You read about the class you need when you need it and not just read all at once

.... Until a bug shows up and folks at stackoverflow start prescribing pills that need advanced knowledge of the language to swallow or they simply boo you back to study. It is better to have a sound grasp of the language and implement as you go. You can't just learn the functional part of C++ and start programming a full software! Maybe you can do that with other languages (Python, Javascript). Trust me, you don't want to try that with C or C++, especially when it comes to pointers.
