The vindictive orangutan will do and say anything to spite the GEJ led FG for placing him where he belongs.

I expect the probe to start with the OBJ's $16Bn power investment with nothing on ground to show for it.

Get rid of Obj and solve 50% of Nigeria's problem.

Fashola remains the biggest fraud of Nigerian democracy. ....... not because he looted the most amounts but the immense propaganda with which he covered his many loots while putting up a saintly front.

And all of a sudden. ..... one cannot pin-point one major capital intensive project Fashola completed in 8yrs despite managing over 6trillion naira.

And you have to give it to the ibos.......

In the SW, a good number of ibos speak youruba
In the North, the blend in to speak hause quite fluently

But there are only a handful of yorubas/ hausas resident in the SE who have even made an attempt learn igbo.

And listening to the words of Ojukwu, you'll know ibos are a unique breed.

Politics › Re: Existing Revenue Sharing Formula Archaic – Senate by Flets: 3:10pm On Aug 17, 2015
Txsharp:
Reviewing the revenue sharing formula is a welcome development, but it will still amount to nothing, if leakages and wastage are not blocked. Nigeria, for too long, has been plagued by greedy politcians who frequently divert public funds into their own pockets, putting themsevles and their families in comfort, and leaving the poor masses in abject poverty. Until this trend is reversed, allocation of revenue/funds will continue to have little or no impact on the citizens.
Forget about greed, human nature is greedy and thrive on faulty systems.

Embrace true federalism. .... that is the way out.

since you get to know what governance is, list the lg Chairman from your lg and councillors from your ward since 2007 and at least 5 things that they have achieved??

lol, those guys are not functional, and they owe lots of salaries 7months plus to local government staff.

it is either, they allow them to run effectively or scrap them. This

its a shame to see a governor renovating a classroom block or even built a new one and calls it achievement.
the classroom that cost 2million to renovate, you will see 10million, 20million.

in Nigeria a governor commissions, borehole that will only last for 6months, before the steal the generator, pipes and pumps.
instead of running an integrated water corporation, that at least should supply constant water in the state capital.

mention one state in Nigeria that can boast of providing water to at least those living in state capital,

Nigeria is a joke, that alone will generate huge IGR for the state
What we have in Nigeria is a bunch of lazy officials who only wait for monthly allocation.

Politics › Re: Existing Revenue Sharing Formula Archaic – Senate by Flets:
The ONLY hope for a sustainable united Nigeria is true federalism.

Let every region harness its resources/ potentials and grow at their paces. Enough of the free allocation from the center that has spurred widespread laziness across the land.

Let governors work to generate funds for their electorate. Its time to engage active minds to attract investments to the various states even if it means lowering tax rates and providing incentives to investors.

No governor will employ his kinsmen to govt when he knows the true challenge of generating the funds to run his state as no free allocation is coming at the end of the month. Governors will immediately prune down their size of government and all inefficiencies will be curtailed.

Its time we mean business in this country and quit jamboree. No progressive country runs the current system of democracy.

How exactly can a state that cannot generate 50million naira IGR get over a billion allocation? .... what exactly makes it a state?

Let the unproductive states merge with their productive neighbours. Let the sustainability of individual state entities determine the number of states in the country.

Why send more than a rep to the centre?, Let the regions determine how many reps they can afford their bills and take care of them.... and not paying from a federal pocket.

Which organisation anywhere in the world would spend over 1 billion naira in salaries when it generates less than 50 million in revenue?

Which democracy anywhere in the world runs this way? Nigeria is a big joke.

Ethnocentrism as we know it today will be relegated as every region will be forced to bring its value to the fore. No more cursing out on other tribes when you know they are integral to the sustainability of your region through commerce and taxes.

It takes governance close to the people, no need always pointing fingers to the FG and president when the governor or regional head is responsible.

Its going to help end violence across the land cos no one actually steals or destroys his own property or that for which he is responsible.

STOP THE FREE ALLOCATION MONEY. Its killing our potential.
Politics › Re: Wahala Dey Ooo! 78.3m Website:-CACOL Replies Fashola, Insists On Allegation by Flets:
fashola is the biggest propaganda fraud of the last 8yrs.

Now lets leave Propaganda aside..... I need someone to outline 3 key things fashola did that points to ingenuity

Lagos state has the highest IGR in the country yet resposnible for over 40% of total national local debts

For a state that generates over 40 billion naira monthly from IGR and allocations, Where are the capital intensive projects embarked upon by fashola's admininstration?

Lagos state is already a commercial hub before fashola became governor.... how did fashola improve the commercial attractivesness of lagos?...What policies aimed at attracting investors was put in place by fashola?

What jobs were created by fashola's govt (dont mention Lastma) and how did his govt support the middle class or SMEs?

fashola fixed few roads in Ikoyi, VI, Ikeja and planted flowers, so did Sullivan Chime of Enugu, Akpabio of Akwaibom, Kwankwaso of Kano, Peter Obi of Anambra.... etc; what makes him stand out?

Increasing tax rates and imposing levies on okada riders, shop owners etc is no ingenuity for raising IGR.... What exactly did he do?

Does deporting Nigerians in Nigeria and dumping them under a bridge in the wee hours of the morning sound like an act of a sound mind?

As a matter of fact, people like fashola should not be allowed anywhere close to this current govt. fashola's understanding of governance only support the elites which is averse to the touted Buhari's govt for the masses.

Fixing an existing road and tolling it is the height of insensitivity..... and the first in Nigeria by a state government. Imagine if every state government follows the fashola template by tolling roads built using tax payer's money or allocation accruing to a state.... we would have about 25 tolls in akwa-ibom, 20 in enugu, 23 in anambra....etc.

fashola and Amaechi led the governors to demand and share the Soverign wealth fund which led to crash of our economy

fashola filed a suit against signing the Freedom of Information Bill in Lagos stateUnfortunately, we Nigerians hardly reason beyond our noses... and that is why propaganda sells

fashola looked like a performer because he took over from a a failed Tinubu under whom Lagos collapsed. The immense fraud under his govt must be probed.
Politics › Re: Imagine A South-west Without Lagos. by Flets: 6:23am On Aug 16, 2015
Flyoruboy:
Lol. Perfect response. If there was no Lagos, that still wouldn't have prevented the South East encroachers/almajiris from flooding Yorubaland. Without Lagos, Ogun would be in its place coz Ogun too has access to the sea, as does Ondo. cheesy.

Even as it stands, according to the last 2006 census, 2 SW states (Lagos [#1] and Oyo [#5]) are in the top 5 most populous states in Nigeria. Ogun (#16), Ondo (#18), and Osun (#19) are in the top 20. The SE positions on the list are as follows: Anambra (#10), Imo (#14), Enugu (#22), Abia (#28), Ebonyi (#34). In other words, 5 SW feature in the top-20 against just 2 from the SE. cheesy

So in a nutshell, with or without Lagos, West will still be the best. cheesy cheesy.
As it stands today.... the population of the SW and north is a liability to the Nigerian state because its still an unproductive and consuming population.

Tell me what how that population have added to that region.

Isreal as a nation boasts of only 7 million people yet a nation to reckon with.
Politics › Re: Imagine A South-west Without Lagos. by Flets: 6:16am On Aug 16, 2015
Imagine if Lagos was never the nation's capital? ...... Lagos would have been like Osun and the entire SW would have been ceeded to Benin Republic

Imagine if a SE state was ever the nation's capital, that region would have competed with Singapore.

Imagine if they allowed true federalism to thrive, the north would have since explored its potential and would have been feeding Africa, the SE would have been the industrial hub of the continent....... not sure what would have become of the SW

Unfortunately, we have to live with the fraud called Nigeria for the SHORT TERM.

Buhari and his friends have continually dug a ditch around themselves.

Buhari has threaded the wrong path so far and have continually spoken through his proxies believing he is exonerated.

One of APC's dwindling propaganda

All states indicted are PDP states while the their APC states are exonerated.

Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Imo that are notoriosly popular for guest house entertainment for govt officials were carefully exonerated.

Even edo state well known for their govt guest house girls were reported to be saints too.

Punch should quit the distraction and help awaken Buhari to the expectations on his campaign promises
