Johnrake69: Very interesting question I must say, and I will like to correct a wrong notion among average Nigerian with respect to the next of kin and how it relates to your assets, before I address your question based on my little experience in financial services.
Many people confuse next of kin to mean beneficiary. This is incorrect, although, your next of kin can also be your beneficiary. Next of kin is simply the person to reach out to in your absence, and as such, it should be an adult, preferably a close relation. And your beneficiary is the person you are giving the right to take over your assets when you're no more.
Now, back to how it relates to your bank account. The next of kin column you filled in your account opening form has nothing to do with handing over your assets. It's simply a record the bank keeps to reach to someone close when it's been impossible to reach you their client. In the case of your demise, the bank can only release your funds to your beneficiary on the execution of your registered will or in the absence of a will, through a letter of administration to be obtained through the probate office. The later option means the asset will be liable to tax.
Note: this is based on my little experience in the financial services.
The learned fellows in the house can add or correct me if am wrong. absolutely correct. |

gwmlogistic: I had a similar experience with this thieving retards on the same route sometimes back. But I made sure I had the last laugh. As I proceeded to the commissioner of police office after my encounter ( surprisingly I was sitting in his office after an hour of waiting). I laid my complaint and he reacted swiftly by inviting them over, they wia disgraced and humiliated. And locked up for 2weeks. I guess they haven't learnt their lesson. Op do not hesitate to go to the CP's office or the OC SARS at A division. U don't have to know anybody. Also see the Provost Marshal at d State Command and lodge a complaint |

If you want to reduce the number of applicants applying for a vancant job. Just insist it should be send alongside a cover letter (hand written or typed) and you just have to sit, relax and watch graduates goof away.
Once someone starts a chat, text or email using short text, I discard them immediately.
SOME SHORT TEXT THAT CAN MAKE SOME THROW UP:
Jux - because Yels - yes Tho - Though Tof - Tough Con3- country amongst many other silly ones. You're just like me. I don't have the patience for any silly abbreviations. I take it as a sign of unseriousness |

OlujobaSamuel: that's life bro, just have to get used to it, not just NL, although we have so many kids(mentally) here. I got out of my shell to use derogatory words on one that called NIS victims mere propaganda, and I got a 48hrs ban. I'm sorry for using such words on him, but being a witness of the event got me annoyed, but I've to move on. Just comment and share your knowledge, wisdom and understanding of issues anytime you can, not minding what some might say, considering most that benefits. Thanks thanks and I understand your position perfectly. Not just here but on other threads. Sometimes I feel some weird comments are made deliberately to wind us up or cause controversy |

godwinkessi: How do u mean security when the car is tinted and armored? The cars even stay on motorcade and u won't tell me it's for security when we all actually know who's in the car That's why I don't make any comments on naira land. I am giving you the true position of thing and you are arguing with me. Take your argument to the security agencies, not me |
Politics › Re: Why Does Nigerian Politicians Cover Their Car Number Plates? by FirstCounsel(m): 1:33pm On Apr 08, 2016 |
It's for security reasons. Most top government functionaries have multiple plate numbers called security numbers which they alternate in their vehicles so you cannot tell accurately who is in the vehicle. |
