Hi guys, Between being a nurse in the Uk and joining the British army, which is best for a woman? Salary, pecks and privileges to be considered first. My brother in-law relocated with his children from Belgium to the Uk after the death of his wife in 2020, usually my wife was used to shuttling Nigeria to Belgium and later Nigeria to Uk to help out one way or the other but later we decided she stays permanently in the Uk to make it easier for herself and her brother as he is finding it difficult to cope with the kids alone. Mind you they are all British citizens. She filled papers for me and the kids to join her which was refused over a flimsy excuse, we filled for an appeal which took more than one year to be heard, we won the appeal in September 2021 and it’s been 6 months now since we won the appeal but we are yet to be contacted by the visa section. Pls experts in the house, what could be the reason for the delay? Is there someone with similar experience? When are we likely to be contacted? And what should I do about it? Thanks as I await your response.

Matured advice only, A friend of mine who happens to be my neighbor is having difficulties deciding what to do. Her husband who is a business man told her he is traveling to Abuja and when she inquired to know why he is traveling he refused to tell her, he bought flight ticket and left their home to Abuja and my friend dropped him off at the airport thinking maybe when he gets there, he will tell him why he travelled. Few hrs after the man arrived my friend called and was hearing women’s voice in the bar ground, when she insisted on whom he went to see, oga ended the call, she called back and oga picked but refused to talk. Maters excalated and a man picked the call and tried to explain to madam that nothing was happening and that a man shouldn’t be telling a wife abt his every move. My friend rushed and reported his husband behavior to his elder sister who he listens to and when his sister called, he explained to her that he went for business. But my friends anger is why will her husband not tell her why he is traveling. The next morning oga called and still tried to claim he was right but amidst the conversation and before they could resolve the issue the call dropped, and he never called back, it’s been 3 days now and he has not called my friend neither has my friend called him back. She needs your urgent advice on how to pass a massage to her husband that what he did is not acceptable. Was oga right with what he did? Is my friend over reacting? Note my friend is a house wife and depends on husbands monthly allowance to feed. Married folks pls advice her as I am not married and don’t know what to tell her. She will read your comments. i am no teenager, I am 50 and she is 27, I block her atimes to avoid her writing stinker to me but usually she finds a way to call me the next day but this time around she provoked me and I blocked her from all channels and it’s been 8 days now. I expect her to call me via normal phone call before I unblock her but she is yet to call. If I unblock her just like that it will repeat next time.

Pls sir..what just happened is just way too much on your side..I understand that women have their excesses but u could have humbly pick the call to show her what u are doing at that moment and end the call thereafter...even though I know u aren't a saint but having know that your wife has trust issues,u could have show her what u were doing and that u were gonna call her back after u are done...women too are not fools..pls just unblock your wife and settle with her..this happens normally in marriages but pls a week of blocking her is way too much..embrace your wife bro

Honest opinions guys, my wife traveled to Belgium before the pandemic to stay with his elder brother who just lost his wife, at least to help take care of his kids until the wife is buried. SHe has been there for 5 months now because of the boarder closure, the only way we communicate is via watsap calls and Facebook messenger, one week ago she called me on video call and I refused to take her calls because I was doing a transaction with my phone at that time but I didn’t tell her my reason for rejecting her video calls, I just kept rejecting the calls, next thing she called audio and when I picked she started saying all sorts and accused me of cheating, she wrote all sorts to me and when I was typing to reply her she blocked me, after few hours she unblocked me but then I blocked her back, she called on messenger and I blocked her there too. I Blocked her from my two Whatsap’s and my Facebook as well. The only way she can reach me is via international call but she is yet to call and I have left her blocked for one week now. Am I doing the right thing? What massage could I be passing along to her with my actions? I just need a way to make her stop accusing me of cheating all the time.

If you are relatively OK where you and the kids are, still remain there, tell your parents to give you more time to pray over it(moving back), don't go back yet, don't file for a divorce yet. Some people have stayed much more longer, and came back as brand new couples otherwise, allow the union to die a natural death, it is only a Monster that will allow his wife and innocent children sleep on the road, no matter what the woman did.

thanks for ur advice but I need to divorce him so dat he can be made to contribute for the children's upkeep, since I left him till now he has never called to knw how d kids are fairing not to talk of contributing to their upkeep. I would advice you to get a divorce. You don't have a healthy relationship, secondly the man clearly doesn't care about you. The marriage doesn't look like it will ever be functional. Ask your self if your life and happiness matters more than what people think... At the end of the day, you are the one miserable in the marriage not them. Why would you go back to a man who physically abuses you when you can raise your kids on your own and live on your own? Do you have a job? Are you financially okay? If yes, then why would you go back? What if he beats you one day and you lose consciousness and die? Thirdly, he behaves as if he has moved on, probably has a serious relationship(s) with another female. I would advice you to move on for your own good. I know this is a bad saying but I don't believe marriage is a do or die especially when there is violence involved. Your life and well being should be priority. Good luck!
