"Why focus ALL your energy 100 percent pursuing the past while your FUTURE is being ruined" ?

Alphaoscar:
You mean government should look the other way while a whopping $2.2b develop wings?

did you ever think how far that money will go in actualizing all those things you want government to divert their attention to?

What if this current administration also divert such money meant for power , housing, health , education etc because nobody will have time to probe them?

Let whoever is found wanting face the music and let's keep sentiment aside.

Rubbish

Without resolving issues of the past, then your future is bleak.

Your history if left uncorrected determines your future

Nigeria needs to defeat public corruption once and for all. That is the most important factor of the failure of this country to achieve its potentials. As of 2009, a Yale Report suggests that since 1960, Nigeria earned $1 trillion from oil revenue out of which $400 billion was misappropriated. That is 40% of the revenue.

We can imagine the % that went into private pockets between 2008-2015. The future generations will never forgive us if we fail to nip it.

The economic hardship Nigerians face today is a result of last minute dollarisation of the country by Jonathan in an effort to win a second term plus a decline in oil prices.

Recovery of some of these loot will help fund the budget and reduce the budget deficit> it will also lay a new foundation for the Nation so that people will know that there are consequences for robbing the country.
I have stopped engaging sycophants online as they are only ranting for a plate of Aisha's rice.
PoliticsRe: Is The $2.2 Billion Arms Deal Fraud Really A Propaganda? by Firefire(m): 10:36am On Jan 14, 2016
This country has lost focus, coming online to defend this government propaganda is a complete waste of one’s precious time.

While I support all manners of probe including the looting across the 36 states of the federation, we MUST not lose focus of good governance.

Nigeria is drifting into a failed nation, and deeper into economic recession. Nigerians disposable income and purchasing power is negatively being impacted.

And the government is gallivanting around the media with probing arms deal.

Why focus ALL your energy 100 percent pursuing the past while your FUTURE is being ruined?

We implore the organs of government responsible for monitoring corrupt practices to please save Nigeria from all the media hullaballoo, pursue the looters without coming on media and only inform Nigerians on the result after proper prosecution.

Why leave the issue of good governance to media promises without any concrete future plan.

I sincerely pray this government succeed, but it is high time we stopped this media caricature.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Shalom!

saints2:
As I embark on a trip to the Federal Secretariat, Lagos office in Alagbon, Ikoyi, many things ran through my mind as, when did we get to this stage as a nation, why is it difficult to maintain our edifice and sustain our buildings? The Lagos in 1976 was a masterpiece to behold, it design still remains a mystery to me as it actually requires a gem to think outside the box. Fast forward, 26 years later, here I am standing on what used to be a masterpiece and envy of the world to what I will call a decay. Ever since the capital has been moved to Abuja, the rot in this place has been massive. It was reported that in 2009, plans were on gear to turn the building to a residential which was stopped by the former Lagos state governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola citing planning permission . Below are the current state of the Federal Secretariat now..

ACN turned APC and stupidity. undecided

Observers said that the position of the Lagos State Government to revert the complex to its original use and the concessionaire’s plan to transform it into homes for more than 480 families amounted to paying lip service, while leaving the 35-year-old investment in ruins.

Going by the calculations of the FG, the premises, upon restructuring, should consist of four, three and two bedroom flats, among others. The Dr. Wale Babalakin-led RIL, which reportedly won the bid for the secretariat with an investment of N7.2 billion had, however, planned its conversion into housing units.

But the plan, which would have accommodated 480 families, did not jell with the Lagos State Government, which opposed the idea of converting an office complex into a residential area. They had obtained a court injunction barring anyone from doing anything with the complex, and up till today, nothing has been done there.

All in the name of playing opposition party, let hope maybe Fashola as the Minister or Works & Housing can CHANGE his evil decision.

Someone does not know what the word 'parasitic' means.

But it's OK. You used to say "GEJ till 2019!" all the time in Q1 2015. So now we all know your words are empty nonsense.

Myopic and parasitic comment.

texazzpete:
I still remember when GEJ was president. Then all you sycophants kept claiming 'corruption did not start with GEJ' and 'power will not be fixed overnight'. Now Buhari is here and you wailers are demanding overnight fixes. Hypocrisy

Nigerians did not vote Buhari in to fix these issues in 7 months. We voted in Buhari for one term of 4 years to fix these issues. Since you didn't vote Buhari, why are you crying after 7 months?

If you claim there has been no change, then it means things are same as when your adored GEJ was in charge. So why then are you complaining?

State of the economy is in chaos, but that is more due to the excess waste under your hero of democracy. Don't worry, President Buhari is fulfilling one of his major campaign promises and prosecuting the crooks. But you don't seem happy about that, you ungrateful whiner!
