When about 2 or 3 aircrafts were missing, an airport officer phoned the military and told them that civil aviation suspects a missing plane was high jacked and was heading to Washington and asked them to scramble jet bombers. They did that immediately. they did not wait for authorization from the commander in chief or from the chairman joint chiefs of staff. Difficult situations deserve quick thinking.

This is Nigeria and not that documentary you are watching. If you were in the military as a commanding officer in Lagos and on that day the robbers struck festival town you DARE deploy as little as 5 men without AUTHORIZATION from your superiors, by now you'd be in hand cuffs under going interrogation by the DMI. You think the various Army Navy and Airforce commanders in Lagos were FOOLS on the day of that robbery? Do you know better than them? Learn before you criticize oga mi.

Let's be frank, the police can not do everything, now they went through the water, and it's obvious that there is a force that has d responsibility of that, I see no reason why the Navy and airforce shy away their responsibility,..... Sir you obviously don't understand the operational mode of the military. No officer in command of troops would deploy them without authorization from senior commanding officers who in turn must have cleared with their respective Chiefs at Abuja. You want them to be court martialed? You need to understand how coups started in the past to understand that there are tough restrictions on matters like this. Mind you I KNOW what I am saying

It's easy to sit behind your key board and criticize. The air force has no business in this matter. It's a robbery for crying out loud and you expect the military to deploy a battalion or fighter jets'? Do you even know the process and chains of commands instructions must pass through before troops and equipment are deployed for operations? Its not by mere phone calls or screaming for help over the radio. You need to understand all these before apportioning blames. If the police cannot handle a few gun men, then shame on them!

I believe it is the same gang that robbed both the Lekki and Ikorodu. Same Modus Operandi. Its high time Lagos has a ready Anti Robbery Squad that will be armed with sophisticated weapons, fast moving cars and boats. That is the only solution.

It may not be the same gang. It could just be that the trend is catching on. Potential robbers just need to scout around for Banks that are not far from the sea or lagoon and believe me such banks are not in short supply.

It doesn't work that way bro. Military officers have no role to play here and can get into serious trouble with the military high command if found to have dabbled in to purely non military issues. I advise the op to get legal advice. Simple

Banks are very reluctant to accept liability over such matters. Be decisive & dont wait for their investigation. Get your lawyer to petition the banks head office & copy the CBN Dept in charge of banking supervision. That way the heat would be on WEMA

As I type my family friend is in special fraud unit in the island for something he did not commit. All of them working in that particular branch has been suspended. Fraud of 150 million. Not worked in the bank upto a year. That's all I would type before someone decodes.

. Thats 1 of the hazards of banking like in every other sector. When there's a fraud the whole suspected unit is detained @ the SFU pending "further investigations". I hope ur friend pulls thru at d end of it all

Permit me to also align myself with your position. Its my view that next election the voting public should pay a closer attention to the quality of candidates going to the national assembly. We need to vote wisely next time because these crop of lawmakers are just selfserving & care less about "us"

Its not the lawyers advice per say. Most times when conferring with an "accused person" or "suspect" they always insist on their innocence even in the face of overwhelming evidence against them. As a matter of personal policy I shun such criminal matters. The head ache is not worth it
