Well, I have never heard of the scenario where a dependant presents his own statement and they also requested for that of the main applicant when the funds in your account is in accordance with their prescription as per amount and required days. If there's, I will be open to learn. What I know and read on their website is that it can either be in her account or yours.

Pls my wife have already gotten her visa and was checked into the country yesterday, my bank statement is due and I want to apply as dependent, she used globus bank statement and am using gt bank statement, will ukvi likely going to request for her own bank statement?

I believe the date required is the visa 'end date', which is longer than the course 'end date'.. Would advise you put the visa end date..
Pls note that the IHS fee will be reduced if you put the course end date instead. I still dont know the repercussion of this.

Thanks a lot, I applied from UAE. Yes there is assisted service, I chose self Service though and I already uploaded all required documents. I assume I can be able to use assisted service to upload the letter when I go for my biometric

Still pay for assisted service with that you can put up a letter to correct the error.. You will write to British embassy in Dubai.... More opinions from justice wise and other guru.

Hello guru in the house please I need your suggestion.
Just finished my application and booked for biometrics on 21st.
1. I am a dependent, I just realized I entered a wrong Visa Expiry date ‘15 March 2024’ instead of course end date ‘ 30 Sept 2022, while filling my wife’s information on IHS health surcharge which caused me to pay (my application. Please what can I do to rectify this. So worried right now.

2. I applied from outside Nigeria and I didn’t find option for priority service so I choose standard, any means to change this at biometric center?
Your answers are very critical and valuable pls!!!

The country you're, is there anything like assisted service, whereby you will upload additional document, if there's is, it now means you can write to the British high commissioner depending on the country you're stating the error or mistake you made, this will be done on the day of ur biometric..

Hopefully this will help cos my spouse made a mistake and used assisted service and uploaded a letter to correct the error she made when she was filling her application. She was issued visa.

Please I selected assisted service at TLS just because I wanted a close date. However some of my documents are in soft copy do I have to print it out and then give it to them to scan it again?

Good day to you all. please I have an issue with my VISA. I and my friend applied together on 2nd of September but he already got his collection email on 13th while I haven't gotten mine.

My ordeal: My biometric was on 2nd of Sept, On the 7th of sept, I was called from the bank (FCMB) around 1pm to give consent concerning the British embassy confirming my account statement in which I did. On the same day, I got "non-straightforward" around 3pm. Till now my application is still being received by Dmc.

My concern, the bank I use is FCMB and the account type is Personal Business Account in which I have multiple transactions/ plenty turn over through the 28 days cos I use it a lot for business, but through out, the money never go down below the required money needed as proof of fund for my visa, could this be the reason I got the non-straightforward email? what else do you think could be the problem and what do you advice I do please?

More so, I am changing from the course I did as an undergraduate to something new entirely. could this also be the problem? just thinking out loud...

Cos if I put duration of course program, am seeing 1352 dollars but if I put validity of visa, am seeing 1,620.64 dollars, actual duration of course program is 18 months, visa validity is 2 years, pls which one is correct?

Booking PCR tests with testingforall.org has been ok with me so far.

I landed UK on the 12th, got to my apartment by midnight. On the 13th, by 12, i received my day 2 and day 8 kits. I followed the instructions and took the self swab. I returned it immediately by dropping it in a royal mail box around me (it's free, just drop it in and go).

On the 14th, the next day, i received my day 2 result via email.

Update on private accomodation payment via Form A.

I am thankful my landlord accepted that i quarantine in my accommodation without deposit and without payment yet. I only assured him that international transfers through the bank takes time. He agreed with me on that. Meanwhile i escalated my application for private accomodation with Gtbank on the 9th of September before travelling.


Fresh documents were requested from headquarters lagos, i submitted at area 11 Abuja (someone helped me fill the form actually).

To quickly conclude, i have been sent my telex. 44weeks contract of 2672GBP paid via form A for 1.5m approx.

I was rejected application for private accomodation by numerous banks. It came through finally. If you wish to follow this path, you must get all documents ready. Had to forward my signed contracts on request.

Pls what kind of documents did you submit?

yes, that is the right visa type.

you fill in bank details in "Maintenance" sub section under application section, it is the last part in application section before u are moved to documents.

Is there provision for account number, I saw only bank name...

Pls who used Qatar airways or virgin airways, can you send the cheapest site for booking, departure date 20th September most likely. Thanks in anticipation.

So I’m planning to do my application soon, I understand that if the money was in my parents account I provide sponsorship letter, birth certificate but the money is in my account and my mum is the one sponsoring me… do I still need to add sponsorship letter and the rest? Or i just need my printed bank statement which is in my name?

So far the money is in ur account, you don't need the sponsorship letter.. My opinion though.

I received a mail from UKVI Pretoria about the verification of my bank statement, though it was addressed to the bank not me, however, it didn't show that I was copied in the mail, just sent directly to me. And I don't know if my bank has responded to them. Is this the normal M.O pls?

Try n contact the bank customer to be sure they av responded to the email.

i don't know if SOMEONE IN UK helping me to pay all fees might raise some eyebrows?

My bank also called me whether they should forward my pof details to ukvi as they requested... Urs isn't too far, from 31 till now is just 5 working days... Someone that helped you pay tuition fee won't have any issue.. R u using his account statement for POF?

Has anyone here got his/her visa approved after receiving the infamous NOT STRAIGHTFORWARD email without being interviewed?

In same shoe, when did you receive ur non straight forward email and when did you do ur biometric.. Mine was on 23rd and non straight forward email came on 25th.. Up till now, no call and still at dmc.
