@OP If truly you want to be objective, you'd praise President Tinubu for preventing breakout of war with Niger when ECOWAS issued joint security statement. Mali and Burkina Faso would have joined with Niger to face Nigeria, then we'll have to battle economic challenges, internal security challenges and regional armed conflict with neighboring countries.. It would have been a disaster.

You should also factor-in the fact that Benin Republic is a small country able to tackle their internal issues unlike Nigeria where we play politics of religion and ethnicity.
Nigeria will bounce back and I see Niger coming to mend fences with the giant of Africa in the near future. I wonder why most people can't see the strength Nigeria wields in Africa and globally.
If only we could weed off the bad elements within us and elect the right leaders, I'm telling you Nigeria will be a world power and a force to reckon with on the planet.

It's one Northerner heading Immigration back then that allowed them in unchecked, undocumented with no profiling. That's the problem appointing saboteurs ro head critical agencies involved with national security.

Imagine a whooping 223 million population in Nigeria yet no provision for jobs and employment of youths.. we are focusing on trade only when we are supposed to be the most industrialized nation in Africa catering for the needs of other African countries..

The manpower is there, mineral resources plenty but very few industries.. China leveraged on her population to become a world power and industrialized nation.. The crooks in politics here are busy stealing and looting like it's no man's business.

@OP The thing is that you'll miss Nigeria and Nigerian foods a lot when you leave.. all these our native soups, onions etc. that we get easily in the markets are overpriced most times abroad. You go chop burger, you go tire.

Going far into the North will leave bitter taste in anyone's mouth. You'll start wondering where all the allocations, security votes etc. are entering. Some parts have good tarred roads o but the insecurity is sickening.

I can't forget the statement a mentally challenged man made while I was in traffic years back at Jibowu under bridge.. he said the insecurity problem in Nigeria is like cancer that gradually starts from one part, then spread to other parts of a person's body till it eventually kills the person. He was so worried and bothered (a mad man o), insisting that if Nigeria doesn't curtail insecurity now, insecurity will eventually kill Nigeria.. It's been many years now and I can't forget that statement, it's starting to seem like prophecy to me.

If a mentally challenged person that had nothing, no good clothes, no cars could be so worried, how much more "sane" citizens going about life as if all is well.. We need to wake up and do more collectively on security. E go touch everybody las las if we don't find lasting solution and help the security agencies.

We are all from different homes and background,this lady strikes me as a girl from a Muslim background and as Muslim,it is permissible to have as much as four wives as long as long as you can mentally and financially attend to their needs. I have seen men who have 4wives and their kids live in harmony without any rancor whatsoever.The bond in that family was so strong you can barely differentiate the offsprings of each wives. Like I said it requires a great deal of solomonic wisdom to handle four women and obviously not everyone has it.For me as well Im not sure I can marry more than a wife tho.

You have valid points sha.. but most, if not all women don't want to share their man with anybody. Only the ones that don't intend to stay faithful in marriage have the mindset of let the husband marry as many as possible.
