No real leader will run a popular Government unless he wants the country to collapse on his watch , economically. No amount of inducement by APC will CHANGE the will of the Almighty in the remaining polls. |

Truckpusher: Laugh o.
Some of these boys that are already calculating their 5000 naira allawee would be so disappointed. Honestly, I wish Buhari's government well and hope he will fulfill all his electoral promises. However, what I know is Nigeria Political landscape can never remain the same again with the many lies and propaganda introduced by ACN turned APC. No one can take Nigerians for granted and think he owns the country and would determine who rule over us. For me and my team: No retreat No surrender. CHANGE is here and CHANGE we shall see after 16 years misrule of AD=>AC=>ACN=> APCTime shall tell. Shalom! |

mikeansy: If you believe that you will believe anything
This is how Buhari won
1. Lopsided voter registration in Buhari stronghold
2. Lopsided PVC registration in Buhari stronghold
3. Lopsided PVC distribution in Buhari stronghold
4. Misrepresentation of the facts using Tinubu's connection with the media
5. Tapping into tribal and religious prejudices of the electorate and Buhari's ethnic population advantage.
To suggest otherwise is just further from the truth and wide off the mark. The voters in rural Hausa Fulani towns are not on social media. The voters in camps in the north east do not have better socia media reach than voters in the South!

idumuose: I want to use this medium to congratulate Goodluck Jonathan,President and C in C federal republic of Nigeria for conceding defeat to Buhari during the just concluded presidential election.
This is a rare display of statesmanship that is very uncommon amongst African politicians who have the common trait of clinging unto power even if their country is burning. For me,jonathan has become the new face of democracy and i will always remain his follower.
Let also use this medium to congratulate the president elect,Muhammadu Buhari.I wish him the very best as he takes us to the next level.
I want to commend all the supporters of Jonathan and Buhari here on nairaland for your doggendness and relentless clamour for a better Nigeria.
Very many thanks to nairaland for giving us the platform to air our views.
Long live Jonathan!
Long live Buhari!
Long live GEJ supporters
Long live Buhari supporters
Long live Nairaland

Politics › Re: Barcanista And The Promise Of Ministerial Aide by Firefire(m): 6:26pm On Apr 01, 2015 |
barcanista: This thread is to address certain issues which I believe are paramount to maintain my reputation.
On a certain day, I was approached by someone to jettison supporting Buhari and switch to Jonathan. The promise of an Aide to a cabinet minister was made. It was a good offer but I rejected it and maintained my support for Buhari. In the spirit of brotherhood I informed Rawani, Berem and some other people. The person that tabled it was a friend and he was even shocked. He had believed APC had been paying me. That was months before my defection. I find it irritating when people like Rawani used it as a basis. Even when I defected, the guy that ade the offer was wondering why I did moved to PDP finally. I told him that it wasn't connected with his offer.
After my defection to PDP, I was offered some stuff by a PDP Representative for my voluntary support to their course, this again I rejected outrightly. Though I maintained my support.
I was also approached by someone who told me the goodies I had missed for defecting to PDP. In fact, he had asked me to immediately retrace my step so as not to miss out on what is prepared for me. He kept on with that because he thought that I should reap from the #Buhari camp after my contributions, all these I declined to his amazement. The week of the election, he still tabled it but I declined.
It becomes shameful for someone like Rawani to assume that I did what I did for so-called Ministerial aide appointment. I know the stuff I'm made of and I don't accept what I don't believe in. If I had wanted to accept the offer I wouldn't have told Rawani or anyone else. I'm not not stupid. I had considered Rawani to be a friend and had lots of conversation with him. It is a shame that he and others will use my sincere words against me.
I would have mentioned names of the people involved but for respect of their privacy and not to drag them into unnecessary controversy, I will rather keep them anonymous.
Let me reiterate that my defection to PDP is unconnected with any offer whether monetary or otherwise.
If Rawani's accusation are truth, may God not grant me any fortune in real life. But if they are false, may God not grant Rawani and all my accusers happiness and fortunes in life.
Those who disagree with me should say amen.... “They dispute not in order to find or even to seek Truth, but for victory, and to appear the more learned and strenuous upholders of a contrary opinion. Such persons should be avoided by all who have not a good breastplate of patience.” - Giordano Bruno |

beloxxi: This was a post made on the facebook page of the President of the federal republic of Nigeria Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by Mr.Amah Williams and it states thus: The Birth of The Father of Modern Nigeria Democracy! General Buhari contested elections three times before now and he lost. Blood were shed on the streets and lives were loss because of those defeats. Goodluck Jonathan had only lost once in an election he could had swayed in his favour, having all the machinery of the Commander-in-Chief at his disposal, yet hours to the official announcements of the final results he conceded victory and congratulated the man who always threw childish tantrum whenever he loses an election. Goodluck Jonathan is undoubtedly THE FATHER OF MODERN NIGERIA DEMOCRACY. He had shamed President Barack Obama and his uncouth Foreign Secretaries who had in more ways and in many fora than one embarrassed and insulted Nigeria on account of his signing of the Anti-Same Sex Marriage Bill into Law. He had shamed BBC, the propaganda mouthpiece of Britain's Life Dictator, Her Imperial Majesty the Queen, and indeed the United Kingdom and all those Nations who wished Africa nothing but ill. He had shamed the OLD and SELFISH crooks of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Babagida, Ahmed Tinubu, and all their cohorts who had over the years been parasites on our collective till. He had shamed Governor Chibuike Amaechi who can NEVER ACHIEVE what Jonathan had accomplished. He had shamed General Buhari and taught him what a true democrat is. I SALUTE you sir. The victory is yours http://www.edge.org.ng/2015/04/the-last-laugh-birth-of-father-of.html Is this not a Political coup? In the history of Africa no sitting president has ever been defeated and conceal defeat Jonathan is a true democratEven OBJ, Tinubu, Buhari & APC can never admit to defeat. OBJ served as military head of states, he also ruled Nigeria for 2 terms of 8 years and still want to serve 3rd term The losers in this election are the Western government (US, UK & Europe) who thought Nigeria will go up in flame and disintegrate. Their evil prediction has failed once again, God is Great. Now Boko Haram will die a natural death, we shall see what becomes of the 250+ Chibok girls, hope we shall see that numbers being released. We wish the President elect good health and hope he fulfill all his campaign promises. God bless Nigeria. Shalom! Firefire! |
