Very possible.. most of the Northerners you see have their own tribes separate from Hausa.. from Plateau to Yobe to Bauchi and you name it. In Kebbi, you have Zuru and others.

It's Nasarawa, Kano I know that have Hausas as majority tribe, there are still other tribes there.

In Zamfara, they have different tribe separate from Hausa.

In FCT Abuja, there are still other tribes apart from Gbagyi or Gwaris and it goes on and on like that.

I recently learnt that Hausas style their caps differently from the way others in North East and North Central style theirs (it's still the same cap they use) but the styling will tell you where they are from.
