We weren't raped by City home, away and neutral. And in our last match with Chelsea they got lucky.

Never said we were gonna win the league.

I'm just surprised "We had a good Pre-Season" FC and "New Manager, New Era" FC are still being raped by the top 6 teams.

Wait make Europa start. U go soon begin feel the heat...
city didn't rape us to, they got "lucky"..

Losing 3-2 at Stamford bridge against a team who spent fortune on recruits isn't a terrible result bro.

Btw, Fans needa to Stop blaming cos you want someone to blame,

The iwobi that’s one of the most criticised players equalised for us and some fans still can’t appreciate what he did, he played very well today, he didn’t lose the ball, did okay defense wise, assisted and scored, what are the things you actually want?,

mkhitaryan who’s always blamed scored and assisted.

Bellerin didn’t play totally well, but he wasn’t so awful to deserve all this criticism, he was duly involved in all those crosses that came from the right
Cech and our back 4 might have looked nervy while trying to play from the back, but Chelsea didn’t create any chance from winning balls in that area

And we didn’t lose the match cos of Emery’s selections, we didnt lose cos we were trying to play from the back, we lost the match cos aubameyang, mkhitaryan and iwobi missed sitters ,
we lost cos lacazette passed the ball back to the edge of his box in a counter attack

I’m sure if we had scored those sitters, opinions would have been different..

As for me, I blame Auba, he wasn't defending, holding up play in attack, pressing their defence and missed tap ins but gullible fans will shift everything on ozil, xhaka and bellerin..

Forgetting bellerin faced the best wingers( hazard, sane, william, sterling etc)in the league in a space of 7 days without much protection..

The season is long and good results in subsequent matches will calm fans again.

For me, the match only stressed my quest for fast quality dribbling wingers...

That's the only aspect city totally outclassed us at, Mendy and Walker were running at us with ease, no natural witdh player to pin them back..

Mahrez, sane, sterling and Silva showed what attacking wingers does in a team..

Ozil, mhicky and Auba can only fair there, but won't effect the fire at them like natural wingers, I'm glad Emery and fans will come to terms with this...

City weren't that far better than us except in the wing areas...

Gueondozi, that guy unfortunately didn't pair a carzola type of midfielder, Xhaka has no use in Emery's 11,Toreira's pass to Auba was esquisite, and Lichtensteiner is such a gem at his age, he crosses better than our left backs sef.

Hopefully, next game will be better.

Welbeck doesn't score goals but he offers other things. I remember the FA cup finals two seasons ago against Chelsea, he was the reason we won though he didn't score.

People will be surprised how much Emery will use him. He is strong and energetic, qualities that will make him a good pressing agent for Emery's press tactics.
I agree with you, Wenger's ball killed everything in welbeck, (and host of many orther players)

Thruthfully, he isn't the goal scoring type, but he is sure to give you energy, fight, height, defence and help in the press tactics..

Perez might be better technically, but I doubt he has what it takes to fight in the league, he's too one footed, not strong enough, lacks height and ruggedness for English football..

I'm hopeful we will see a better player in welbeck this year, and hopefully sell him at a good price for better winger next summer

now you get it...it's like sending your best men to war, what happens when they get killed?
The end of war and that signals why our season often ends in February.. Fatigue, injury and loss of form will surely set in..

I remembered how Bernardo Silva, gundagon, larporte etc all brought life back for city in the latter stage of the season.

Same with winaldum,Oxlade for Liverpool.

Gareth bale,benzema isco..
Big clubs rotate big players allover, the season is long with about 50 games to play.

Even France at the world cup dropped some big names at home, benched some others ..

So I insist get proper wingers, like 2 quality professionals wingers between now and next season.

Imagine bailey,Coman and mhicky all rotation both flanks, with Auba and laca rotating upfront..

I'll beat my chest we will be in the title race till the last game.

Spy360:
I say play both. Both are genuine goal threats so why bench any since any can play from the sides.

Look at Liverpool, Salah played from the side and yet was scoring in every match. Klopp kept him there with Firmino upfront.

Offcourse there would be times when only ons has to start, especially in big games. But ordinarily both should lead our attack.
I disagree, Salah's best position is on the flanks and firminho has been smtn like a false 9.

Auba and laca are no where near gradeA winger, they are known for goal poaching at the CF position.

Suppose Auba or Laca gets injured or fatigued, who will deputize?
City have far quality players on bench and it works for them.

Let's get a winger, then we rotate the CF position, the season is long and both will have good playing time.

I don't see anything wrong in lacazette chopping bench honestly, even xhaka and Ramsey if he stays
Even If auba goes through goal drought, let him chop bench for laca

Lichtensteiner should bench bellerin

Ramsey and xhaka to the bench abeg.

correct
Honestly bro, see man city making juicy subs against Chelsea today, and you think Chelsea fans won't give up already on the winning the league..

Their fire weapon is too much, they can kill anyone off with their bench alone..

But at arsenal, we want to squeeze all our big names on pitch all at once, leave dead woods on bench and that was why we lacked DM and Wingers till date..

Wenger played center midfielders(carzola,Ramsey, iwobi, on the wings and DM(Arterta,xhaka,elneny)..

Get us proper wingers and we will flourish

City spent large on sterling, sane Silva and mahrez yet some of them still warm the bench.

We are the arsenal, let everyone fight for shirts.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Fkhalifa(m): 6:09pm On Aug 05, 2018
I don't understand why fans want laca and auba play together at all cost...maybe because its been long we have big players in same position...

Football isn't as we see it on papers a times..

I remember how we thought ozil And carzola'together will shake the world,

what happened? Carzola's game dropped, when he was shifted to deeplying midfield and to the wings..

City rotated aguero and Jesus and they both performed fine with no issues

Sane, sterling, Silva and mahrez will all rotate fine..

Why can't we rotate Auba and laca? and get a fast creative classy winger?

I wouldn't mind
(Aubameyang/laca)

(Conan/zaha/dembele/bailey). Ozil(iwobi). Mhiky

In this situation, we have depth for long season to combat fatigue and tactical selection against different teams.

Rather than playing all d big names all at ones and thereafter load the bench with kids and average players for whole year...

City,Madrid, barca,l.pool, psg, juve, etc all have qualities on their bench.

We are Arsenal not Portsmouth, we should be able to afford at least 3 big names on our bench for most games in the season.

That mentality is the reason why after 2 or 3 of our best players gets a Long term injury, our season gets done, begins to crumble and we start struggling for 4th place..

The season is a year long and not a 3 weeks nations cup tournament.

I'm happy to read good news about mustafi, told you guys we should be blaming kosieny instead
I wouldn't blame kosc, he was reported to have sustain an injury worthy of keeping out of football, he only manages coupled with the fact that he is ageing ,wengers bad defending tactics and doesn't have the physical strength required of a Top defender in English football..

I do not want us forget the years of quality service he rendered since 2010..

Nice to read positive things about the new look gunners, now imagine all our players returned and fully fit, that will be e good selection headache we hope for..

I'll be happy if unai eschews all forms of favoritism,as this will give every player opportunity to play smd fight hard for a spot..

It was one of Wenger's undoing, he plays his favorites almost all game and that brought complacency to the rest of the squad members..

I am really sad that Jeff Reine Adelaide has been sold. I had huge hopes for the kid. He is quite talented but I also think we took too long to give him a shot with the first team. I am inclined to believe this is a move he wanted more than anything. I wish him all the best and hope he proves proves himself with Angers.

Get wingers, sound it to Enemy's hearings, We weed a leon Bailey or wilifred zaha..

Barca, city and Liverpool got Malcolm, Mahrex,Xhaqiri despite haven top talents In the position..

I don't want sideways passes, crowding the midfield position and making aimless passes, trying to walk the ball in the net against bus parking teams..

Failure to getting wingers means our football won't be too different from last season with Wenger..

Top teams invest year in year out in that position, check around

We need to attack from both flanks and the midfield.

I share similar sentiments with you about Iwobi because I believe he has regressed and stagnated. He is too predictable with his passing, lacks pace, can’t shoot to save his life but somehow finds himself in scoring opportunities. I have no problems if Emery decides to ship him. It would not be because he did not opportunities rather he failed to take them. He is young and needs to play to improve. Under Emery, everyone has to prove themselves, who knows, that may resurrect his prospect.
which Arsenal player wasn't making predictable passes, excited us with tremendous pace, shoots in front of goal last season. Most fans forget we were so poor, none was outstanding, Monreal and Ramsey were arguably best players, that says a lot about our performance..

I reckon we let emery tutor this boys and play to their strengths, then we can know who should stay or go.

Wenger's style has no room for fast wingers which explains why Walcott and Chambo never made the cuts.

His stylish pattern needed playmakers all over the pitch. Which is fun to watch if you are a neutral or a norminal fan.

I'm not saying he will do a sallah for us,but he will be very effective going forward, our strikers will benefit largely from him and his direct style of play will pin opposition wingers and fullbacks from attacking us.
