holocron: Whats all this cry about? Nothing is spoilt. Dont men adopt and train sons again? The man should henceforth accept the boy as his adopted son. Its as simple as that.
In cases like this, our indigenous traditions are superior to the white man's ways. Under igbo native law all children born by a man's legal wife belong to him irrespective of biological paternity. And it makes sense because any fruit planted on a farmland automatically belongs to the owner of the land. You cant plant on anothers land and hope to reap what you did not nuture. It's as simple as that until you are wearing the man's shoes. Finding out that everything revolving round your world is a lie is not that simple. Thank God this happened in the UK where he will get proper support. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Medical Doctors, Atheism and Daily Evidence of Failed Prayers. by Firstcitizen: 11:09am On Feb 13, 2017 |
The bible clearly records cases where prayer FAILED. Jesus's desciples tried to pray for a mentally deranged man and failed until he intervened himself. Remember he told them some of the reasons why they failed. There are countless other reasons.
OP I still do not get your point. I am on the same route as well and the only thing I cannot disprove its the power of prayer. Its a great mystery because I have seen the the prayers of members of other religions answered in the face of desperation as well. The tenets of buddhism is used in Psychology and documented to be effective in medical science and medical science is still yet to understand how it works.
OP and Seun. what is your point? |
Politics › Re: A Day At Abuja House, London by Firstcitizen: 8:08am On Feb 13, 2017 |
EgusiSoup: The protesters that protested against Trump's travel ban in the US, were they stupid?
Money is not everything but doing the right thing is everything. British hypocrisy. This is a country that effectively bans nationals of various countries by manipulating the Visa system monthly. A country that has so far refused to take refugees from Syria allocated by the EUROPEAN Union. Don't get deceived by those protests arranged by the global establishment who feel threatened by the failure of their globalisation agenda. Travelling to the US is easee peesee for UK passport holders. Travelling to Nigeria is a nightmare for Nigerian passport holders. No Nigerian passport has been issued since Sept last year in the UK. After spending days of bureaucratic processes at the high commission , you are asked to apply a sheet of paper called travel certificate. You arrive in Nigeria and right there at the airport the harassment begins. You realise that your country has rejected you. Check the US/UK travel scenario and tell me who will be minutely interested in affairs of another country. Buhari will fix these things although he is making a lot of mistakes. We wish him well and have no time for wailing. |

EgusiSoup: Nigerians in the UK should mobilize, get a police permit, relocate to the gate of this so called vacation venue and demand to see the dullard.
Invite CNN to cover the protest let it become a world news and you see the real and hidden truths unfold. Really......and you think we have that time like you guys. Here 24 hrs is too short for a day. Too many things to do. No time for laziness, moaning or wailing. UK Bills are no respecter of persons.....gerrit? |

7Alexander: Sometimes I wonder what goes through the minds of people like this. Really, just because you see a random person (read celebrity) on TV, you now feel they have become or you have become a part of their lives. I see posts here about people 'blasting' celebrities and all, and I wonder how people can be so jobless. You could even feel the passion in his text.
To even think that this was written by a man is cringeworthy.
God knows I will walk past any celebrity on the streets without blinking, I'm not hating, but, I see nothing worth the stress in being consumed in another persons life. You lie. You cannot walk past Lalasticlala and his pet snake without blinking. |

Some people! How can someone be talking about manual in this era of tiptronic automatic transmissions that come with paddle shifts for super driving experience.
An era where you can select your drive mode depending on how you want your suspension, power and engine response.
You can even shift tiptronic transmissions manually if you want and someone is talking about manual. It's like using diode televisions in this era of oled. |

I am a supporter of women equality so I treat them the way I will treat a man. Dem never born the woman or man that will slap me.
