With the level of extreme poverty, random abductions, uncontrolled killings, hardship and government incompetence we are experiencing in Nigeria today, we are supposed to have massive protests brewing up from different parts of the country..
In time past movements such as the Black Lives Matter (BLM), Black power, The Washington March, Youths in the civic right movement, etc were used to send a message to the government and more often than not yielded positive results. Instead of Us to create something silimiar here to to see if things can even change a little for the better, we are busy acting and exporting stupidity.

I know a DSA that works with Stanbic that earns over 350k as commsion every month. Management approved that he should be converted to a full staff at Entry level with a lower pay and he refused.
Its not always about where you are, it's about how well you're doing wherever you are.

I got an email, then a call from Dorman Long Engineering Co that I have been shortlisted for an interview for NCDMB Training. Please Nairalanders what's your say on this. Anyone who knows how beneficial this training is? I have a small job that only puts food on my table and my company's contract with Nigerian Breweries is expiring next year. I just hope this training is not one of those "white elephant training." Please advise me.

This is TOTALLY wrong. I know we have the mentality of "who go get am, go get am" but there is a slim chance that a recruitment might be done based on merit. How can this be achieved when you come online to reveal questions to those who are yet to take the exams? I have a job already which I got after series of rigorous test and interviews, if the test questions were handled this way, I wouldn't have been sitting on this desk today.

I see a lot of peeps advising you to chose being an airman than getting an adequate education. After serving 25yrs as an airforce recruit, a newly commissioned officer with a degree certificate will still rank above you. I don't know why people have this primitive mentality of grabbing anything that comes their way because the cowards are afraid of tomorrow. If you are above 23yrs, you can enroll into the airforce, if not, enroll into the school and get educated. Education is not just about getting work; it sets you up and equips you for the life journey ahead.

Just know that if you enroll into airforce now, their is a limit to what you can achieve in the future. your promotion is capped at a certain limit. With an adequate education, you can soar higher than what you are dreaming of right now. Don't be myopic.
