This obviously is an empty threat, if Buhari asks them to defer their recess, they will do so without battling an eyelid, after all, he was instrumental to most of them getting their seats.

I agree with you 100%; but what will make a man to repeat the same mistake is what baffle me.
Thanks to those that voted Buhari.
Unfortunately i am in this sh!t with those that voted this inept leader.

Guy those pple know the atm card details of all the banks i use.. They knew my precise location until i discovered they were tracking my phone. I had to change my phone immediately but it's too late cos they know all my life already. Even Netherlands chased them out of their country last year because they refused to respect users privacy. I messaged the lottery board to warn them of 1xbet but till now there is no reply. If they decided to steal billions of dollars from Nigeria they will do that in a blink of an eye. This country too yeye.. No security at all.

So many educated Nigerians are not aware of this. It is a pity. The day i stumble on leaks of what these people are doing to us, i nearly weep for Nigeria and other third world countries which we knw Africa has the highest.

This guy is something else. If i may ask who is ineffectual buffon.
If all the Agriculturist start demanding for settlements, what do you think will happen to this country?
Cow rearing is a private business up north same as goat, chicken, dog, pig, etc are that of the southern Nigeria; with these every body shld provide for his or her business.
Or you think Buhari will remain in power forever. When a president that is a grand patron of any agricultural produce come up, wouldn't his people demand for their own settlement?

We shld ask ourselves, why didn't these herdmen came out boldly when OBJ, Yara dua, GEJ were in power?
Simple, those president were not not their grand patron and can decide to take drastic action against them. But now that they have one, they can do anything and get away with it; that is why they have stated clamoring for a Northen president come 2023 and most be a Fulani.
Yorubas are the missing link in our Southern resolve to be united. How i wish all Southern states can come together and demand for restructuring or separation.

Dee60 post:

The problem on hand is a complex one and southerners need to understand this. First, let us not lump all of them together. There is the harmless Fulani that is nomadic and that is completely displaced, meaning they do not have a place anywhere they can call their own. There has to be consideration for them because they are also Nigerians. As long as southerners criminalise this group the problem will persist. Somehow, this group is often totally neglected even when they are talking about solutions for them.

There is the elite Fulani. They own cows and would love to have grazing areas and not ranches because it means low cost labour and feeding for them. They are the ones talking all the time and they pretend to look after the interests of Fulanis but somehow maybe they are after their own economic interests.

There are the terror herdsmen Fulanis. It looks like these ones are mostly driven by unknown persons. They dont even rear cows but they go about destroying villages. Government has to find an answer. Some of these carry cows around but their interest is not in rearing but in destruction. These are the killers, but unfortunately, we now commonize and label all fulanis in this category.

You also have immigrant Fulanis (some of them may not be into terror) who are migrating southward because of climate change and because their countries in Northern Africa no longer have water or grazing fields. Their lakes are dried and they are forced to move southward into Nigeria for survival. These ones start with survival interests but soon join the terror gangs because some people may be behind this terror drive and are providing funds to them that they cannot get from rearing cows.

First step is to distinguish between all these. I guess that most of us southerners just lump them together and this wont move us forward. There are Fulanis everywhere. They have lived in Ogun state and other states for ages and they have mixed with the people. If they lump the quiet and peace-loving ones with others, the problem might get more complicated. Government does not need to set up RUGA because there is ruga already. Government should be involved in flushing out criminal elements and fostering peace between those who are peaceful within the communities they already live in. There is no need to invest anything to support nomads because they are nomads!

Fulanis are more culturally adapted to Northern Nigeria. What this means is that if technology is developed to improve on the grazing (like they do in the middle east), the correct nomads may be restricted mostly to the north.

In the real sense, the Middle Belt still has a nagging problem. Reason is, Fulanis dont want to accept that they dont have any place in Benue and Plateau. This problem has been there for ages but I think politicians who are not selfish can work on how to resolve this a bit.

I agree with you but government need to put sentiment and tribalism apart.
