It's not an Eric Chelle Nigeria game if Nigeria doesn't concede. 😑

Alebiosu can't possibly be worse than Osayi-Samuel. Maybe he can debut in this match.

As it stands, Nigeria may become the second team guaranteed qualification to the Round of 16 after Egypt. God abeg let's see this lead to the end or even add more. We've suffered enough.

I'm just praying Tanzania plays well against Uganda and even beats them because if Uganda trash Tanzania, that one go be public confirmation say we play rubbish in the first game. 🥲

Osimhen is better than Nicholas Jackson. Watching the Afcon right now and no way u rank him above Osimhen using any striker metrics
This goes without question. In fact I don't think I've ever seen an argument made to the contrary.

Senegal will become Congo's worst enemies if Congo bottle this game again like they did last time. 😂

Senegal defense has always been their weak point coming into this AFCON, just not as bad as Nigeria.

And DR Congo is fast becoming a problem in African football. I'd rate them above South Africa and Mali right now at least based on current form.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by FiveFootNinja(m): 4:31pm On Dec 27, 2025
Senegal sabi ball abeg. They're not even doing too much gra gra. They just know how to control the pace of the game. Now they've disrupted Congo's rhythm.

Dannyxy:
Tbh super eagles player have been lazy, now I see why other teams walloped minnows in World Cup qualifiers.

The intensity of the other top African teams have gone up, and if our players want to be lazy and not work hard at second balls, mark and run, then they should be going home.

Omoh the intensity of top teams have been crazy, super eagles have the talent, they need to wake up and bring intensity, hardwork and grit, it pure hardwork Drc use to outplay us, and how I see why we suffer, our players must stop being cowards and chickens.

Fight like warriors, they should copy osimhen, only him with Bassey seem to understand intensity, all this soft boy, clowning Iwobi , Chukwueze and innit boys are doing no be am.

I need to talk true , talent dey, but hardwork is like 20%, when you have talent but you’re lazy, an untalented person with 100% hardwork with beat you to anything, that’s super eagles problem, laziness mentally and physically, na why we Dey struggle with Tanzania them, that laziness to second and loose balls dey annoy me pass
💯

Add Lookman to that list of warriors sha. Sometimes he dey press ball like who dem thief him babe. Only issue is his decision making.

I think our path is generally tough. It will be difficult to avoid a quarter final of Senegal, Algeria or DR Congo
Even with all the rubbish we played in the playoffs, DR Congo couldn't finish us off. Even the penalties, if it weren't for our wasteful and nervous takers, we should have won that shootout with the way Nwabali fought to keep us in the game. DR Congo played us with sweat and blood and almost lost to us. I don't fear them one bit.

Egypt has switched off. That Hany guy was a key element of their attack. Him being sent off seems to have destabilized them a bit. There's a lot of time. South Africa might easily pull a strong 2-1 or 3-1 comeback.

How true is this??
This explains why the atmosphere of the Tanzania game felt flat. When it comes to international football, there's a flair Nigerian supporters always bring to the party. I didn't feel that in the Tanzania game.
