VintageCocktail:Hian!!! You must be an Imo Ezemuo. You want to render me bankrupt. As a proud Nwa'ba, I will trust in the name of Jesus which is totally free. ![]() |
tearoses:I doubt if it has to do with kitchen matters cuz they cooked together while gisting as well. My sister isn't even as assertive as I am,so I am sure she didn't play the 'madam' card. The SIL is just being deliberately malicious and vindictive. Imagine her blackmailing her brother emotionally. What a biatch! |
blank:If you had read the OP, you would ve seen where I said that she asked the SIL about her sudden coldness and she attributed it to stress at work. What should she be guilty about when she knows nothing of why the lady is acting up? She might not be telling me the entire truth but I feel like she wouldn't be bothered about the whole affair if she was the one heating up the polity. |
VintageCocktail:It seems you are the assistant Ezemuo. ![]() |
Makamuanwuo:Abeg send me your address and the requirements. ![]() |
tearoses:Yeah,we ve had several heart to heart talks, trying to go over all her actions in order to know where she erred. Sadly, we couldn't get a clue. Personally, I feel the SIL is just trying to flex her muscles and displaying intimidation tactics. Annoyingly, she seems to be getting away with it cuz of her brother's lax attitude. As some posters said earlier, he is being a wuss whether for the right reasons or not. I just feel pity for her cuz she is the one carrying all the tension |
Wedon:Nah!! Her husband doesn't discuss his wife with any member of his family. I can personally vouch for him on that. They are that close knit and secretive. I only got to know about this issue cuz the strain is telling on her physically and I had to torment her to tell me. |
Makamuanwuo: Trust me,she has considered that option many times. |
My sister and her husband are a couple of months old in their marriage. The husband's younger sister, who is almost same age with my sister, moved in with them on a temporary basis (it is convenient for her to get to work from my sister's home). At first, they lived in perfect harmony and peace. They did stuff together, cooked together, and even sometimes neglected the man of the house . Out of the blue, my sister began to notice that her SIL was withdrawing from her. She asked her about it and she attributed it to stress at work. This behaviour persisted and got worse. The SIL only spoke to her in monosyllables and focused all her attention and her conversation to her brother. The next thing she did was to reject her food. Right now, she doesn't eat anything in that house touched or cooked by my sister. My sister complained to her husband about his sister's behaviour. At first, he thought she was over imagining things. Then some things happened that opened his eyes to the tension and hostility in his home. He tried to call them both to reconcile whatever differences they might have had. To his dismay, his sister openly challenged him and threatened to leave his house if he didn't drop the matter. For peace sake, he let it go ,hoping the sudden hostility will vanish as it came. Just this past weekend, the couple paid a visit to his family home. The reception they got was colder than the North pole. It was so bad that an argument broke out between the husband and his mum,who was defending her daughters' behaviour. They left earlier than planned, without being given a morsel of food. The SIL came back to my sister's home after that weekend disaster and has stopped greeting my sister completely. She does nothing at all to help out and hisses, grumbles and murmurs to herself for whatever reasons. Her brother is fed up with the drama and wants her to leave but he doesn't want a split in his family. What can and should be done on this matter? My sister is at her wits end. The tension in the house is unhealthy for a young marriage as theirs. Matured married folks should advise on this please. |

Male Semen can be used as a facial mask. Very good for the female skin. . Ladies, do not waste that of your beaux. Bottle it and store in the refrigerator. Beauty secret 101. |
airsaylongcon:Nah! I doubt it. I recently did that and my dad rebuked me for it. When I asked him about the consequences, he gave me that 'look'. Nobody told me to drop the broom and go to bed. ![]() |
Sweeping at night is believed to be a bad practice. Also,a man who crosses the legs of a pregnant lady must retrace his steps because it is believed that the unborn child will look like him. |
Ugh!! This is so not romantic. Utterly tasteless and classless. Where are the security men when you need them? Two agbayas making a spectacle of themselves. Mtchewwww.. |

June 27th 2012 was the worst day of my life. I held my mum in my arms and watched helplessly as life slowly trickled out of her. After watching the disease wreck its havoc on her beautiful body,I was proud it never touched that beautiful soul. Till the very end,she was a sport about her situation. I will always love you, mommy. Cause of death: Kidney cancer. |
Some people here are saying that our parents were wary of the divorce stigma. Some are saying love is synonymous with compatibility. Well, though there is truth in these statements,it doesn't mean they are totally true. Our generation is suffering from the Hollywood stereotypical protrayal of love. We believe that love is,'Boy meet girl and they live happily ever after'. Yet,with all the hype about love, the statistics of divorce is way higher than that of our parents. Our parents didn't enjoy that privilege of getting to know their potential spouse. They were thrown into marriage and had to adapt in order to be compatible. As time passed and kids came along, they built love. Ironically, that is the true love i.e. Love built from life's storms and blues. Compare that with our modern 'love'. |
Another couple I know were mutually in love. They did everything and went everywhere together. They were never ashamed to profess their love to anyone. She was perfect for him in everything except her temperament. She brought out the demons in him. They played out the script in Eminem's 'I love the way you lie'. Always fighting and making up thereafter. He put up with her for a long time until the day she burnt all his certificates. They were in love but definitely not compatible. |
A friend of mine was deeply in love with another mutual friend of ours. When I say love,I mean the type seen in Indian movies(the kind we call mumu love over here in Nigeria). He loved her so much that he tolerated all her excesses, and trust me,there were many. She was never considerate, caring, respectful etc. She went as far as insulting his homies when they came visiting. Still,he stuck with her. As the years went by,he became unhappy and depressed and it even affected his psyche. To save himself,he had to call it quits with her,and she didn't bat an eyelid when he broke it off. Back to the question, there was love but the two just weren't compatible. |
@amara,your hypocrisy is nauseating. Why are you ranting on and on about Linda judging your church and others, when you and your chosen brethren are not any different? There are many instances where the testimony moderator,Pst Sam Obijiaku has cast aspersion on many churches right there on the pulpit. He will always ask a testifier,' Were u attending a church before coming to Chosen?' The testifier will take the bait and start listing all the churches he has ever stepped into. That question alone is enough to blacklist those churches(e.g Redeemed,Winners,Synagogue). Isn't that also passing judgement? |
gazilion: I feel bad when people begin to argue on things of eternal values. I'm not a Chosen member, but I've attended Lord's Chosen while in Nigeria few times and also attended their night virgils at their HQ's. I'm happy with the zeal of so many innocent members of the church. Something happened that made me leave with my family. I prayed fervently and the revelations I got were not exciting. I can say with cautious trepidation - knowing the eternal consequence of the deceived that those who are there, should pray fervently and ask God for the truth of the situation. IF YOU DO THIS WITH ALL SINCERITY, GOD WILL SHOW YOU!Do you mind sharing your revelation for the benefit of those who are still 'trapped' there? |
peteregwu: you are a Christian nd you dont what is called faith and what it does. I Tue world is not up to 10 billion yet, don't you know the chosen vision is from generation to generation. it is also extended to our children children.I don't know if it is intentional or not, but there is always a bite in your words. You seem to sound sarcastic and mocking when you try to reply some posts, and Brother, it is not right and christianlike. It is offensive and you should take note. Respond in love. |
peteregwu: so, you have been to chosen? and what do you believe?I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. No one,not even a church, comes to the Father but by Him. This is what I believe. No more,no less. |
A woman,Sis Meg Okah gave a testimony of how she suffered greatly after watching the 'Linda' VCD. She claimed that after watching the VCD, she burned all the Chosen materials with her. That night, she had a strange dream, where she saw herself in the midst of children, praying. Up in the sky, there was no cloud or signs of rainfall. In fact, the sun was shining brightly. Suddenly, thunder struck and mingled with fire from heaven and hit her hard and her entire body was on fire. She held her ears and shouted Jesus!! Then she woke up. After that dream, she fell terribly ill and began to take leave of her senses. She had to go to her state pastor(Chosen) to confess that she burned and destroyed all her chosen materials,e.g apron, stickers, handkerchieves etc. After this confession and her testimony on the pulpit, she became healed of that affliction. This is one of the many testimonies supporting the theory that there is a demonic power behind the VCD. As for me, I dnt see God as being a God of fear and vengeful wrath. If God decides to show me the errors of my ways,He would do that without rendering me half dead. This testimony reminds me of what happens when you offend an oracle. |
Other names used are, ' The god of my pastor's power' , 'The god of Lazarus Muoka' and 'Baba Ijesha.' Hilarious, dnt you think? |
