A 30-year-old Kenyan businessman identified as Stephen Wachira returned home from selling potatoes in Magumu trading centre, Kinangop, Nyandarua County.

After the stressful sales day, the man decided to have some drinks later at night with some youths.
The team, indulging in an illicit brew, had an alcohol drinking competition to which Stephen took part and even came out victorious.

He headed home at the end of the alcohol night, but didn’t know it was his last night to be around the same group of youths.

On Wednesday morning, he was found dead, supposedly dead from alcohol intoxication.
Witnesses said the deceased, who appeared healthy before the incident, was intoxicated after the competition. They say the man didn’t have a history of ‘excessive’ alcohol ingestion prior to that night. Eulogizing the dead, the locals say he had been a major supplier of potatoes to the area.

A senior officer who asked for his named to be withheld, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations had been launched.
The body of the deceased was taken to Naivasha Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.

Residents from the area also complained that dangerous drinking game and drug abuse have become a menace essentially because they are cheap. They called on the government to take action.
Much in the same way, a man died hours after winning an alcohol drinking contest in Kamuli district, Eastern Uganda in the early hours of Sunday.

The body of the deceased was found on Sunday, the next day, but medical reports suggest he died few hours after winning the drinking competition the previous night.

The body of the 48-year-old man was seen lying by the roadside close to where the drinking bout took place, NTV Uganda says.

His main rival, Justin Gatlin of the United States, the 2004 Olympic champion who later served a suspension for doping and was booed on Sunday, took the silver medal in 9.89 seconds. Andre de Grasse of Canada won the bronze in 9.91.

As Bolt approached the finish line , he cast his eyes on the video scoreboard high above , where even he could watch history unfold . Easing off the gas , he smiled and thumped his chest with his right hand and raised his index finger into the air .

It’s not just his speed that’s mind blowing, it’s how easy he makes it look, as evidenced in this photo of him dusting his competitors in the 100M semifinals Sunday.

While the other runners look winded, Bolt is posing for the cameras, a perfectly relaxed, I’m-not-sweating-this smile on his face.

Today’s just got worse for Petr Cech who’s driven his car into a pillar on the car park. Looks a write-off.
After he conceded four goals as Arsenal lost to Liverpool in their first Premier League match of the season.

But when attempting to leave Emirates Stadium, he had an unfortunate collision in his car.

At least 8 persons are dead and several others injured in a blood spilling clash between the indigenes of Akowa in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo state and Hausa people living in the community.

According to reports yesterday, an Hausa man had ran amuck killing two indigenes and equally taking his own life thereafter. This in turn made the residents engage in a reprisal attack leading to the deaths of four others.
