all you these guys talking about "fast", don't even use their computer for anything other than browsing.

no significant differences between the two OSs on a properly configured machine. i have vista sp2, runs so smooth. I am waiting for Windows 9.

@poster. vista is not an issue anymore if you have sp2, that service pack has made vista very stable, and if you have a capable processor and the right amount of RAM i do not envisage any issues. however, if you want to compare vista and the Mac OS, just google it out.

i can get you a cool htc windows mobile smartphone that meets your spec., but what is your budget for the phone?

53kb/sec is not the same as 53KB/sec. pls always put the correct unit. by the way that's not your download speed. no network in africa offers that kind of speed.

It is true Zain 3G for now is activated for post paid lines only and prepaid users considered to be high end users and all this is due to capacity issues. The prepaid lines that are on the 3g network got there by one of two possibilities

1. They got lines at the shops meant for 3G data cards or modems or

2. They got it on their already activated lines when the consultant at the shop (by discretion) submits the line for the acticvation profiling the prepaid customer as a high end user.

over 92% of zain customers are on prepaid. so you want to tell us the company will ignore a potential income stream for a meagre fraction of postpaid customers who are very busy to even have the time to use the internet. no wonder the company is broke.
my friend this company had lack competent engineers. period. this 3G issue got nothing to do with subscribers. their gprs is only funtional in few areas. 3G no be garri.

i don't think it has got anything to do with number. i use the same SIM in Lagos , no wahala, but immediately i step into PHC, the gprs icon on my phone just disappears

we don't get ordinary gprs in Portharcourt, not to talk of EDGE or 3G. when you search for UMTS you can see the the network but it's not accessible. Zain, do we need special SIM for gprs too?
